Maybe you could someday do every room is a different emotion? Then you can finally use those Sims 4 items that impact your sim's emotion, plus make the room in the colour the emotion is on you Sim screen!
God, how I miss that every single time I open TS4! The customisation meant I was never stuck or bored, and I made much better interiors than TS4 ever allowed
okay so maybe the vampire and fairy that live here are trying to cover up that theyre not human by decorating their house "human like" but theyre just a little bit off with it (fake fridge and stove, no shower, etc)
Not every pack in The Sims 3 added floors and wallpapers because EVERY pack added new patterns so you could make your own. They only added floor and wallpapers when they needed a new design that wasn't possible to achieve with patterns.
The Sims 3 didn't really have to add a lot of new floors (especially closer to the end of the game's life span), as you could really make so much floorings with CASt. I assume it'd be actually challenging to come up with something new
into the future does have wallpapers, but for whatever reason they don't show up in the catalog. i've always had to go through the portal and save them custom right off the Community Center (Base Camp) upon arriving in Oasis Landing.
The reason why there aren't as many wallpapers and flooring is create a style. Devs often modified the pattern and color of the base game object for the worlds they created.
I think the one exception to this challenge would be to allow base game items in a room if the pack that gets picked doesn't have essential items for a fictional house, like just placing a base game fridge stove etc to make it fictional

Plumbella! The colorful tree from Island paradise pack, also shown at 3:34 of the video, is a REAL LIFE TREE CALLED THE RAINBOW TREE! its from somewhere in South America and can only grow in tropical environments of course. When its bark sheds from the tree it reveals peels of different colors. It is a beautiful sight to behold. I FREAKED OUT when I saw it! I would have used it NO MATTER WHAT! LOL xD

I'm not sure if I'm completely making this up but I thought touching your head for touch wood is like saying your heads empty. Like knocking on wood makes a hollow sound so you knock on your head also for a hollow sound so it's like you've got nothing in there.

Now he spends his days saving supernatural sims and letting them temporarily stay in his fake home until he says it’s safe to move them to permanent refuge.

I love build mode in sims3, but I admit it's a lot, but I like to go HAM with my builds so it's great for the level of customization. I still play it all the time, and a lot of the stuff I've recoloured in my game so I have more modern colours. You can save the styles you make so you can add them to the pre set list of styles. TBH im thinking of going through my game and relcolouring every single object, I think that could maybe be a fun but tourtuous challenge for anyone that wants to try it XD

I can relate to the sims 3 building causing anxiety and frustration 😂I only played the sims 4 for like 5 years. When i finally bought sims 3 and began playing last year I realized how much I don’t like building in it. I think it’s the tiles being smaller. For me at least I feel like they are smaller than the sims 4. I also am not a fan of the camera/not being able to click to move the camera. It’s a fun game for sure though
its a robot and a vampires house so no wonder they didnt have a refrigerator! and so nice of them to include twin beds, for their sleepovers with their fairy friends

Lore: the narcissist is a witch (alchemy table) and lives with the vampire who was turned in the Victorian times - the vampire actually owns the house (explanation for the old-timey furnishings, Victorian “stove” and “larder”, and lack of telly). The vampire is in love with the narcissistic witch (who’s been living there for a while) and they let her add her own decoration (the statue of herself). They live in one room - witch in the bunk beds, vampire on the slab. The third room mate is from the future but doesn’t have a wellsian time portal to get home, so they just hang out in Appaloosa Plains until Emit Relevart comes back.

Okay Lore for the house. You have a narcissistic vampire and a robot living in this house. The kitchen it there for looks alone so visitors wouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable, same with the bathroom. Your vampire doesn't have a TV because she is all the entertainment needed and is out most nights. The bookshelves are filled with her journals and how to keep up with the decades to pass as human. The robot takes care of the daily chores and runs errands for the vampire that have to be done during the day.
It makes sense for a Master Vampire who has the perk that means he doesnt need to shower ever again, and he eats blood so doesn't need a kitchen - he has a toilet (although he doesnt need it) and a sink for the many....guests he has... ;)
BUILD CHALLENGE: Build a house inspired by a CAS random outfit. You can have each room inspired by each outfit category (everyday::living room, formal::dining, sleepwear::bedroom for example)

You should do a spinner for the object number or just keep it a fixed number for example like each room is a different pack or whatever but we have to use object number 3 for each room and each thing so if we need a toilet and the third object in the toilet category is a potty that’s that seems very chaotic and if the build doesn’t work out who cares and it can be in any sims game but I feel like sims 3 would be helpful because at least you get the choice of cohesion with create a style

Tbf Sims 3 packs didn't introduce many walls and flooring because you could literally pick a basegame flooring and slap 100s of custom designs on it.

If you got a good PC, I find that it actually runs pretty well, just avoid Story Progression from NRaas and you're good.
I always play with all the packs.
Today's computers actually run the game pretty well, you don't even need an expensive one.
Im more surprised my mac can handle it😂

I think you should do each room is 2 colors challenge. Could be more chaotic. Ex: could end up with purple and orange, or green and orange.
