Well Hybe really don’t know how to make a good girlgroup. All of Hybe’s girlgroups lacks vocals. The best female vocalist in Hybe that is Yunjin is not good in singing pop songs. Yunjin suits ballads and opera, while Le Sserafim songs is the opposite of that. Hybe should really hire vocal trainers and as now their girl groups have the weakest vocalists in the industry. They also don’t have one proper female rapper. Le Sserafim are good dancers, but nowhere near the best dancers.

That's how harsh idol life is. You are expected to set an example and be perfect. 2nd generation idols has experienced far more brutal hate and criticisms. How much more of today's generation where there's a lot of competition. I just hope they can survive through it.
Lets be honest. HYBE doesn't really care what everyone thinks as long as the company is makes money. HYBE already knows how to work the KPOP system. AS long as K-netizen are happy with the looks of a group instead of the talent. They don't care. It's probably easier for HYBE to drop a group and create another one.

Everyone was worried that they might fumble their live performance in front of international audience. Its the company's fault for not noticing the criticism they got after the encore stages. All the criticism the girls are getting is completely justified and should not stop until they get better in the future. But the people who are leaving hate comments need to stop thats not justified.

The only thing I would correct is that the hate train started way before the Easy comback. People have been critizing their vocals ever since the encore stages for Unforgiven and it just kept growing with each new comeback.

This is just my opinion about this whole thing. I am not a hater whatsoever. About after the Coachella. Well as we all know they got criticism for the vocals during their Coachella performance. After that, Sakura posted a lengthy position about her opinion regarding the Coachella about "it is their best stage yet" or "Standards may vary depending on the person". And also Chaewon posted the story of Doja Cat flipping off, which eventually leading some people speculate that Chaewon is flipping off to the criticism. In my opinion, This doesn't sit well with a lot of people because I feel they did this at completely wrong time. With their lackluster vocal performance on encore nwo plus their poor live in Coachella, posting things like this makes it feel like in the eyes of netizens, it is almost like the group is in total denial about their poor performance and not self introspecting on how to get better in their vocal skills. With that being said. This does not mean Le Sserafim deserve death threats or even malicious hate comments. Nowadays, it seem that there is a very thin fine line between constructive criticism and pure hatred. Well, we as netizens should tell Le Sserafim what they did wrong and how to improve, not send them malicious hate and horrible posts. We are also responsible for the mental state of Le Sserafim . So overall, do I think Le Sserafim deserve constructive criticism, yes, especially to improve themselves. But do I feel they deserve malicious comments and hate, absolutely NOT! I really hope Le sserafim take this opportunity to learn and get better and introspect. Also we as netizens must be careful with out words.
It does seem like they’re not talking the criticism seriously with Sakura just posting about justifying there performance and Chaewon with the doja cat. Some people would definitely take it the wrong and make them looked entitled. It seems like bad PR, maybe they should have acknowledged the criticism, apologize or even say that they will aim to make their vocal better next time. I have seen comments about LE SSERAFIM’s Cocoachella as well as the Encore and it seems to be a big problem, worse than what one can imagine. When I showed my mom their vocals, both of us were very confused and shocked. It can't be denied that they need to have vocal training but there are more problems to them. Yes, they are talented, but based on their vocals, it is revealed that something wrong happened with the notes in their singing voice. I noticed that there was something unusual with this and HYBE really needs to pay attention to this issue because this will affect their real voice while talking in real life.
I agree completely, however, we are losing the definition of talent. Talent is the ability to sing with little to no training and still have stability, kinda like jungkook - maybe not to the same degree as him because hes like a jack 'n the box of talent, but you get the picture. Le sserafim are not vocally talented people, and thats fine, they have other abilities. But a key feature of kpop is singing. Most vocalists need to practice techniques consistently. Hell even a lot of western artists are not vocally talented naturally, but through effort and training, they sound incredible. Kpop examples of this are taemin, kai and jimin. (Not a fan of the artists I mentioned btw, just seen progressions)

