I am SO glad I found this video! I've had mine since 2011 and still going strong! Used it to clear 8-car parking lot and 3 residential accounts every winter. Before I put it away each season, I run the snowblower dry and lubricate all areas. Only thing I've had to replace on it so far is the rubber friction wheel. I will also check the amount of grease in the auger box - this video brought to my attention that my auger housing has a little blue cap atop the auger worm drive box and I'll take a q-tip to see what the level is at and add the proper amount of 00 grease I imagine. I'll do some more research before I add anything. This video should be included in every owners manual - the owners manual that comes with the unit is very basic, but hands down, this video is a must - great at showing how to disassemble/reassemble. Mine still starts on the 1st pull, but when the time comes where I need to clean or change out the carb, I now know how to do it. Thank you for making this video!
Just getting at this carburetor is not very intuitive. This is a great video. I had no idea how to remove it. It’s strange they go from metric 10mm to SAE 3/8 then 1/2 then 3/4. 6:30-7:30 is exactly what I needed.
For anyone reading this down the line, Cub Cadet snow blowers are an absolute pain to work on and don't even have basic things such as fuel shut offs from the fuel tank. If I'd known how hard they are to work on before I bought one, I probably would have bought a different make.
I have worked my way up to this machine - the only negative is, the reverse 1 & 2 are useless. I called the dealership and they said, that's just the way they are (wtf). It is easier to disengage both wheels and pull. Any suggestions?
@@philanderson8419 ok, I am now learning the hard way. How can I get a seized wheel off? I put a scissor jack between the wheel and housing and still it won't budge. I'm worried I will need to open it up, cut the axel in 1/2.
After weeks of daily applications of several types of penetrating oils and pounding with a pipe and sledge on the back of rim near axle, was able to get one off. The second one, I drilled a hole into the rim shaft up to the axle and started soaking it through there with the oil and it finally broke loose. Took about a month, working on it about an hour a day off and on. Good luck
You should show Us changing the drive wheel . On a cub cadet snowblower that has the turning control Levers . There is more things that have to be done, with that system. Please do a movie on that system..!!
Just what I needed to see. The bottom plate is removable because mice are living in there. Didn't find out til smoke started coming out of the housing.
Took wheel of the one side.Put it back on had a problem getting back on,as the shaft slid a keyway fell to the ground.took the bottom housing off to see where the keyway went.nowhere could I see where keyway slides in.If anyone knows please reply it would be appreciated.the keyway is a half moon shape
I have this snowblower. My directional shoot goes all the way left but not all the way right and vice versa. Can anyone help? Your help would be greatly appreciated.
My Cub Cadet has the power steering, how do I dismantle the shaft to replace the friction ring. The model shown here does not have the power steering mechanism. I am guessing you just remove the circlips to release the bearings each side?
Excellent video of the required service. Is there one like this for the 3x30" Pro H, so I can remove the hydro static transmission in the right sequence? It's the only way to add and check the oil levels.
I've done alot of wrenching over the years,... I mean alot !... like full auto restorations, Corvettes, Harley's & 4x4's of all types & we can't even get the Spark plug boot off this 30" Club Cadet x3, What's the deal with that ?
yup, found out why... rusted to the spark plug ! this is a 3yr old machine.... maybe at Factory assembly, they could add some lube or anti seize to that metal spark plug cover !
30" Club Cadet x3, Ok found out why it won't start, **** won't stay running without constantly pushing the fuel primer button,... sooo, am I to assume the Carb bowl &/or main jet is plugged ?
I am here just to say this Cub-Cadet seems purposely brilliantly designed to be infuriating to work on. You have to take a million things apart in a non-logical order, and of course, different sizes and fasteners for everything. What a horror.
Not one word about new gaskets!! Been working on one with no compression! Not like old school built to last more then a year or two!!! Your right nothing but a nightmare!!!!!!!

I have no idea who you folks are but god damn if you aren't the best thing on the internet.
This is great. I'm glad to understand more about my machine but I needed info on replacing the shift cable .

I second this. do not buy cub cadet.
Yeah, because a screw driver and socket set are sooooo hard to use. Wow.

Put never siege on axels before putting tires on.👍
Great advise,I learned the hard way

Any suggestions on how to remove wheels that are stuck on the axle. Removed the bolt but neither tire will budge. Thank you
WD-40 and a rubber mallet.
It'll come off. A lil persuasion
nothing working here so far.

All this playlist to change all the parts on the snowblower but none for the headlight bulb ? I'm not looking hard enough ?
Good day Watched your video on cadet snowblowers, can you show mechancis of power steering Thanks
How do you drain old gas causing not to start?
Do not use match inside gas tank
WTH man! where's the stator/magneto?

They could have designed it so the carb was easy to get to. But no.
That's all snow machines
They want you bringing it into a dealer to fix, that’s why they don’t make it easy. Most Carb fixes can be done while still attached too machine.
Wait what? What did they say? Did they say to make sure to work on it while it's good and hot and running? 😂
I have one these cub cadets. Its been a piece of shit from day one
