I haven't watched the whole video yet, but the title seems a bit misleading.. These songs weren't "Removed" from the game, they were simply not added in the first place. The reason the albums had more songs than the game was because C418 wanted to give people more money's worth and a reason to actually buy the album if they already owned the game. There might be other reasons too.
yea, that’s what we call C L I C K B A I T
Bro it doesn’t matter. It’s still a good video lol.

6:41 - Flake was actually used as one of the songs in the Festive-Mashup pack available only on the legacy console versions, i especially remember hearing it alot when just flying around the world exploring it, so it's not totally unused.
nostalgia
so was Kyoto, it was also in the festive mashup.
I still have the pack and play it every Christmas to this day
Yeah
YESS I KNEW IT WASN’T REMOVED
i distinctly remember hearing flake and kyoto in that one christmas mash up pack

As someone who plays Bedrock and Ols legacy and has loaded the Festive world up, can confirm

yeah, i heard them on the christmas mash-up when i played xbox-one edition. shame they made it so you cant play it anymore
I use to play that a LOT (since you could have a free trial which lasted forever but never saved maps lol) and "Flake" brings back memories. I remember Kyoto as well.
Whoever says that there are silverfish noises in the song death is wrong, the volume alpha album was officially released on March 4, 2011 and back then Minecraft’s most recent update was Beta 1.3 and silverfish we’re added in Beta 1.8, so anyone who says there are silverfish sounds in that song are probably hallucinating.
honey wake up new minecraft conspiracy theory just dropped: silverfish sound comes from a c418 track confirmed
@@pursuji.3818 I AM AWAKE LIAR
The "silverfish noises" are probably just the sounds of the player character skinning the chicken.
@@ItsCosmoTewulfIt’s the sounds of everyone on planet earth- continuously fading away. Croaking, withering, choking on food, and fucking, DYING! We all collectively fall off this Earth! We all die some way or another we will fucking fla8l as we fall. The END IS COMING SO HEWP MEEEEE HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!,,, also, SKIBIDI TOILET!!!
For me, Excuse sounds more like a song that would play in the overworld after witnessing the things in the Nether
The song excuse is probably the most depressing song in the soundtrack
it's an excuse.
Intro does it for me, it's not necessarily depressing but it fills you with melancholy.
Flake and Kyoto were used for the Minecraft Legacy edition mashup pack
99% of these songs aren't even removed tho, some of them are unused at best.
But most of them are specifically made for the album just for those who went out of their way to buy the albums.
Flake is the minecraft Christmas theme in the 360 edition.
I was there in the Minecraft Christmas 360 edition and it was amazing iconic banger
@@wetburntbagel Yes bro it’s so nostalgic
4:07 Excuse is probably one of the most unsettling but emotional tracks ive ever heard honestly.
I swear that I've heard "Flake" in game before, I'm pretty sure it may have been in the Christmas mash-up pack or something, but it was on legacy edition when I heard it. So I don't know if it still stands.
EXACTLY. I think it must have been exclusive to the mash up
You’re right on, these songs were in the festive mash up pack back on the legacy console edition

Flake and Kyoto were used in the Festive mashup pack for Legacy Console edition
excuse feels the most nostalgic and minecrafty, kinda makes me want to dig out my old computer from when i was a kid playing the alpha and beta versions of the game
Flake and Kyoto were actually originally part of the festive mashup on the legacy console, so those sound tracks actually gave me the most nostalgia
Flake and kyoto were both used in the festive christmas map in console legacy editions
BTW some of these are used in legacy console edition festive mashup pack like Chris and flake and Kyoto and others
Great video! I haven't listened some of these (or i simply forgot) and i discovered something new for sure. My favorite from this list is probably Intro
I have a fond memorie of dog being a disk around the aquatic update
(Playing PE edition and it dropped from a creeper and I was confused why it wasn't in the creative menu)
Huh, i dont remember that?
I would like to note that Flake and Kyoto are used in the festive mash up pack on Legacy edition. I believe this mash up pack is also available via the bedrock marketplace, but I may be wrong.

