FINALLY! A QUICK RELEASE ROOF TOP TENT MOUNTING SYSTEM!

- The Front Runner Quick Release Tent Mount kit allows Roof Top Tent owners to remove their tent from their vehicle in seconds without any tools.
Need your daily driver back? Don't fit in your garage? Save precious sweat, tears and time. Quickly and easily remove your Roof Top Tent without tools.
Once these brackets are installed on a Front Runner Rack, no tools are needed to remove or mount a roof top tent. Just release the tabs on the 4 latches and in seconds, lift the tent away.
No more wrenching in tight spaces during the “off-season” or weekday removal of a roof top tent.
Currently compatible with the Front Runner Roof Top Tent - by Front Runner (TENT031) and all Autohome / Maggionlina tents.
This strong and rattle free mounting system is built off-road tough for use with Front Runner Racks.
Tents can be mounted at 2 different heights, depending on clearance needs. The bottom of the tent can sit either 40mm or 17mm above the rack slats. Certain tent sizes and designs will dictate the height needed to clear the edge of the Front Runner Rack. Fitting instructions are included.
4 low profile base brackets are bolted to a Front Runner Rack and 4 self-aligning bushes are secured to the the tent base channels using the supplied plates.
The brackets latching system feature a safety catch.
No tent modification required.
Removed tents can be stored on the ground, raised slightly off the floor by the supplied steel bushes.
Supplied with all required mounting hardware and a special installation tool.

Just here for Frankie...
Yeah goergie 🤣
Frankie would get it!!
Just here for Frankie... (c) when those gonna be available? we need 2 sets here in Dubai asap))
i settup a hoist in my garage so i back up, connect my entire bed rack, lift it all as one unit and i have my bed free again
if recomend a similar settup for anyone who uses their truck as a daily driver and overlander
That sounds like it's super convenient!
Will these work on a Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform?
There's a chance they can work, but we cannot guarantee fitment as it is mainly designed for our racks. As long as you can use M8 hardware with your rack then you can find a way to make it work.
What type of lock (security) do they have? Getting stolen, is definitely high these days. What type of security do these have, in preventing that?
They have a keyed lock system. Thanks!
@@Frontrunneroutfitters looks pretty easy to cut through, easier than a bike lock. Can you confirm?
Loved Your competition and in particular the human voice failure in calling the bank :-)
Thanks!
I'm interested in both your rack and roof top tent. Is the Toyota a long or short bed? Thanks
If it's quick and easy for me, it's quick and easy for thieves. Any suggestions on how I could add a quick locking mechanism?
Hi Raymond, they are lockable. www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/quick-release-tent-mount-kit.html
@@Frontrunneroutfitters How do you secure it? My guess is a padlock? If yes, what's the maximum thicknesses?
Could you please tell me what is the difference between the quick release systems TBMK008 and TBMK011? To me both look the same!?
If you're looking to use the quick release system with the Front Runner Tent, then TBMK011 is the one you want!
Would be awesome if you could come up with a similar system for removing the roof rack itself! Would save lots of fuel when not using the roof rack, and save the wallet as well as the planet! :D
We always appreciate the feedback! That would be amazing if it could be done!
@@Frontrunneroutfitters Is it done yet?

