Very well made video man. Seriously thank you for this. I’m just getting into making beats and my favorite era and genre of all music is hip hops G-funk era!! So naturally, this is the music I have been trying to create. It’s not easy for a beginner. I’ve struggled a lot and I feel like I honestly haven’t come very far after trying to make beats now for a couple months.
Can i ask you, how long did it take you to get confident in your beats? And what did you do to get there? Like, did you take any actual classes or just watch UA-cam videos?

Thnks , its much more apreciate , then boring trap melodys), for those who like to back in the dayz chillin vibez), u know for mor me is common issue here is how much swing on diffrent bpms and how place drums off the grid properly, remember most of g shit was off akai, specific grid, u know still struggling with placing off grid with mouse in fl, but i think its ver important for proper bouncy, and ye battlecat type beats would be so cool maan)

Just to tell you mate...half time would be if the snare is only on the 3...normal time is when snare is on 2 and 4 and double time the snare is on the 2 3 and 4.....your in standard time just at a slow tempo....

Nice try but too much use of same notes and same type of back ground sounds. I mean, Rhodes + pads + Rhodes again. strings were pretty useless no melody.
