I've enjoyed watching Homecoming Friends videos ever since I got my first on about 15 years ago. When I was growing up (in the 60's) my dad would take us kids to the "All night sing" at Medina Temple in Chicago, where many of the singers here, were in gospel quartets then. They were literally "all night sing" as many times they didn't end until 1:00 a.m. It's sad to watch this video and recognize how many of the older singers (Vestal and Howard Goodman, J. D. Sumner, James Blackwood, Brock Speer, Anthony Burger {not quite as "old" as the rest}, Jesse Dixon, Stephen Hill, Rex Nelon, Jake Hess, George Younce, Glen Payne, Danny Gaither, just to name a few) have gone on to be with God, but when you see the current singers, many of their children (and even some grandchildren) have stepped in and continued on where the parents (and grandparents) have left off. It's a blessed thing to see. BTW, does anyone know who Dayna Ashley is? She sang the first verse of the song. LOVE that trio of Karen Peck, Ladye Love Smith and Reggie Smith!

He once said in an interview that his parents owned a music store, and if you were going to be able to sell an instrument, you had to be able to play it. There is very little that man could not play. I’ve seen him play accordion, melodica, piano, organ, bass guitar, all on Gaither videos
Loved this song and when the camera showed George Younce, it made me smile. He was one fantastic man of the Lord. I miss him but do have a video I taped of one of his last concerts. RIP George!!!

Loved her version of THE PROMISE. I didn't spot her in the most recent Homecoming event- -until she was named in a performance. She was a big girl for the 2011? Tent Revival, had trimmed down by The Women of Homecoming event in 2013, even more so by the Homecoming event of 2017.