Tbh when u see the documentary u know how some members were brought in at last moments just bcoz some other trainees didn't fit the concept & what was the rush. After min heejins allegations about debuting LF 1st than NJ is now looking true , they just wanted to churn out a GG at any cost. But now if u look at BM now u know how much effort YG put in debuting them & that quality definitely shows , they are definitely doing concerts now instead of performance. When u run behind money quality definitely takes a hit .
The hate train is unacceptable but some people have to realize that being an idol is like any regular job and not being able to do your job in the real world would get most if not all people fired . No hate on them, but they REALLY NEED MORE VOCAL LESSONS, EXERCISES AND PRACTICES. As a former choir student, our vocal teacher gave us vocal lessons and how to sing properly. He would choose the student/s who had stable voice/s to be part of the choir, I was part of it and we practiced more than 2 months before performing school events (we even practiced more than 6 months before our school’s Christmas performance). If he noticed that one student had an off key tune, we would repeat the song until our voices were blended together perfectly. If my vocal teacher heard their off key voice, he would be so disappointed. If HYBE wanted to debut a girl group, they should’ve given the girl group A LOT OF PREPARATION (like more than a year of talent developments and practices such as vocals, rap and dance) before debut, or wait until all of them are 18+ and ready to debut. I don’t know what are HYBE’s current objectives? Are they more on visuals nowadays? Do they prefer debuting underage idols?
They truly are a pretty talented with 2 izone members, an opera singer, ballet dancer and dancer but they were not ready for coachella yet, dont get me wrong, they all are very good performers but they seriously need vocal training.

as someone who had contributed to their critcsm on the day of coachella (not hate, just critiscm), i feel like le sserafim are just being treated as the haters punching bag. I loved their song 'anti fragile, unforgiven, and smart' but agreed with most concerns like outfits, dances and choreography the one to blame in ALL of this, is Hybe. As an army, who saw how bts took their time to grow, hybe failed all their girl groups SO BADLY. Badly managed, not enough training time, too hard choreographies for a group that debuted less than a year ago, completely mistreating NJs, rushing debuts like for le sserafim and illit, then giving one of the best stages in the world to a group that obv needs more training. they're not bad singers, they're bad becz they didnt get FULL training as they were supposed to. It aint the girls fault hybe is greedy. ngl, illit was a major disappointment for me. not the girls or the group but how hybe thought they could manage 3 girl groups as well as others. Aespa debuted during the pandemic when everything was falling apart aka not the right time but as time passes people realize they're talented. Giselle with the shortest training time was criticized for not being able to dance well but now she's doing well and receives lots of compliment. if Le Sserafim pay more attention to vocal training and song selection , they too will receive recognition.

Okay, so a few things: people AT Coachella aren’t thinking about vocals when they’re at a show. They’re drinking, smoking, and having fun. It’s the people on the internet who not only can watch the show live, but also can rewind with a more critical eye. And also most people in the audience aren’t aware of the other things going on. To a kpop stan who pays attention, they’re aware of the encore stages and this is just another thing on a pile of other things. Obviously, this isn’t a reason to send hate or to threaten the girls. It probably doesn’t help that they’re caught up in the hybe mess and the on going discussion of HYBE’s take on vocal training (they don’t do them - that’s it. If you want vocal training as a hybe idol or trainee, you’re responsible for them. Even groups with 10+ years under them have talked about STILL working with a vocal coach.) The religious imagery stuff is… is a theme. As long as they aren’t pushing a religion on you, then what’s the issue (except for the fact that in SK, they have issues with Christian cults, so maybe that’s where it comes from). Anyway, most the people I know have brought up valid points and have criticized without going overboard, but I have a habit of blocking toxic people to keep my online space quiet. So I know I’m not seeing the worst of it.

I stan both Aespa and Le sserafim. Love A for their unique songs and vocals while Love LSF for their dance and choreography. Giselle too was criticized for dancing but she has improved a lot. We all know LSF songs are autotuned a lot and how their live singing is. maybe they need sometime to improve their vocals and be careful in song selection. but why is there so much hate like they're criminals forcing you to buy their album?