Hi there, if I mount these quick release mounts from underneath the rack to get a low profile, is there enough room to put my hand in to lock/unlock the tent?
All depends on the size of the hand but generally speaking yes, there is always a way to get where you need to get. Thanks!
Just got a No Boundaries 10.6 Rv an have Rhino rack that came mounted on the roof. Was wondering if these brackets would work to mount my CVT tent to my Rv. Thank you Rhino said could drill holes but since is new an under warranty I do not want to do.
You'll have to check with Rhino Rack or CVT! We can't be sure as we don't make either of those!
Would it be possible to weld the base mounts to my metal tube rack and then mount the other piece to my channels on a MIA aluminum clam shell tent? I need a quick release system and want to use yours. Thanks
We cannot advise any custom mounting methods as they can void the product's warranty.
Is there a way to add a lock or something to add security?
The Quick Release Tent Mount has been updated to include locks!
will these work with ikamper and can the mounts be mounted 90-dgress from shown (e.g. insert tent left to right instead of forward
They certainly will work with iKamper tents but the orientation for loading the tent will always be forward/backwards when loading/unloading.
@@Frontrunneroutfitters I have a different roof rack (Teraflex nebo for Jeep JKU) and it can be easily mounted on the T-slotted rack if rotated by 90%. Just curious why we can't rotate the mount to accept from left/right?
would the frontrunner ikamper quick release mount work with an uptop overland roof rack? I would love to purchase this if compatible.
Two want to know please answer!
It's a nice roof rack but wish it was I bit more quiet on the road
We can not guarantee fitment of our products with other brands, but one of our expert techs would be happy to discuss your specific situation and see how we can help. Feel free to email us at info@frontrunneroutfitters.com and we'll do our best to help you.
If you have any questions regarding noise, feel free to email our expert techs at info@frontrunneroutfitters.com. Any exterior modification will add to noise but we'd still be happy to discuss it with you.
Why is it a different system online to buy then what your showing
This is an older video. We have updated the Quick Release system since then. You can find our newer updated video of the Quick Release Tent Mount Kit on our channel.
How much height does this add compared to normal mounting?
Hi Josh, there are two ways you can mount the Quick Release Tent Mount Kit. The first is on top of the rack, which adds about one inch in height compared to the standard tent mount. You can also bolt the Quick Release Tent Mount from underneath the rack, with the latching bracket coming through between the slats, which results in about the same height as the standard tent mount. Thank you!
Awesome! Ill add these to my list
You guys are genius. I'm placing an order for these things.
Hate to ask but any idea if these work on a rhino rack pioneer tray?
juan01aggie I'd like to know it too. :)
Is the quick release mount able to be used on other branded roof racks, e.g. ARB? Looking to install these on an ARB rack with some mount adaptors they have.
They are mainly designed to work on our rack but feel free to reach out to our customer service team and they can let you know if the mounts can possibly work with your rack.
I can confirm it works for a prinsu rack
@@grahambrowning1379can you send a few pics how you used these with a prinsu. Very interested. Thanks
Do you sell just the tent mounting channels to install on my current tent? Or will the mount fit in my MIA hard shell tent channels? Thanks
We do not sell the mounting channels on their own, but we'd be happy to have one of our experts try and help you work with compatibility with other brands if you email us at info@frontrunneroutfitters.com
Can I use the TBMK012 to mount my Roofnest Falcon to FR Slimline II rack?
The products are not compatible together, but feel free to reach out to our team of expert techs at info@frontrunneroutfitters.com and they may be able to help you find alternative solutions!
Are these compatible with a Tuff Stuff Alpha? The tent uses square head bolts in rails to mount to the u bracket.
We've had customers use it but we recommend contacting our awesome customer service team because you may need another part. They can be reached at info@frontrunneroutfitters.com. Thanks!
Do you make these on a low profile to go on a Prinsu roof rack?
Our accessories are proprietary to the Slimline II Roof Rack system. We recommend you read through our return policy before trying any items out, as we can't guarantee fitment to other brands.
Do these fit onto a Rhinorack platform? And is the release system lockable?
Our tent mounts do work with a variety of tents and can be locked with an accessory lock, but we can't be sure about specific use with different rack systems. Feel free to email one of our expert techs at info@frontrunenroutfitters.com to get help with your specific rig!
Would this work on the GFC Superlite tent? Thank you.
Our Quick Release Tent Mounts can be used with many applications/combinations but we can't guarantee compatibility! Feel free to email info@frontrunneroutfitters.com and we'll do our best to help guide you!
did you ever try this quick release kit with your superlite? Thinking about getting it for my frontrunner rack!
@@chaddennison8370 I actually went for different roofrack as I never heard back from them. I’m planning to buy the quick release from gfc in the future.
How can I get a set of these?? I have tried everywhere and I can't get them in Australia from Front Runner - happy to pay freight from o/seas
Standby, John! These will be available around the world soon. Thank you!
..and same question; availability in the US?
Can it be used with other manufactured tents or racks?
Yes it can! Please visit the product page for more info: www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/quick-release-roof-top-tent-mount-kit.html
Will this work with a globalroadoutdoors navigator tent on a gobi rack?
We can't always speak for compatibility with other brands, especially when mixed and matched, but feel free to message us your preferred contact info and we'll have an expert tech reach out to help you as best as possible!
Entertaining lol. 😅 thanks for the info
What about Tuff Stuff Alpha II RTTs? Will it fit those?
While we can't guarantee fitment with all other brands, our mounts do work with many models. Feel free to reach out to the tent manufacturer or email our team of experts at info@frontrunneroutfitters.com and we can have someone help you with your specific rig and setup, as best as possible!
Gonna be honest, I don't really understand. I bought a tent from another truck with a front runner rack and the front runner brackets. I unbolted it in about 2 minutes and then put it on my rack pretty quickly. Garage application makes sense but "hours" seems like an exaggeration to me
Nice work, Jacob! You must be great with a wrench!
@@Frontrunneroutfitters is this product lockable? I live in a city so I'd like to be able to put my tent in storage but at the same time don't want it too easy to remove.
It is lockable!
Is there a theft deterrent with these? Seems that they'd make it easy for anyone to remove a tent, no? Thanks!
These brackets are lockable!
soooo its super quick to steal? Please tell me these lock...
They absolutely lock!
@@Frontrunneroutfitters Nice! Do you need your own padlock or something? Always thought being able to lock your RTT was the one major feature most don't address.
It can be mounted in a rhino rack pioneer?
The brackets were specifically designed for Front Runner Racks. Thank you!
So no it cabt be mounted on a rhino pioneer?
How do these lock?
Our accessory lock will do the job for you:
www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/rack-accessory-lock-small.html
I cant find the mount on your website anymore. What happened?
The response was huge! We are currently sold out but expect to have them available again by mid-September.
Do these work in conjunction with the tall tent mounts?
These replace the mounts altogether. Thank you!
I had my money on bryan
Why are you always out of stock?
We hope to have them back in stock soon!
Easy to get it stolen as well!
You'll be pleased to know that it's lockable with the use of a small accessory lock such as this one:
www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/rack-accessory-lock-small.html
You guys need to put the quick release engineers to work on those locks. Looks like you can cut those with a pair is scissors. Security is huge with me and I’m sure a lot of other people looking at this product.
If you need help with any Front Runner products, you won’t get it from them. Horrible customer service
Please send us your contact details so we can review your experience and assist as best we can.
