As a boy I used to stand on the bridge at Havant in awe of the Billy wondering what it would be like to actually take a ride on it. Never did as Mum and Dad did it have two pennies to rub together. Still great memories.
I was taken on the Hayling Billy way back in about 1960 with my younger brother and a neighbours child by my mothers housekeeper for a day at the sea side. Great adventure. 🙂
Used to travel on Billy as a kid walking from the station to Higworth Caravan Park for two weeks' holiday in a caravan named Sunray...memories. Now half the world away. 🦘
Only happy memories of travelling to the sea side on the Hayling Billy on very hot days. Return trip not so good, packed in like sardines, hot and tired.

Closure was 3 Nov 1963, not 1965 at approx 2min intro the video. Good video though.