I don't understand why people focus on them when they should just be promoting the groups they like. There are some groups I'm not a fan of, you'll never see me in the comments throwing shade at them, just waiting to find fault to attack them. It's just sad to see people's bitterness turn into pure hatred for these happy, talented girls... Lesserafim may not be the best vocal group, but they're incredible in every other way. They're one of the best performers I've ever seen, they always do their best and I think they absolutely deserve their success. They're not the first group to have vocal shortcomings and they have great singers. I don't accept people saying that Yunjin and Chaewon can't sing. And Eunchae, Kazuha and Sakura may not be as good, but they're not disastrous. As a fan of them, I don't just jump on the hate train and react to the bad buzz like the haters do. It only takes a few clicks to see their good side. Please, if you don't know them, think before you comment, everyone makes mistakes and while I agree they've been wrong sometimes, they're almost always wonderful and they're very hard working girls. I remember less than a year ago people were praising them for being so good while performing the way they do. And I was one of them. They have most of the hardest choreography of the gg's, so it's not fair to compare them to other gg's who sing better with easier dances. What's more, these girls often sing live and people act as if they're the only group to use backtrack, it's insane.... I don't know many groups that sing ENTIRELY live without backtrack. Lesserafim rightly use it and they sing live over it. It's true they have flaws and shortcomings in certain aspects, but the only reason they are one of the most hated groups is because they are one of the most loved and successful groups. We've seen the same patterns in all the biggest groups, and it's certainly not going to stop now... But at the end of the day, the statistics show, they are not affected by the hate train, they remain the biggest group of the moment. Sserafim will prevail!
You should get off with kpop and discover some pop music in different countries, you'd be surprise how many of them can sing live and with minimal to no backtrack. I feel the current K-pop girl group (fandom) climate and landscape is much, much more cutthroat than before in terms of the fight for centre spotlight and being the current "it group"; with a girl group rising to the top and taking centrestage only to quickly be dragged down by a slew of "scandals" - many of which come across as either ridiculous or netting a disproportionate response from netizens and/or the general public - only to be replaced by a new girl group, that in turn quickly gets dragged down and the cycle continues.

Previous years, the top was pretty much just shared between the same three girl groups from the Big Three companies; where as this past year or so (pretty much since FIFTY FIFTY), it's more like an constantly changing cast of girl groups, one after another, due to the last one being ripped down by purported (often somewhat forced) scandals.

The music in K-pop has not been original from the beginning, so if Hybe chases trends, I think it's totally fine, and absolutely no problem when the song actually sounds great.

From what I've been seeing, not just with Le Sserafim but with every group/celebrity that has experienced a hate train. It absolutely appears like there's someone behind all of it who's in control. Like it's so unnatural the way all of these hate comments just floods the internet. It's like you have all these people just waiting around all day for any Le Sserafim content to spead their hate and toxicity. Why would someone spend so much time and energy just to spread hate on a group. That's just not normal. The only thing that would make more sense is if you have a company who hires a bunch of people to specifically do this task. They provide each person with a bunch of accounts that they can use to post these toxic comments. The problem is that they were asked to get vocal training for a while now, and never properly received it. If this continues, they will have bad vocals and keep getting dragged for it. As time goes on the "hate" will get worse. I wish the members would put as much work into their vocal training, the same way they put into their famous exercise training. No improvement without training - even if you pay a vocal trainer from your own wallet.
Who the hell are you guys to demand the that they will take vocal lessons? If you don't like them don't be a fan of the group. Don't try to ruin someone's career just because you think they're not good at it. What gives you the right to demand things from them?? and sometimes, sometimes you can take 100 vocal lessons and still not be a good vocalist. I was never into lessarafim until coachella pop out. Because of the hate they were getting I started to empathise them. Criticism is okay but hate is something that I don’t feel entertained. Nothing was wrong with their performance at coachella and i really enjoyed their performances. The amount of hate that they were receiving made me started to like them even though I’m not a fan of them. People started to compare them with the newest group. I don’t want to mention the name of the group, but bcs of their negativity toxicity fans I started to dislike that group. I used to like that group but after this hate and criticism towards such a hardworking group I just felt empty towards that group and I know many people feel the same.

