The stock exchange price is 26 euros / MWh = HUF 10,000.
1 m3 of gas is about 10 kWh, so 1 MWh = 100 m3
10,000 / 100 = HUF 100 /m3 !!! about the same as the Hungarian gas price with utilities reduced below the average consumption!
And if someone exceeds the average, they pay HUF 700 as a "reduced market gas price"!
Since the fall of 2022, the market price of gas has been continuously decreasing, today's price of 26 euros is not at all outrageous, it was at this level a year ago, but it was also 13 euros! A year ago, the average price was 35 euros!
And the companies pay the 2nd highest gas price in the EU, which increases inflation!
So the Hungarian residential gas price is not cheaper than the stock price!

And, that, fine interviewer...finally, said it all. .It explained "everything" - for me. Why he has changed from the passionate speech more than two decades ago about 1956...to today. Has he really dismissed Hungary's suffering at the hands of the USSR?
