Wow! That looks interesting and cool. The end product looks great, quite a lot of imagination. 👍

Very cool! I can’t wrap my head around 3-D design. I’m jealous! 😂

@@whatigottaroll I was in the same boat a couple of years ago. I was sticking with CAD because I was afraid of Sculpts. Thought to myself, I felt the same way about CAD when I was staring at my screen making invisible infinity symbols by moving the mouse around, too scared to click the button to start something. It’s all terror until you get the light bulb moment, then it’s fun.

Great video man! The only suggestion I would have is priming before painting.

@@_Hanover_ thanks. I just had no patience for that one. I will be priming all my other terrain pieces.

Very cool. I really like how you included real supports, to avoid the need for wastage

@@CampaignTerrain Thanks, I avoid waste as much as possible. For my Sci-fi terrain I use the tree supports to make alien vegetation and recycle failed print for wreckage.

I commented on another of your videos, and thanks a lot for answering - That's why I love small creators like yourself. (Although, if you keep this up, you will grow.)
Thanks to you, I am going to invest in an iPad and Nomad sculpt. I'm setting some goals for myself to be able to make my own terrain, and then see where that takes me.
I have been playing around with TinkerCAD for a long time now, and I tried sculpting with mouse and keyboard in Blender. It's a behemoth and to complex for me, I must admit. At least for now.
    Thanks again, Slurgical!

@@CarnivoreChris89 you are very welcome. Thank you so much for your support. I first touched CAD with TinkerCAD, it’s a great software to understand the basics. I used to make a part for my fancy pants shower that broke using non standard parts and replacement would have been more than $300 CDN and a 6 months wait. Cost me about 25 cents to print including prototypes. You can do a lot with as little as possible.
I tried blender, made the classic doughnut, felt glorious….but blender was too much for my brain to do anything else lol. I really wished I could have used Fusion or inventor but I would have been limited because I can’t really work at a desk for long.
If you need any help or stuck, please don’t hesitate to ask. You can reach in my discord channel, I have no plan of making anything fancy in there except for terrain talk and nerd talk. It can feel overwhelming, but trust me, the moment you get that a-ha moment that will come without warning, it’s going to feel glorious, the fog will dissipate. If you need to walk away for a bit, thats ok, I did many times, and still do. I’m trying to make miniatures…I had to take a step back after I learned the rigging.

@@Slurgical_3D_Terrain_Channel Just wanted to update you, since you are the one who sparked my interest in this again, re-ignited it if you will. I didnt buy an iPad, was a bit to expensive - at least for now. Instead, I bought a Wacom Intuos M. Cant wait to get started. I was really hoping to use Nomad, but it is what it is. Have to bite the bullet on this one. Thanks once more :)

@@CarnivoreChris89 That is awesome, really happy that I had a positive impact. Sadly they are expensive. Over the years I had a few Wacom tablet. I used them for photoshop and for graphic design. I used to do a lot of photo retouching. Absolutely loved them. I’m sure you will. Are you looking into using blender or Zbrush? I really recommend a space mouse to navigate the 3D world. They are mind blowing and save so much time with work flow. I picked up mine used for under $70 CDN. No matter what the platform you use. This is just glorious. :) Enjoy, have fun, create.