The thing about idols and this is the truth.1st and 2nd generations are far more brutal than today's generations. Before, Idols interaction with other idols creates a scandals. 2nd Generation Idols were being trained for years before debuting because they are expected to give a perfect performance. Lip-synching is a big No-no. Plagiarism is so strict that even a slightest similarities will receive a lot of backlash. To sum it up, Idols are expected to be perfect in peoples eyes. You have to have a clean background. They are influential. They are trendsetters. So every move must be calculated and carefully planned. As a 2nd generation fan, today's generation of idols were given a lot of leeway and considerations. My suggestions to those idols who have been criticize for their talents is be on hiatus, train and practice a lot. And surprise us with a great improvement. Because no matter how much hate they receive as long as they back it up with performance. Those hate will turn to love.
As someone who was harshly hated and wrongly criticized in the past, the HARSH and UNCALLED FOR hate and mistreatment towrds our AMAZING 5 girls has made me mad but also very empathetic for the girls. I hate to see this in kpop these days! I hope that the hate towrds kpop groups ( even le serafim ), kpop soloist and everybody STOPS.

Well Hybe really don’t know how to make a good girlgroup. All of Hybe’s girlgroups lacks vocals. The best female vocalist in Hybe that is Yunjin is not good in singing pop songs. Yunjin suits ballads and opera, while Le Sserafim songs is the opposite of that. Hybe should really hire vocal trainers and as now their girl groups have the weakest vocalists in the industry. They also don’t have one proper female rapper. Le Sserafim are good dancers, but nowhere near the best dancers.

Everyone was worried that they might fumble their live performance in front of international audience. Its the company's fault for not noticing the criticism they got after the encore stages. This is just my opinion about this whole thing. I am not a hater whatsoever.
About after the Coachella. Well as we all know they got criticism for the vocals during their Coachella performance. After that, Sakura posted a lengthy position about her opinion regarding the Coachella about "it is their best stage yet" or "Standards may vary depending on the person". And also Chaewon posted the story of Doja Cat flipping off, which eventually leading some people speculate that Chaewon is flipping off to the criticism.
In my opinion, This doesn't sit well with a lot of people because I feel they did this at completely wrong time. With their lackluster vocal performance on encore nwo plus their poor live in Coachella, posting things like this makes it feel like in the eyes of netizens, it is almost like the group is in total denial about their poor performance and not self introspecting on how to get better in their vocal skills.
With that being said. This does not mean Le Sserafim deserve death threats or even malicious hate comments. Nowadays, it seem that there is a very thin fine line between constructive criticism and pure hatred. Well, we as netizens should tell Le Sserafim what they did wrong and how to improve, not send them malicious hate and horrible posts. We are also responsible for the mental state of Le Sserafim .
So overall, do I think Le Sserafim deserve constructive criticism, yes, especially to improve themselves. But do I feel they deserve malicious comments and hate, absolutely NOT!

I have seen comments about LE SSERAFIM’s Cocoachella as well as the Encore and it seems to be a big problem, worse than what one can imagine. When I showed my mom their vocals, both of us were very confused and shocked. It can't be denied that they need to have vocal training but there are more problems to them. Yes, they are talented, but based on their vocals, it is revealed that something wrong happened with the notes in their singing voice. I noticed that there was something unusual with this and HYBE really needs to pay attention to this issue because this will affect their real voice while talking in real life.
I agree completely, however, we are losing the definition of talent. Talent is the ability to sing with little to no training and still have stability, kinda like jungkook - maybe not to the same degree as him because hes like a jack 'n the box of talent, but you get the picture. Le sserafim are not vocally talented people, and thats fine, they have other abilities. But a key feature of kpop is singing. Most vocalists need to practice techniques consistently. Hell even a lot of western artists are not vocally talented naturally, but through effort and training, they sound incredible. Kpop examples of this are taemin, kai and jimin.
(Not a fan of the artists I mentioned btw, just seen progressions)

