  • Want to build a donut wall for your wedding or event without spending a TON of MONEY? Look no further! I build my own donut wall for my wedding to help save on overall costs of an already expensive event.. I want to show you that you can easily build one too ON A BUDGET!
    M E A S U R E M E N T S :
(I bought enough plywood to build four donut walls, but the measurements below are what is used in the video)
    + Plywood: 24" x 24" x 3/4"
+ Row Spacing: leave 7" of space at the top for lettering/decal and this will be your first row, keep measuring 4-3/4" down for each row after until you have four rows
+ Peg Spacing: Mark your pegs every 4" along the row, this should create five pegs for each row
+ Pegs: 3-3/4" long (each dowel creates about twelve pegs)

Thanks a million, darling. I am started my own business making gourmet donuts but I now wanna make custom donuts for events such as weddings, birthday parties etc so this was VERY helpful. I am taking this project on for March 2022. The plan is to create 4 board of different sizes so this size looks like it'll be the first one I try! Looking forward to it. Thank you again.

Hi! I’m glad you love the video! The donut walls are super fun!! It can be leaned against something or you can buy an easel from an art supple store for later donut walls to help keep it up.

What size board did you use for your wedding one? Measurements too, please! I am getting the same decal from Etsy for our Vow Renewal in September! Congratulations on your wedding and thank you for such a thorough tutorial!

Hi Gretchen, so cute you’re doing a vow renewal! The size of my wedding board is 48”x48”. I believe the spacing between the pegs are 4” from the board and 4” in between. Let me double check my notes to confirm the measurements for the decal and bottom. Thank you for your kind words!
