Better than usual. A lot of interesting and useful stuff. The cooling towel was bad timing but with hunting season coming up, the skinning knife and knife with a gut hook are welcomed

We are finally dropping into the 90°’s in the west. Crazy sidenote it’s dark and stormy today, due to remnants from a hurricane when does California have hurricane leftovers 🤣
Love watching Exploring it All too!! He is a great dad spending unforgettable time with his daughter. Both of you give great reviews on stuff. Glad you two are able to be friends now.
It might surprise you how many times I've seen people use skeletonized handles as is. Especially new folks to the knife community who just don't know how to do that stuff.
Another great review, you made me hungry with the biscuits and gravy MRE. I really enjoy your unbiased review. BTW my dad went through basic training at Fort Knox in 1967, I still have his "yearbook" on my bookshelf.
I think you can tell from my reviews that I'm not sponsored. All of my boxes are paid for. Either by me, or by some of my viewers who pay for the boxes and have them sent to me to do the reviews, then I send the boxes to who paid for them. From time to time companies do offer me sample to review but I tell them that if they do send something they are going to get a fully honest review out of it. Most of the time I don't hear from them again. One subscription company does send me some boxes sometimes. I pay for the Monthly Knife Club Onyx box. If the owner has extra boxes of his other subscriptions at the end of the month sometimes he sends me some. But again, he knows I will be honest with my reviews. If you watch them you will see me plenty of time criticize and express some disappointment with what's in those boxes. My goal is for every who watches to know I am always upfront and honest in every video I make.
The 2 knives that were in this box (it's a MIRACLE that there's actually more than 1) seem to perfectly fit the meme of "Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit"
A little place called Glen Oaks. Just off of Union Turnpike. The summer before my Senior year in HS we moved to Glenwood Landing in Nassau, like right next to Roslyn.
@@DocP91B wow doc such a small world my father in law lives in glen oaks and my mother in law used to live in glenwood landings. My daughter was born right there at LIJ hospital!!
I hate gut hooks on knives but for what it is the Phoenix isn't bad... replacement scales are only 20 bucks, replacement gut hook blade 3 packs are only 5.95.. they also for 8.00 sell a "handle kit" with Spartan Fire EDC Tinder #138 Kevlar Thread Sewing Needle #8 Bait Fish Hook Split Shot Compass That fit inside a hollow section of the handle scales
The replaceable gut hook is actually a really good feature. I don’t think it’s so much for sharpening as it is for sterilization. Keep a clean sterile hook so you can swap it out before processing the game. When I’ve gone with family we have to carry multiple knives in case the gut cavity is ruptured, you don’t want to taint the other game you’re processing
Wow thanks for that heart felt shout out, your awesome!! I agree about the meal. Miraculous girl ate most of mine so I guess it was good. I would like to get more than 1. Totally agree about the timing on the towel, but it hit 117° here a few days ago LOL. As always love your input !! And thanks again for that awesome shout out !
Well...I thought about this comment for a sec...but being related to myself would be some kind of inbred hillbilly shit I actively choose not to imagine. So anybody else want to chime in on this? Since the guy wrote it obviously doesn't believe in adding a single bit of context like anyone else with an active IQ would have, let's take a poll: would it be an imaginary good thing, or bad thing to be related to me?
Doc that big and small knife are related to hunting and skinning the hook blade is a gut hook. That biscuit and gravy looks like what i had for dinner and couldnt keep down. I would have to be blind foldered before eating it could taste alright very high sodium though. Stuart Palmer Adelaide Sth Australia
Don't like grits????? I don't think I can watch you anymore. load them up with butter scrambled eggs bacon bits and cheese and then tell me if you like them
No I don't. I give honest reviews. Some people can't handle that. They need the ones where shills just say how great everything is because they can't handle anything remotely real. I'm sorry you find yourself unable to deal with someone who voices honest opinions regarding what comes in the box. Most fanboys get pretty triggered by it. My time in the military taught me to evaluate everything critically. If all you hear is complaining, that's a you problem.
Nice shape for a skinner. The smaller one has three holes where you could pin scales onto it, if you wanted
Better than usual. A lot of interesting and useful stuff. The cooling towel was bad timing but with hunting season coming up, the skinning knife and knife with a gut hook are welcomed
The cooling towel was well received by us, it hit 117° here a couple of days ago.

The two knifes are designed to fit together the feather on top of the talon. The instructions go over it well.
So you missed the part where I showed that exact part of the Instructuons?

Good box, only thing I had an issue with is the big ass billboard on the Walkers. Thanks for keeping the boxes coming Steve.
Can I come to the NE where it's cooling down 🤣 it is still hot as hell in the south 🔥💯