No hate on them, but they REALLY NEED MORE VOCAL LESSONS, EXERCISES AND PRACTICES. As a former choir student, our vocal teacher gave us vocal lessons and how to sing properly. He would choose the student/s who had stable voice/s to be part of the choir, I was part of it and we practiced more than 2 months before performing school events (we even practiced more than 6 months before our school’s Christmas performance). If he noticed that one student had an off key tune, we would repeat the song until our voices were blended together perfectly. If my vocal teacher heard their off key voice, he would be so disappointed.
If HYBE wanted to debut a girl group, they should’ve given the girl group A LOT OF PREPARATION (like more than a year of talent developments and practices such as vocals, rap and dance) before debut, or wait until all of them are 18+ and ready to debut. I don’t know what are HYBE’s current objectives? Are they more on visuals nowadays? Do they prefer debuting underage idols?

Badly managed, not enough training time, too hard choreographies for a group that debuted less than a year ago, completely mistreating NJs, rushing debuts like for le sserafim and illit, then giving one of the best stages in the world to a group that obv needs more training. they're not bad singers, they're bad becz they didnt get FULL training as they were supposed to.

Aespa debuted during the pandemic when everything was falling apart aka not the right time but as time passes people realize they're talented. Giselle with the shortest training time was criticized for not being able to dance well but now she's doing well and receives lots of compliment. if Le Sserafim pay more attention to vocal training and song selection , they too will receive recognition.

Okay, so a few things: people AT Coachella aren’t thinking about vocals when they’re at a show. They’re drinking, smoking, and having fun. It’s the people on the internet who not only can watch the show live, but also can rewind with a more critical eye. And also most people in the audience aren’t aware of the other things going on. To a kpop stan who pays attention, they’re aware of the encore stages and this is just another thing on a pile of other things. Obviously, this isn’t a reason to send hate or to threaten the girls.
It probably doesn’t help that they’re caught up in the hybe mess and the on going discussion of HYBE’s take on vocal training (they don’t do them - that’s it. If you want vocal training as a hybe idol or trainee, you’re responsible for them. Even groups with 10+ years under them have talked about STILL working with a vocal coach.)
The religious imagery stuff is… is a theme. As long as they aren’t pushing a religion on you, then what’s the issue (except for the fact that in SK, they have issues with Christian cults, so maybe that’s where it comes from).
Anyway, most the people I know have brought up valid points and have criticized without going overboard, but I have a habit of blocking toxic people to keep my online space quiet. So I know I’m not seeing the worst of it.

Lesserafim may not be the best vocal group, but they're incredible in every other way. They're one of the best performers I've ever seen, they always do their best and I think they absolutely deserve their success.
They're not the first group to have vocal shortcomings and they have great singers. I don't accept people saying that Yunjin and Chaewon can't sing. And Eunchae, Kazuha and Sakura may not be as good, but they're not disastrous. As a fan of them, I don't just jump on the hate train and react to the bad buzz like the haters do. It only takes a few clicks to see their good side. Please, if you don't know them, think before you comment, everyone makes mistakes and while I agree they've been wrong sometimes, they're almost always wonderful and they're very hard working girls.
I remember less than a year ago people were praising them for being so good while performing the way they do. And I was one of them. They have most of the hardest choreography of the gg's, so it's not fair to compare them to other gg's who sing better with easier dances.
What's more, these girls often sing live and people act as if they're the only group to use backtrack, it's insane....
I don't know many groups that sing ENTIRELY live without backtrack. Lesserafim rightly use it and they sing live over it.
It's true they have flaws and shortcomings in certain aspects, but the only reason they are one of the most hated groups is because they are one of the most loved and successful groups. We've seen the same patterns in all the biggest groups, and it's certainly not going to stop now...
But at the end of the day, the statistics show, they are not affected by the hate train, they remain the biggest group of the moment.

I feel the current K-pop girl group (fandom) climate and landscape is much, much more cutthroat than before in terms of the fight for centre spotlight and being the current "it group"; with a girl group rising to the top and taking centrestage only to quickly be dragged down by a slew of "scandals" - many of which come across as either ridiculous or netting a disproportionate response from netizens and/or the general public - only to be replaced by a new girl group, that in turn quickly gets dragged down and the cycle continues.

