- The Grounded team is pleased to present the next update to Grounded with a new experience called Playgrounds. This new mode allows you to create, share, and play an endless amount of new content where only your imagination is the limit.
That’s not all, this update adds many quality-of-life changes, 40+ new building pieces, a revamped BURG.L quest system, and even a way to throw some hoops with the all-new basketball item. But first, let’s dive into Playgrounds… a new way to play and experience Grounded! - Ігри

@@DarthFr0gg I seen leaks, NEW leaks not the old hamster cage and stuff in the shed. They are very likely going into that shed. The house would be very hard to pull off though. If they could pull it off though would be insane.
This just opened up SO much potential for Grounded. One of the greatest updates to a game I've ever seen, no lie.

The fact that the dev team is setting up custom map making built into the game for the longevity and health of not only the game but the community is awesome!

Grounded is proof that you don't need a massive team to make a great game. In fact, I think smaller teams are more efficient and more creative. This game is so good.
Yeah it seems the bigger team games come out way shittier and it’s sad tbh… you’d think they’d be better but it’s not.
Only Obsidian could go head first into doing a game genre they have no experience in and come out with a actually decent game.

What about Horizon Zero Dawn though. I personally didn't like it (maybe I need to play it more) but they stepped into a genre where they had 0 experience (since they only made Killzone first person and top down third person before) and came out with a good game. Still is impressive here but Guerrilla might also be the same in that way
@StealthyZombie Grounded is an action-adventure survival game at best not an rpg. You just go around acting smug whether or not you actually know what you're talking about, huh?
Early on I always talked about how this game could go the route of minecraft. Feel like we are slowly heading this, and I'm loving it. Amazing game. But as more of this sandbox/forge-esque stuff is being added, I'm looking forward to seeing where this game is 5/10 years from now.
Would mainly love to see more "mod" friendly stuff. Mainly cause I'd love to dabble with adding rideable insects, or my dream of having a turtle in the pond that I can build a fort on their back, going further with fighting off waves as the turtle travels to other yards in the block.
Give us the tools. Make sure they are good tools. Give us the freedom, and we can take it from there.
Sadly I don't think the game will last 5/10 years... I would be surprised if there is update during the 3 next years... But I HOPE !!!
Mod support would be insane. One of my (and many others) biggest complaint about the game is that there's not much replayability. Everything is always in the same spot, every time, and the tasks are always the same. You can try a different weapon, but you could just do that in your one "main" playthrough too (and there's also not a lot of variability in how "builds" affect your overall playstyle, either).
With the right tools, the sky is truly the limit with modding. Custom weapons, armor, bosses, common bugs, and even yards would keep the game fresh and allow the game to continue having longevity even after the devs inevitably stop updating it.

I love when devs acknowledge the creativity of thier community and share the tools to craft thier own experience.
This dev team is one of the few that actually knows whats up.
Grounded is an excellent game, it deserves a 10/10, A+, my first game

Nice to see this still getting support. Hadn't played since I beat the game at 1.0 but Playgrounds seem like a way to get me back if the community makes some cool stuff to sample.
When you guys first started doing a survival game I felt a little iffy since it was an area they didn't really have experience with but I have been surprised so much by this game. By 1.0 I already felt like it was one of the best survival games out there and it feels like with each update you keep managing to make it better and better. I love how much you are listening to the fans too and it feels like pretty much every little thing that frustrates me at times in survival game you have taken into account and worked on improving it.
Just logged in on Xbox Game Pass and learned of this update! I just started playing a week ago and this game is amazing. Screw game pass, I just bought it on Steam to support further development.
Keeps your saves safe too, Microsoft make it impossible because of their coded files.
I did not play grounded since about a year but im shure in a few months me and my friend will start playing again. This content looks great and im shure i missing mutch in the past months.
Still love the game and it will always have a place in my heart and i hope you dont stop now and support this game many more years and make it on of the greatest survival games of all time.

