At 7:37 there’s a poster to the bottom left that show the ride system for the great movie ride, along with the words: The great “Moving” ride. Shows how Disney is down into their roots and know where their amazing pieces of tech and amazement came from.
Alex’s Creations also at the beginning of the ride, before you enter into the tunnel, look up and you’ll see it says ‘1928’. This is referencing to when Mickey was first featured on the big screen.
@@ReccaWolf I get the pun. But he said "show the ride system for the great movie ride". Just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing in the reference.
Hays Coleman OMG, I just realized That was a popular gag that was often used in various classic Disney cartoons! Which I think makes this even funnier! 😁
That fourth car really gets shafted in terms of time spent in show scenes and with Goofy. I’m surprised they didn’t switch up the order of the train halfway through the ride to account for that.
The cars get into a symmetrical formation at the start of the dance studio scene, with the entrance door right down the middle. Should be pretty simple to just "mirror image" the routes they take as they come in.
Okay just so you all know this ride is basically about Pluto because if you look for him in every scene he’s helping Mickey and Minnie retrieve back their picnic basket bc they misplace it now they can’t have a picnic so Pluto saves the day for them
I do really like how there's lots of different things you see depending on your train position. Eg. the 4th car seems to get you more of a chance to find hidden details while the cars further to the front are better for following the story. That said I sort of thought Chuuby would be hidden in more parts of the ride but I only see him in the opening and closing scenes. I'm also a little sad Oswald only gets a text reference in a paper headline.
You can see Oswald in the carnival scene and he is waving his arms as he is about to ride the rollercoaster since he is in line, you can also see Hortensia!
I'd rank it as Car 1 Car 3 Car 4 Car 2 It feels like Car 2 is constantly being rushed out of the scenes before they even arrived, and car 4 is just missing some action at times...but it is cool being car 4 as you get to be the front of the smasher scene
@@elvingarcia3010 No. Just Tokyo at the moment that i know of. Paris was a rumour. The Oriental Land Company, who own the Tokyo park, had seen the ride in its testing and said they wanted one also.
Car 1: Gets to see Goofy the most and gets closest to the Mickey and Minnie animatronics, also gets to enter scenes in a cool way. However it doesn’t get the full story. Car 2: Close to Goofy, however really skips some of the scenes, especially the underwater one Car 3: Gets to view the scenes the best by a long shot, and you get the full story. Timing is also the best. However, very little Goofy. Car 4: Even less Goofy, like it’s hard to tell he’s even in the ride, also it really feels like you get to miss a lot of cool moments, completely skips the jungle scene too. Ranked is 1.3 2.1 3.2 4.4
Somehow this new ride reminded me of a video game structure. Particularly the set pieces. You've got your desert world, your carnival world, your jungle/island world, water level (every gamer's favorite), followed by the sewer/city level... You see where I'm going with this.
@@faith4disney It’s the merry go round in the park, Walt Disney was visiting Griffith Park in Los Angeles with his daughters Diane and Sharon. While watching them ride the merry-go-round, he came up with the idea of a place where adults and their children could go and have fun together,
Excuse me but....is no one going to ask why there is a trombone in the ride? Yeah...there is...in the tornado scene. Also in car 4 you get to see Pluto’s adventure unlike the other cars!
This is MUCH better than the disappointment that is the Ratatouille ride in Epcot! I still don't know how Disney got away with basically having the majority of the ride be sitting in front of a screen watching nothing happen, then traveling through themed but empty rooms with barely anything happening in them for a "ride".
The only problem with this is the fact that it’s about that Mickey mouse you know the flash animation one that can’t be in a 3D environment without look reared af
Does it bug anyone else that the screen with Goofy in the back of the train engine is basically a rectangle screen shoved in a round opening? It cuts off the top of his head/hat. With all the crazy new technology that they utilized in this ride, it seems sort of lazy to me that they couldn't come up with a better screen type to project Goofy onto. When you see his hat and head get cut off by the edge of the screen, it kind of breaks the illusion.
it's even weirder because it's not really a screen. Goofy is projected onto some sort of mesh and there's a screen in the back with the background. (the background moves seperate from Goofy)
It’s much much more complex than a simple screen. If you see it in person it looks way way better. It’s almost like he is really there. Cameras do not do the effect any justice.
I have no problems with the effect or how it looks. I understand the complexity of the technology being used. That's why I was so confused why they wouldn't make the screen fit the rounded shape of the window. I feel like it takes away from the illusion a bit. They did so well with the ride, it just seems weird to me that they didn't do the window better.
@@ryancampbell955 just how Sutton Griffin has stated the black bar is not really noticable in real life and that the video does not do the effect justice since it some how captures a black bar when it is not there.
I don't get it. A bunch of random things happening to the passengers? Clever and colorful but compared to the 11 ride that Rise of the Resistance is... it is a bit of a let down and already feels dated. Not even a hint of the Mickey Mouse song.
Just Imagine The idea is that you’re in a cartoon so cartoon logic follows. One minute you're at an amusement park running away from a twister the next your waltzing in a dance studio. Weird things happen that don't usually happen in real life because it's a cartoon
They had to build a ride in an existing show building following basically the same track mechanics. You can't expect Rise of the Resistance level quality when they had the luxury of starting from the ground up. That said, there does seem to be a bit lacking in some parts, but hey, it's new. Disney refurbish and and add things from time to time. And it's a family ride like what you'd find in Fantasy Land, not a "thrill" ride.
