LOL I was just writing a comment about how I think medieval era settings are way over done. I'm glad you and other people enjoy it. It's not interesting to me. There isn't any interesting technology or philosophy. It's just royal people doing greedy shit while the poors suffer.
I am beyond excited, it runs ok on my PC but I truly wish the optimization was better than it is. My PC isn't the greatest but I do need aggressive FSR to go into the 60s with a R5 5600 and an RX 6600.
@@bigmac371 Yeah and if the game was visually stunning fine, but I dont think it looks that amazing. Granted it could just be that I dont find the more realistic art direction that visually appealing.
I'm running a 4080 GPU and it's getting me 4K 120 fps. The frame rate drops sometimes but it never sinks that low. In fact if you watch my playthrough on UA-cam, you won't notice any frame drops since UA-cam caps videos at 60 fps and even in the worst case scenario my frame rate was still in the 90s...(Most of the time it was solid between around 110 with more action heavy scenes hitting low 100. But I only ever noticed drops when it went to 90 from 110 in brief, very rare moments. And that FFXVIFIX mod has gotten rid of a lot of those (It's worth it to uncap the cutscenes because if you're playing 60 fps or higher the 30 fps cutscenes suck so I recommend that mod and somehow it actually helped reduce the frame drop amount too (I don't have sudden dips in the 80s anymore...)
@@FahadGG1 Thanks for this, majority of people bashing it saying the opening section was great but that it fizzled out from there. I am yet to try it out. Hopefully in 2 days after it releases.
You should play FF14 - it can be played like a solo game from start to finish if you only want to interact with the main story and honestly even the side stuff is easy to que in with randos. Do NOT pass upon it because it is an MMO, Shadowbringers and Endwalker are 2 of the best Final Fantasy stories that I've ever experienced (and I am a tenured veteran of the franchise, been playing since I was like 7).

So...I'm not that savvy when it comes to tech talk?? Will this work on a Mac M1-Sonoma?? I really need to know, I have a PS5 Controller, and I'm able to play BG3 & FFXIV on my Mac, so ...is it worth trying to buy this on Steam???

@@markbrock7996 if its your first time playing ff16, ps5 is the way to go! you get to take in the epic scenes without performance issues. ive played it on ps5 already, but want it portably on my Ally. after playing 7 hours of full game on Ally, definitely some intense cutscenes stutter bad, and one of the open areas im at the frames dip a lot. i try and play on performance mode mostly, but in those more intense areas/cutscenes i use turbo mode. it helps, but still not perfect. ive also noticed Legacy option works best for Super Resolution setting in terms of performance, but in some areas, the textures flicker in cutscenes and ive had to change to AMD FSR 3, and it stops the weird texture issue. but AMD FAR 3 seems harder on performance so i have to turn turbo on to accommodate. i still feel the game is playable on Ally and im loving it, but you might have to change settings back and forth as you play, and that can be distracting lol. hope this helps some

I bought this NOT because of you video, but because of the Demo. I subbed because of your video. Great Video! thanks for making it.
Is it really not playable on a handheld? With RSR I figured those min spec requirements could at least net you 25-30fps on a ROG ALLY or Legion Go?

One of my favorite games in the series for sure. Great video!