This game has exploded since day one release. I played it when they just released an early access and had fun. Then I set it down for a while and just recently got back. It's mind-blowing how much it's changed. Keep the good stuff coming. Split screen would be awesome, I can have my grandson play with me.
By far one of the best games I ever played co op with a friend. So glad with another amazing update. Keep it up!

Not only a Creative/Forge type sandbox community building, but also SO many amazing QoL improvements too, like a quest system update, tufts not taking up trinket slots (unless using the infinite use one, which is now actually infinite lol), new builds, quicker attacking, new basic trinkets, new basic healing potion, and one of the biggest things for me who's nearly 100% the game except for getting all teeth and stuff: Collectibles MARKED ON THE MAP FOR EASY COLLECTING WITH GUIDES. That was about the only thing left me and my friend had to do other than beat the Infected Broodmother, just collecting all the teeth and raw science around the world, so now that won't be as insanely hard anymore. Thank you Obsidian, for consistently improving your game
Love when developers actually continue to produce solid and amazing content, me and my friends tried it when it was free to play, deciding to buy it right after the session. With all the adjustments you can make it really opens up the game to everyone at any skill level

Once again obsidian are being one of the best game devs on the planet. I love the transparency and update videos. Plus you just add so many features I didn't know I needed that are QoL which most other devs are too lazy to implement. Obsidian are up with coffee stain studios for S-tiered Devs

The updates are always really nice and game improved so much throughout the time. One of my favorite games! The only thing I wish for is you could play with more than 4 friends. Would be nice to host a party of at least 10 people or more, like in pvp type games. I hope this would be possible at some point in time. Thank you for a great game! ^^

Last winter this game consumed my gaming groups and family. I can't wait for another winter season of backyard shinanigans!
This game has come so far since early access. Its a ton of fun and really enjoying my time with it.

I think this idea for the game is perfect! But as of release of this update you can't make things like pools of water or your own trees in your custom back yard but at the moment your own custom koi pond isn't possible and making trees will take you huge amounts time working on it, with the time and practice of the people making things with this update many will learn how to make incredible custom backyards and that would be amazing for the community, and with time this system will probably get bigger and better giving even more possibility.

W Obsidian Entertainment, one of my favorite games just got better! I was reading through the patch notes as well… should be fun! Now not only can I get some more achievements easily, I can truly grind for that Raw Science.
I actually love the obsidian team, every update they put out has loads of new content, they update fairly regularly and you guys love the fans, I don't know many devs these days who actually listen to their fanbase

Omg this is insane. I cant imagine how the community will make this game now ! I hope you will add a weather system. I mean random raining - storm - sun first and why not seasons with snow or some leafs and special items and conditions.... Thanks a lot for this game

this update is incredible - fantastic work team! can't wait to see what is in store for this game! add a DLC to go in the house, you can add all new items/buildables/crafting materials/bugs/animals and keep going!

Cant believe how amazing this game is
Seriously one of the greatest survival craft games out there.
Some things we can add to the game:
1. Roll/Dodge Mechanic
2. More robust pet system like intimacy where you can have more interactions with your pet to make worthwhile and maybe they can help during combat too by making sounds when enemy is about to attack and also, more rare pets like scarabs and maybe even a orb weaver jr would be dope!
3. A more robust transport system for high tier creatures, like taming a moth and making it live in your base and then when you need a transport you can ride on her back and drop you there and see her return back to your base. I feel like they are a beauty and would be a waste if we can't see her living on our base. Oh and I like Black Ox Beetles too!

without a doubt grounded and one of the best survival/RPG survival games I've ever played, and also one of the best online games today, really an incredible game, and there's a lot of dedication and care in its development, congratulations obsidian for making this addictive game which many love.

Just started a new game. I already loved this game before, but I can already tell it's a lot better now. The only thing that seems weird is how the running is toggled. I seem to be always running when I'm not even trying to run, and my stamina gets drained quickly. It's almost like running is the default and I have to push the stick to walk (opposite of normal)
I think you may have hit the auto run feature.. Running is not toggled by default, check your settings just incase
