The reason people bad-mouth the Black Album is because that is when they say Metallica "sold out"... which isn't true at all, they just had a new sound engineer involved that evolved the music. It wasn't until LATER, after the Napster situation, then albums after Re-loaded and then selling out to Guitar Hero that the claims that Metallica 'sold out' can hold water. But since Black Album is their biggest seller it gets the reputation of being "the sell out point" when it never was.
It has too many average songs on it. Other than sad but true, the unforgiven, wherever I may roam and my friend of misery I don't really listen to the album anymore just sometimes. I think justice is the best album and in comparison the black album really isn't that great.
Jacob Ballance it’s easy many believe they sold out. The Black is a truly commercial album. I don’t hate it and I don’t love it. With that said I stopped listening to Metallica’s new releases with in 5 years of its release. With the lost of Cliff I think they lost what truly made them great. Cliff was much more then a great bassist he taught Metallica to compose.
I think is so immature to dislike this album because of that "sold out" bullshit, this is a hard rock/heavy metal album and this genre has never been commercial AT ALL. This is the best studio work that Metallica has ever done, is a perfect album. No other rock/metal band could ever reach that level ever again after his release in 1991. Say whatever you want, but you know the sales record speaks for itself. The black album was the last great rock album in history.
I remember my Dad gave me this album for my 10th birthday (I'm 36 now lol) My absolute favorite Metallica song! I used to play the crap outta The Black Album! That guitar solo is EVERYTHING!
Mate you are absolutely KILLING IT with these song choices!! Love the channel, your mix of great songs, humour and solid observations make for great viewing! You should check out Megadeth "Peace sells" when you get a chance, the bass line will get instant FATALITY!!
I was in the car with some of my boys, one of them is a brother from Detroit, never listened to rock or metal of any kind before until this song came on the radio. Now the rest of us have heard this song dozens of times so we just chill back and really think nothing of it. When the song ends our boy from Detroit is crying his eyes out and asks us. "what else they got" Now ten years if you ride in his car you hear shit like 2Pac after Megadeath then Biggie then Dream Theater. Its a trip and a half if your not prepared or high off your @$$.
This song is heavenly.. The way it describes the never ending imprisonment in modern day society from birth till death is just unbelievable. True freedom is an illusion in modern day's society and what you do with the text is up to yourself.
This is hands down my favorite Metallica song. I love that you react to a broad range of musical genres and eras. I've noticed that I feel even more enjoyment watching someone listen to something I love for the first time, but never more than right now. Your face is usually so animated and with such a deep song and music video you seemed so engaged and thoughtful about it. I love that.
So, I've gotta say I've been watching your metallica reaction videos tonight. (I subbed btw) Watching you experience these songs for the first time really brings me back to my childhood. It's really cool to see. I love it. They ARE the reason I started playing guitar, by the way. DO IT
@King_KTF Brother Pres, I've sub'd and been watching all morn, I really enjoy your approach, the reactions are genuine, that love of music. As a child of parents with diverse music heritage, and a fan of both metal AND hip hop, I feel your music soul, brother. Keep going, there is a WORLD of rock and metal, softer and harder to explore. Cheers!
Robert Phegan I always wished they would have done the solo from Nothing Else Matters here. It’s so heartfelt and thus perfectly fitting for a heartfelt song such as this,
I'm soooooo glad you did this song. One of my favorite Metallica songs. Thank you KTF keep up the awesome work. Good quality videos, reactions and music with no over the top bullshit.
So many more metallica songs to touch on. May i suggest something off their s&m album. They did a lot of their classics as well as no leaf clover (a new one at that time) and the entire album is done with the san fan orchesta
Another home run Preston. I enjoy all metallica the way you do. I love that you're not corrupted like so many metallica fans that because it doesn't sound like puppets or lightning they don't accept metallica's diversity or they don't understand. You do and is refreshing living thru you for 10 minutes
Love you'r stuff so much. I have a friend from out the country, and I think I am starting my own Reaction vids for her reaction and my love of music. Peace and Love man. Thank you
bro. I love seeing you get into this song. I was 13 years old when this song/video came out. and just seeing you bob that head with your eyes glued makes me love this video even more. its like youre the 13 year old me for the first time again...
Metallica - Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) Live Chicago 1983 - You will enjoy this instrumental by Cliff Alice in Chains you should check out. I think these are better than the album versions. My recommendations are Pantera-Domination, Disturbed-Drooping plates, Static X-Black and White, Gojira-Ocean Planet (AWESOME guitar in that one). Keep it going and cheers from Croatia. 🤘

Love your reaction videos dude. I've literally watched like ten in a row. BOO YA! Loving how into the tunes you get. For me this is Metallica's greatest solo and one of James Hetfield's greatest vocal performances.
The Message - Grand Master Flash...when i fell for Rap & AC/DC For Those About to Rock as a Kid my Dad died young age 29 to Cancer all i had was Music to get me through everyday...and it Honestly got me hooked to ALL Music that was Good i was playing it..."4real"..Music got me here...that was a Real Good Réaction Vid 👌👍✊
Dude that Edge from WWF reference "you think you know me?" has won me over. I love This song because James Hetfield grew up fatherless I believe and his mom later died of cancer in the 90's? (don't quote me on that last one) and this song really shows that the scars left by those experiences linger on,he was an alcoholic for a while too and he sobered up around this same time.
Hey, love the content. 100k subs no problem! You mentioned guitar solos and drums in another video. I gotta recommend: The Mars Volta - Cicatriz esp Dueling guitar solos and out of this world drums. You may dig it.
Thank you for posting this video... You hear Apocalyptica's covers of Metallica or The Harp Twins both are beautiful.... Take care and have a great day everyone...
Loving it bro. Good song, great reaction. People always love it when someone enjoys what they enjoy. I wanna switch up the genre on you a little bit now. I supposed they would be considered industrial rock, but the request is Stabbing Westward - Save Yourself. I think you'll dig it, but if you pick requests going off how many people request it, you'll probably never give em a chance. An obscure band that fuckin killed it at the time. Keep doing what you're doing brosef. You're slayin'.
ReLoad was a gem, period. And it's kinda funny because it's everything they couldn't fit on Load. Another fun fact: the cover art to Load is semen and blood, the covert art to ReLoad is blood and urine, literally.
I gotcha, but I wanted to make the point to him just in case say he doesn't like, "I stand Alone," which I think he will like and ultimately enjoy, Not to become discouraged, I guess was my train of thought when commenting...
This song is gorgeous. Will never understand why people dislike the black album
The reason people bad-mouth the Black Album is because that is when they say Metallica "sold out"... which isn't true at all, they just had a new sound engineer involved that evolved the music.
