Learn Spanish with Unpacking - Part 1 [Comprehensible Input / Lower-intermediate]

- Hoy comienzo una nueva serie y una nueva categoría más enfocada o recomendada para aquellos que estéis empezando con el Español y/o no lleváis aún muchas horas de Input Comprensible.
Aunque, también os la recomiendo a los que ya tengáis un buen nivel de español, pero queráis mejorar vuestro vocabulario o afianzarlo (afianzar significa asegurar o fijar) o también para aquellos que simplemente, queráis relajaros un rato escuchando el idioma, mientras disfrutáis de juegos indie calmados y relajantes.
Así que, en esta categoría que llamaré “principiantes” o iniciación o algo similar, añadiré aquellos juegos que no cuentan con una narrativa complicada y que tienen mecánicas más simples, para que os concentréis plenamente en la escucha y en la comprensión del lenguaje.
[Vocabulario]
Afianzar: Asegurar o fijar algo, en este caso, el vocabulario.
Dormitorio: La habitación donde dormimos.
Alejar: Mover algo o alguien más lejos.
Acercar: Mover algo o alguien más cerca.
Paredes: Las superficies verticales que limitan una habitación.
Escritorio: Mesa sobre la que escribimos o trabajamos.
Escalera: Estructura con peldaños que sirve para subir o bajar.
Estantería: Mueble con baldas donde colocamos objetos.
Baldas: Superficies horizontales de una estantería.
Cómoda: Mueble con cajones donde se guardan cosas.
Cortinas: Tela que cubre las ventanas para regular la luz o privacidad.
Suelo: La superficie en la que apoyamos los muebles y caminamos.
Almohada: Objeto donde apoyamos la cabeza al dormir.
Manta: Tela que cubre el cuerpo para abrigarse mientras dormimos.
Sábanas: Tela que cubre el colchón y en la que nos acostamos.
Colchón: Superficie blanda sobre la que dormimos.
Peluche: Muñeco suave hecho de tela, comúnmente usado por niños.
Tamagotchi: Juguete electrónico popular en los años 90 que simula el cuidado de una mascota virtual.
Radiocassette: Aparato de los años 90 para reproducir y grabar música en cintas de cassette.
Portada: La parte frontal de un libro o cuento, donde se ve el título y la ilustración principal.
Trofeo/Copa: Objeto que se entrega como premio, generalmente en competiciones.
Cubilete: Recipiente que se usa para guardar lápices.
Candado: Dispositivo que cierra y asegura algo, como un diario.
Cerradura: El agujero donde se introduce la llave para abrir un candado.
Hucha: Recipiente donde se guarda dinero para ahorrar.
Simon: Juego de memoria donde hay que repetir secuencias de luces y sonidos.
Peonza/Trompo: Juguete que gira sobre sí mismo cuando se lanza con una cuerda o los dedos.
Cubo de Rubik: Rompecabezas en forma de cubo, donde hay que alinear colores en cada cara.
Papelera: Recipiente donde se tiran papeles y otros desechos.
Ajedrez: Juego de mesa de estrategia con piezas como rey, reina, torre, etc.
Pisapapeles: Objeto pesado que se usa para evitar que los papeles se muevan o caigan.
Cabecero: Parte de la cama donde colocamos la cabeza.
Comba/Cuerda: Cuerda usada para saltar en un juego.
Linterna: Dispositivo que ilumina zonas oscuras.
Tijeras infantiles: Tijeras diseñadas para niños, con punta redondeada y poco afiladas.
Póster: Imagen o ilustración que se pega en la pared como decoración.
Girar: Acción de hacer que un objeto dé vueltas sobre un eje.
Marco: Borde que rodea una foto o ilustración.
Filtro: Efecto que cambia los colores o apariencia de una foto.
Pegatinas: Imágenes adhesivas que se usan para decorar o personalizar algo.
Autobús de dos niveles: Vehículo típico de Londres con dos pisos o plantas.

Excited for a new series! I think this is a great game for learning spanish, as there is a lot of common household objects that are very useful to learn. Thanks Juarez!

Thanks, I’m really enjoying this. I have some feedback though, and it isn’t meant to be negative feedback! I have around 600 hours of CI now and personally I think this is more of an intermediate video, I’m quite comfortable with it but it still has some parts which I find a little difficult - which is good because we have to learn! I think your videos of the plucky squire are actually advanced content as I find them quite hard and I have to concentrate a lot when I watch them. This isn’t a bad thing at all and is just my personal opinion, others may disagree with me. I think if I was watching this at 100 hours of CI it would be extremely hard. Thanks, I love your videos and I hope you don’t take this negatively because I’m enjoying them so much!
This is super interesting, AllyBigGuns. Thank you. I don't really know how to name or differentiate the content... because I want to create another category called Advanced (maybe) where I can share content with less help, more difficult narratives and my normal pace speaking... but I also was thinking that maybe "low-intermediate", "mid-intermediate", "high-intermediate"? What do you think? Btw, I love your feedback and I appreciate it a lot.
Tengo 350 horas de CI y creo que la serie de “El Escudero Valiente” es perfecta para mi nivel; Es difícil, pero no demasiado difícil.
Este episodio fue muy fácil, pero no es un problema. Me parece que este episodio fue ‘principiante alto’ y “El Escudero Valiente” es de nivel intermedio alto o avanzado. Solo es mi opinión.
@@LearnSpanishWithIndieGames Honestly, I think once a learner hits intermediate level it doesn't really matter, intermediate and advanced content is suitable for learning. But at the beginner stage I think I would have struggled with this video, just because I would need the simplest sentences possible "I do this. I do that" etc.

After reading your comments, I was thinking that categorizing the content by difficulty might not be a good idea in this case, since the level is totally subjective, and what is easy for one person may be very difficult for another. I've decided to rename the categories to Relax and Adventure. In Relax, you'll find series with calm games and light narratives, like Unpackaging, and in Adventure, those games with slightly more complex narratives and more dynamic mechanics. I believe all the videos will be at an intermediate Spanish level, ranging from lower to advanced depending on the episode, vocabulary, narrative, etc. But with these categories, I think there’s no issue with what each person considers more or less difficult, and you can focus on what you really feel like enjoying that day… something more relaxed or more dynamic. What do you think guys?

I think the only way you can get to that beginner level is by playing something really simple (idk, slime rancher for example looks simple), adding a lot of graphics on-screen and gesturing on a webcam