In my opinion hybe should stop including Christianity, cult, dark, goth, vampire themes. everything they do is coming under christian mockery almost in every hybe mv. From what I've been seeing, not just with Le Sserafim but with every group/celebrity that has experienced a hate train. It absolutely appears like there's someone behind all of it who's in control. Like it's so unnatural the way all of these hate comments just floods the internet. It's like you have all these people just waiting around all day for any Le Sserafim content to spead their hate and toxicity. Why would someone spend so much time and energy just to spread hate on a group. That's just not normal. The only thing that would make more sense is if you have a company who hires a bunch of people to specifically do this task. They provide each person with a bunch of accounts that they can use to post these toxic comments. And these companies are hired just like a BPO company by people who wants to manipulate public opinion and has the financial means and influence to do so.

The problem is that they were asked to get vocal training for a while now, and never properly received it. If this continues, they will have bad vocals and keep getting dragged for it. As time goes on the "hate" will get worse. I wish the members would put as much work into their vocal training, the same way they put into their famous exercise training. No improvement without training - even if you pay a vocal trainer from your own wallet.

I was never into lessarafim until coachella pop out. Because of the hate they were getting I started to empathise them. Criticism is okay but hate is something that I don’t feel entertained.
Nothing was wrong with their performance at coachella and i really enjoyed their performances. The amount of hate that they were receiving made me started to like them even though I’m not a fan of them. People started to compare them with the newest group. I don’t want to mention the name of the group, but bcs of their negativity toxicity fans I started to dislike that group. I used to like that group but after this hate and criticism towards such a hardworking group I just felt empty towards that group and I know many people feel the same.

To be fair, the last time they stood on stage, it was also an unforgettable experience.
The thing about idols and this is the truth.1st and 2nd generations are far more brutal than today's generations. Before, Idols interaction with other idols creates a scandals. 2nd Generation Idols were being trained for years before debuting because they are expected to give a perfect performance. Lip-synching is a big No-no. Plagiarism is so strict that even a slightest similarities will receive a lot of backlash.
To sum it up, Idols are expected to be perfect in peoples eyes. You have to have a clean background. They are influential. They are trendsetters. So every move must be calculated and carefully planned.
As a 2nd generation fan, today's generation of idols were given a lot of leeway and considerations.
My suggestions to those idols who have been criticize for their talents is be on hiatus, train and practice a lot. And surprise us with a great improvement. Because no matter how much hate they receive as long as they back it up with performance. Those hate will turn to love.

As someone who was harshly hated and wrongly criticized in the past, the HARSH and UNCALLED FOR hate and mistreatment towrds our AMAZING 5 girls has made me mad but also very empathetic for the girls. I hate to see this in kpop these days! I hope that the hate towrds kpop groups ( even le serafim ), kpop soloist and everybody STOPS.

The company knows that most of Lesserafim members isn't good yet at live vocal but they choose to ignore and taking the risk to send them to Coachella.. I feel bad not only just for the girls, but also for the other groups in the company cause their haters are taking chance to drag them down with all of the scandal happening in HYBE now..

The criticism is valid but i think the k public turned against them once they saw the girls attitude towards the criticism. They all acted like they are above any criticism. Sakura’s response was the most tame one but chae posting that middle finger post was the nail in the coffin for k-netz
I love them and as someone who was at their Coachella weekend 1 performance I can say I love them even more. I was so star struck and excited when I saw them in person and they put on such a great show.

This is what happened with lesserafim, they sing badly , they get criticism, they still sing bad , they get more criticism, they still don't improve, they get more criticism for their vocals and hate for their attitude, then the girls still sound worse than they ever did even the average memebers (chaewon yujin) and they had the nerves to be proud of themselves and not giving a single f..k about critics even coming from their fan ,... consequences, they get more hate than critics now .
I agree chaewon and yunjin's overconfidence "i wanna change the idol industry" brings more hate. Even top group like Bts and Blackpink dont have this much overconfidence