Droopy Likes Your Face features samples from one of those self-reading kids books called Droopy the Dragon.
It was from Rosenfeld's previous album, which he took and put directly in Volume Alpha, as a bonus track for those who bought the song on iTunes or on vinyl.
Nobody is sure why it's called "Droopy Likes Your Face."
Flake and Kyoto were actually used in the Festive World for the Mashup pack. I remember playing on it and hearing this music.
I am glad this dude is FINALLY getting some recognition I see.
This is a good video you deserve more subscribers! (Also the song Flake and Kyoto where in the Minecraft Console edition for the Festive mash-up packs)
True
KYOTO AND FLAKE ARE USED IN THE CHRISTMAS MASHUP PACK FOR CONSOLE ITS SO NOSTALGIC
thank you for this. My favorite out of every track is Taswell, 2nd is Intro.
Both flake and Kyoto are in the game, they are in the Christmas world in legacy edition
Flake and kyoto were both used in the festive mashup pack.
Everybody's just talking about the songs, but can we talk about that final jump-boost endstone-fireball into victory play? That was epic.
Flake was actually used in the console versions it was in the Christmas mesh-up pack
As a lot of other people have already said, these are mostly songs that weren't intended to be added in Minecraft in the first place. The 2 Soundtrack Albums are more than just a compilation of all the songs that play in the game, they are unique experiences and the tracks flow perfectly together to make it a proper album. There's bonus songs so there would be more of a reason to listen to the album version instead of in-game. I'll try to give my thoughts/explanations on the tracks, though I've not listened to Volume Beta in a long while, so idk if I can say much about them.
Door: Key and Door are meant to work as the opening of Volume Alpha. It's not included in the game not only because it wouldn't fit that well but because it's meant to be the album opener.
Death: Interlude track to give more life to the album. Again, not targeted as a track for the game. Silverfish didn't exist at the time though, that's why you can't hear them, it's a lie.
Dog: It was meant to be an album exclusive and just a continuation of Cat.
Droopy Likes Ricochet/Droopy Likes Your Face: They're not supposed to be in the game and probably wouldn't be in the album either. The reason they were included is because they were used for a Minecraft trailer and C418 decided to associate them with it I guess. But both of these are songs originally found on an older C418 album, Life Changing Moments Seem Minor in Pictures. This album also contains an acid remix of Minecraft's title track. The vocals are from some sample pack library, apparently Daniel doesn't even know what they say. Droopy makes another appearance on another album 148, in the track Droopy Remembers, there are also some Minecraft remixes on the album as well: Dreiton gets Vierton (Dreiton also has a predecessor on an even older and more obscure C418 release, Zweitonegoismus, as Zweiton. Also, Zwei is Two, Drei is Three, and Vier is Four, in German), Aria Math gets Aria Economy, Biome Fest gets Biome Party and Alpha gets Beta. To my eyes, Droopy is like the C418 mascot, idk what he'd look like though.
Ki: Connects the two albums together since it obviously refers back to Key, so both albums open similarly.
I ignored the rest because there wasn't much to say.
Instead, based on the mentions of references to other electronic artists Daniel admires, I'll add that Living Mice is a reference to Deadmau5, however it's there because originally the Minecraft Soundtrack was planned to be composed as a collaboration between the two. There are a few tracks they've still made for the game that you can find online or on some old archival releases of C418 like 7 Years of Server Data.
I'd also like to encourage anyone who hasn't listened to the album versions of the soundtrack to do that, but also please, check out the rest of the stuff Daniel has made, they're criminally underrated. For something that sounds kind of like Minecraft perhaps I'd recommend one, which is actually a soundtrack for some Minecraft/Mojang Documentary. For more ambient leaning stuff, Dief is short and sweet, if great beats is what you want 72 Minutes of Fame and 148 are great for that (also 72MOF has a "B-Sides" album, called "I forgot something, didn't I?" which is also great), there's also Life Changing Moments Seem Minor in Pictures which while it does have some house/breakbeat songs along with the more typical ambient and chill C418 music, it feels like the most emotional one in his discography imo, it feels kind of personal to him from what I understood from it. If you