There's plenty of Lebanese charcoal chicken shops around Sydney these days. It might be one of the best things about living here. I first discovered charcoal chicken years ago, back when I was in high school, and it quickly became one of our go-to meals to eat with our friends. There's just something so incredible about how the garlic sauce goes with the beautiful smokey charcoal chicken and the tangy pickles!
Al Barakeh definitely has one of the best charcoal chicken I've tried here in Sydney! They also have other awesome traditional Lebanese dishes like fattoush salad, stuffed cabbage rolls (malfouf mahshi), stuffed vine leaves (warak enab) and sambousek. But nothing better here than the chicken and the garlic sauce!

Guess I should give more eye contact 🤣
I lived 5min walk away for 5yrs, can confirm their chicken and garlic dip are the 💣🔥 also all the pickles etc are legit home-made.
It all looks SO SO good *homer drool* Never thought about making my own DIY wrap with all the dishes - great idea!! Been trying to see if all the places you go to will deliver to my area! Unfortunately this place does not but El Jannahs does!! Love your videos Kev, keep it up!! ❤
The editing keeps getting better and better!
Guess I have to keep Brian with me for the rest of my life 🤣🤣

Contents looking slick SFB.
Love this!
Thank you heaps Savanagh!
I looove your channel man, I like that it's here in Sydney where we can go to these places. I think it will go a long way. Hopefully UA-cam algorithm gets better with suggesting local content. You seem very familiar with Lebanese food 🙂 especially when you made the rolls, and then you tried with hummos (the version that I would choose if I'm out and don't want my breath to smell like garlic 🙂).
Recipe for the cauliflower - healthier version that still tastes charred and delicious: steam them in the microwave for 3.5min, then put in the oven with salt, pepper, paprika and drizzle of olive oil
Thank you so much Rania 😁 ooooo I def gotta try out making that! Thanks heaps for the recipe tip
Moving to greenacre area 😀
Love vids. Go to Oakleigh in Melbourne. Start at Kalimera, Pork Souvlaki. Blow your mind.
Should do a series on top 10 charcoal chicken and top 10 garlic suace
I hit up el barakeh often. It's one of the best feeds, Even the burgers are delicious! I'm definitely going to order something tomorrow after watching this 😂🤙🤙
🤣🤣 now I feel like ordering some tomorrow LOL

The Best Charcoal Chicken in Sydney. They have improved the seating inside but the amazing food has never changed.

Gotta check out this place, been to many charcoal chicken places and always inconsistant with the chicken ie. dry
This chicken was quite juicy! That leg piece thooo
Chicken tails and toum for the win !! ❤️😃
I’ll tell ya this place is the best chicken in Australia. Trust me I been everywhere 😂👏🏽👏🏽
Can we see some mukbangs too. You’d kill that
winning with garlic sauce!
Always winning!! 😜
Mate the garlic sauce is what makes it the best!
Can you do a review on Ly's Vietnamese Kitchen in Fairfield Heights? It has 4.9 stars on google.
That chicken would of tasted amazing from a charcoal grill. The dedication using the right coal and controlling the heat would of brought out the flavour in that chicken!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Anything over charcoal tastes incredible doesn't it mate! Charcoal is a beautiful thing
My brother, you should try Nepali/Newari dish as well.
1. Jhol Momo
2. Samyaa Bajii + Haku Chewla + Chatamari
3. Thakali chicken Set.
I think there are Nepalese restaurants in Auburn, Rockdale, Harris park and CBD.
Greetings from Everest and the land of Buddha.
I will definitely feature Nepali and Newari food on the channel one day brother! I have been to Nepal a couple of years ago and love the place. Soon for you!
I’ve always said this is the best charcoal chicken in Sydney!
Can't fault it! I loved it!
Have you checked out the lebenese El Jannah chicken outlets?
Yup! Usually the Smithfield or Granville ones
How does it compare to el jannahs?
Yumm! X
:D
Fatoush is my favourite salad
It's my girlfriends favourite too!
Hi Sydney food boy. Char chicken episode is 👍.
Please for the love of millions of us blokes who love a kebab.
Donor, chick, lamb or mix it up.
We need to find the great GOTO spot for late night eaters, and drinkers 🤪
🤣🤣 ok kebab episode soon for ya Leo!
@@SydneyFoodBoy woooot cheers SFB you rock dude
I haven't tried that place but I have a feeling it's the same as LA Mono which I don't like at all. If it's close to El Jannah then I may like it. So with the Vine Leaves stuffing true Vine Leaves should contain some vegetables with the rice and no restaurant iv been to in Sydney does it. The vegetables with the rice helps reduce the sourness and makes the Vine Leaves taste better. Tabouli look pretty average you need to try the real Tabouli Home made and you will know the difference. Also their Sanbousik and kebbeh looks almost the same as any other restaurant. Let's hope the Charcoal Chicken stands out.
Prefer it to La mono mate! Can't believe you haven't tried this place yet! Great fattoush here too definitely order that
That editing though
Bruh Brian on some creative sht LOL
Try Franks Lebanese at Fairfield ❤
Has been on the list!
Nice
Thanks bro!
@@SydneyFoodBoy I love the content! I think some greek food next?
As a uni student, I would love to see budget food around different university such as unsw, uts, macquarie and etc
Review about Subway and Coffee lol
El jannah in Granville is the best place by far
Have had great chicken there, but some days can be dry! Depends on the day, but on a good day it's very good 🙂
His burgers are Fucken sensational
Which one's your favourite? I must try it the next time I visit!
Al bakerah is the best charcoal chicken in Sydney no doubt
It's damn bloody good isn't it!

👍
✊
For a good night sleep eat lots and lots of garlic nobody will bother you Hehe
I thought this place was closed
That's the sandwich spot a lot of office people go for lunch hey!
how's it compared to EJ?
EJs is great on a good day! Can be inconsistent though, sometimes a bit dry, sometimes top notch juicy. I would say I like this place better for their garlic sauce and pickles
At 2:23 these are not radish but turnip pickles btw. No offense one could see you are not that familiar with this cuisine. Loved the atmosphere and vlog as a whole though 🥰
Oh really!!! I always thought they were radish 😅 thank you for educating me Katrin! May I ask what they use for the green ones?
Normally they use cucumber indeed. I hope they cook traditional in total. Maybe they use "unusual" ingredients due to the rising food prices and shortages? Or they have a new take on dishes? The usual ingredient for the pink pickles are turnips, but it is hard to find out if you do not know.
Yes! Will keep in mind. Thank you 🙂
El jannah isn’t to bad either
Love me some EJs here and there!
Bro ur looking tank
Try Tommys kebabs
Smithfield?
@@SydneyFoodBoy yh
The toum from Charcoal Kingdom at Rockdale is unbeatable. Everything else tastes like disappointment.
it should be all about the charcoal chicken , and at what? $24 per whole chicken i dont care how good it is it is way too expensive for my pocket , saying this to each their own,
this place used to be good like 6 years ago. it's now dog shit.
Nah I disagree
@@SydneyFoodBoy I liked the flafell place in fairfield that was sick
Awesome glad you enjoyed!
Lebanese food is soo bland and basic
I respectfully disagree!
