I love this tune, I LOVE Eydie the one person I wish had recorded this would have been Karen Carpenter. Close to you had been recorded three times before the Carpenters and had flopped Then Karen and Rich made it a number 1 hit, just imagine ...........

I agree, as soon as I heard it, Karen Carpenter. Miss Eydie had a incredible voice. RIP songbird.
