Two families, one from Queensland, Australia and the other from Invercargill, New Zealand, discuss their spouses improvements following treatment within the past week at the Institute of Neurological Recovery® in Boca Raton, 5 years and 3 years after stroke, respectively. Begins with husband discussing his wife Katie's improvements following treatment, and the reduced caregiver burden. Please be advised that individual results vary and some patients do not respond to treatment.
Chronic neurological dysfunction produced by stroke and traumatic brain injury has long been thought to be irreversible. A new scientific discovery by the INR®, as documented in this video, now promises to change current thinking about the potential for recovery of function, even years after the acute event.