think you really like his works and you're willing to dive into crazier more experimental stuff, I do suggest you to check out his older stuff, do note that it's a little harder to find them, they're not even on Spotify, also not all of them may be perfect, but if you're willing to understand that it's his older stuff, he was still learning, and accept them for what they are, I'm sure you'll enjoy a lot of it (Some highlights imo: Circle, I Forgot Something Didn't I, Sine, Mixes). I have willingly ignored something though: Excursions. It's currently his latest full length double LP and it is honestly one of the greatest albums I've ever listened to in my life. It's at least on par if not better than the Minecraft Soundtracks. Anyway, what I want to say is, please listen to the other stuff this guy has to offer, he is truly incredible, he has a really unique sound that you will not find anywhere else (which is why the modern Minecraft soundtracks doesn't really click the same, it just can't replace the C418 one -though they're still really good, just sometimes don't feel like they belong in the game) and I truly believe he's a genius as great as the electronic/ambient/IDM giants like Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada etc. Give this man more attention!
there are many, MANY unused soundtracks on the previews of upcoming soundtracks
We need the mod that will Restore The Old music
It’s neat that the albums have exclusive tracks. However, with these and the three C418 tracks playing so rarely only in ocean biomes, supposedly underwater (I remember hearing them above water when they were new in 2018 but people say you have to be underwater for 5-10 minutes for them to play?…), and the frequency of the new non-C418 tracks I’ve experienced recently playing bedrock, I want to make a mod or something that gives every song an equal opportunity to play. And you could choose which songs you want to play or not. I don’t even dislike the new overworld songs, I just don’t want to hear mostly them bc then they get repetitive and I want to hear the classic tracks too.
fun fact Daniel Rosenfeld is german and "Ki" is german and just means "Künstliche intelligenz" or in english artificial intelligence/Ai.
woah woah woah, I remember beating the game and I could of sworn I heard Equinoxe in the background when reading the end credits. However the version was 1.12.2
Flake and Kyoto are both on festive mash up pack on legacy console edition
Wasn’t moog city in the legacy console version as a title screen track?
Door - unknown
Death - it didn’t fit
Moog city - I think because they thought moog city sounded better
Equinoxe - probably because it was too short
Chris -
Excuse - because c418 wanted to be exclusive to the album
Dog - because it sounded like cat
Beginning - I think because they thought beginning 2 sounded better
Droopy likes Ricochet - I think because it was heard in the trailer
Droopy likes your face - because it wasn’t intended to appear
Ki - because it wouldn’t make sense to be heard with key in the game
Flake - unknown
Kyoto -
Eleven - because of confusion with 11
Intro - probably because it wasn’t intended to appear
Some of these reasonings are completely false and just kinda nonsensical tbh.
Like Eleven being confused with 11 (huh?)
Equinox removed for being too short when there are multiple songs that are shorter than this song, like Oxygene or Key (both of which are used)
Ki not being added because of Key (even tho both are made for different reasons, with Ki being an intro for entering the Nether)... Why would they not add music just because it has similar name when you can't even see the name of Minecraft's music in-game
@@user-tzzglsstle585e38 some of what I said isn’t true

Dog is a console edition exclusive. No, not the bedrock edition, the console edition. It plays after cat
Edit 1: Flake plays in the Festive Mashup Pack world in the Console Edition. 4J Studios made it fit really well lol
Edit 2: I can see why 4J Studios put non ingame Java Edition music in the Festive Mashup Pack music. Kyoto plays after Flake, i think
I never knew dog playing after cat on xbox was not supposed to happen. I have that old version still

1:50 I remember listening to volume alpha at night and shitting my pants when this one played, because of the sudden and loud chicken death sound.
I like Excuse. It reminds me a lot of alpha Minecraft when I play it.
I prefer C418s non Minecraft songs, hence why i like him as a musician. Ive listened to all his Free Albums, i have yet to listen to the Paid Ones
Excuse is amazing.
Were any of these songs planned to be heard or not?
some of them were only intended to be in the album and never in the game
