- I recently picked up this 1990 GT Convertible from Copart. "Theft Recovery". I didn't think I would like the wheels as much as I do and I've decided to keep them on the car. I am going to continue to fix a few things on the car and then I am probably going to sell it once I have it back to its former glory (no Recaros I'm keeping those).

Nice car!! I hate to say it but I’d think I would keep it as you found it. All cars have a story. Plus having those wheels actually make it stand out, different from everything else. Plus you already have a crap ton of cars that have the look you want.

Yeah, it's a dope car and I'd love to build one myself but laws and regulations won't allow it in my country so I'm stuck drooling over builds on UA-cam 😑
You can ship those Wheels to Oakland California. They always use those wheels on mustangs it's a Bay area thing.

If it were me, I'd keep the wheels, paint it pearl white and keep with that Menace 2 Society theme. There actually a lot of people who have that specific mustang as a dream car! Like others have said, that car was somebody's baby before it was stolen and it's got a story. I'd definitely try to hold onto that as much as possible.
Yep, one of the people who worked on the car emailed me this morning saying that the owner who had it babied it.

The 1995 5.0 was my dream car. When done right, nothing sounds like them. Beautiful car. When I was in college in Tallahassee in 2000 there was a guy who had one just like this with a ton of bass in it. Never did get one
I still have my daytons from the early 90’s. Took them off the stang years ago. Now I’m thinking about a new set after seeing this video. Good find. I wish my top still worked that fast!

I love it! I had an 88 GT in high school. Then when I got older before I had my first child, I wanna getting a 93 LX 5.0 hatchback I love them.

Beautiful Mustang, the wheels and color go great together. As for the rust on the wheels, spray WD~40 on them and leave it on overnight it won’t hurt them. then buy wire wheel cleaner and they will shine. I used to have wires wheels on a mini truck when in high school and that’s how we used to remove rust and clean them once a month. Great content makes me want to buy another Foxbody, keep up the great videos!

I remember when those rins and tire setups were common. Mostly on hardbodies and toyota pickups. And there was always a saying or mural on the tailgate. I never thought i would say it because it was played out at the time but i miss them.
Not gonna lie love the look of the Mustang with the wire wheels love the movie Menace to Society that what brought out the 90s GT Mustangs but everyone has their own taste all the way with the rims are a different set of rims it will still look good on that car

Definitely keep the wheels…. Look up acid wheel cleaners for chrome, maybe talk to some local lowrider guys to see what chemical they recommend to clean up the rust off the spokes.
Ya I've done some research and have some products on the way to hopefully help clean them up. Work smarter not harder lol

I absolutely love spoke rims and haven’t seen a Mustang on spokes late 90’s. Those are dope LA wire wheels (brand name)
Makes my 1987 look its age. This mustang is 100 percent clean.
I owned back in the day the same wheels and yes it took at least 45 min to shine each wheel. That’s with a rag and taking them off the car. Look good when done but sucks when they got dirty

Use Turtle Wax chrome polish to remove the rust stains on them spokes. Works great.

I have Dayton's on a Z28 and they didn't last very long probably about 6 months it just depends how you drive the car if you drive it like a normal person those rooms will be fine but if you start getting on it and taking off quick you'll tear them up I was told that they can't handle a lot of torque

The way the car set up with those wheels. It's an actual style of stance. Cars that look like that usually have hydraulics. I think they call it mexi flush.

Man nice score. What a time capsule, What size of wheels r those 15x10 on 195/50/15 ?. I had an 86 2.4, 87, & 89 5.0 mustang and we ran the 15x10 or 15x12 on the 195/50/15 and drove around all weekend without a care in the world. Really nice score.
They are 17s with a 205 stretched on them. Haven't measured out the full specs yet
