Having seen her as Donna and as Miranda Priestly (The Devil Wears Prada), she's good at both ends of the spectrum, from icy stillness to jubilant dance. The "Dancing Queen" scene alone deserves an Oscar nod or two, as that scene summed up the movie's themes - light, bright, cheerful, dance, and plain old fun. It's great that she had a personal connection as well, I think that knowing what the music could do helped the movie be even greater.
I'm 18 and I lovee Meryl :-D and... I've seen Mamma Mia! 7 times in 2 days!!

I'm so annoyed that I diddn't watched it in the theatre. But I bought the DVD 2 days ago.
And Meryl Streep is a wonderful actress. She became my favourite actress in the last week. She and Nicole Kidman are my absolutely faves. I love and adore them.

I'm 15 and black I know what u mean my friends are the same way but I don't care she is amazing and I love her! Ive seen mamma mia about 5 times and certain scenes 15 x's LOL! She is soo great and so funni and amazing in any role she does=} I am forever obsessed with Meryl I hope u guys dont think its weird.lol
I'm 14 too! and ever since this movie came out i've been crazy about her ! like i can imagine you guys are and it's great to hear that there are others ant my age feeling the same way! until now i thout i was all alone so it's great !! :]
she's also really exquisite in the Deer Hunter and Marvin's Room and Death Becomes Her...and others as well...she's a classic actress

haha I've watched Mamma Mia not that many times, but i'm getting there! I've watched it in french with spanish subtitles and all the songs are in english, AWESOME!

she did a play in the late 80's early 90's i cant remember! called 'alice at the palace' but it was part of a series of concerts so it was known as 'alice in concert'!
