S2 Cognition Podcast: Episode 34 with New England Patriots Calvin Anderson

Calvin Anderson has had an interesting path in the NFL. Despite going undrafted in 2019, he has played in 46 NFL games to date. As he lays out his journey for us in Episode 34, he highlights the mental and physical challenges of playing on the offensive line at the highest level and how he has come to appreciate the importance of quick reactions and decision-making skills, in the game. He takes us through how understanding the scheme, being able to isolate and focus during high-pressure situations, on-the-fly thinking, and reacting amidst conflict are critical skills that set players apart. He has discovered that through identifying and quantifying these skills coaches can better assess their players AND coach them more efficiently.
