Probably in future seasons we could see this play out of Alastor's vulnerability.
I REALLY like that people in the fandom don't portray Alastor as a soulless creature. And even show that he does NOT spit from the high bell tower! I love it!

@@sofiaporrasgomez4406 Most people turn out to be serial killers because they've suffered trauma in their early childhood. A lot of them had abusive parents or faced serious bullying in other places, which made them the way they are.

@@waywardmagician no he doesn’t, he uses like a accent or something?? He basically makes his voice sound more high pitched and they put a radio effect I guess on it , that’s why it’s called voice acting.

The thing I would really love to see is alastor slowly changing to redemption during all seasons and probably being like a final boss before realizing being good better(I have no idea how to make it good because I’m suck at creating story hit this idea interesting to me)

A lot of people assume that he won't change because he was a serial killer and stuff, but for me, it wouldn't make sense for Alastor to stay a vilain
I would be like "Okay, he's a vilain, but he's portrayed as a vilain since the pilot, can we move on now ?"
And since he's Vizvipop's favorite, I can't expect less than a very good development for him
Come on, it's a story about redemption ! And Alastor is portrayed as THE last cause (and he's probably the first to think that about him, since he doesn't believe in redemption)
If he gets redeemed (probably after being the villain for a while), it wouldn't mean "A serial killer can be good, let's all hug !", it would mean "It's not because you make mistakes and see yourself as a lost cause that you're one. You still can change your ways and fix your wrong doings, as long as you can act (maybe Hell doesn't exist, but as long as you're alive at least)"
This is the kind of lesson we can expect from a show like this, and Alastor would be the perfect one to show it

In the case of the last two, they are people (demons) with trauma, who at some point made the worst mistake of their lives and live with the psychological consequences to this day, which shaped their worldviews, their depression and their tendency to avoid problems, but that they are still trying

Lucifer and Blitz shows this pattern clearly, they made mistakes, but are trying to stay good, despite the trauma
Maybe Alastor will be the same type, but he'll be more subtle, because he doesn't see the point in trying or something like that... So he's just like "Why would I change, if it's already too late for me ?" (I remind the fact that he doesn't believe in redemption. Yes, Lucifer didn't at first either, but as the king of Hell, he wouldn't be able to benefit it anyway. Alastor could, as a sinner, but thinks that it's impossible, too late for him (and for everyone else ? Probably... Some people think that he brang Nifty and Husk so they can try to be redeemed too. Why not, we don't know everything about Alastor's motives after all)
And it would explain why Alastor is the favorite one of them: he's even more subtle, deep and complex in his way to deal with his (After)life
Let's be honnest, how many of us never wanted to throw away everything and become a real trash because we've been hurt way too much ? I'm not saying it's a good thing, just that as humans we can feel so hopeless that we become able to do things that we''ll regret afterward
A lot of people said that Alastor was relatable after his speech about smiles in episode 7, but what if it was the point ? What if behind all the "villain act" that Alastor shows us until the Finale song, Vivzi took one moment to subtlely tell us "Alastor will be the most relatable character in the show"
And no, it won't be because he's a damn serial killer ! But because he's a very flawed human who acts like the biggest villain because he doesn't see any good in himself
@@WendyvousLivre In Alastor's case, he's a terrible person, but in this series no one is exactly the best person. He is undoubtedly the worst of the main cast, but this could mean that his nature is pure evil like the classic Disney villains who were only bad because they wanted to and could, unlike the other characters who could have been victims of their circumstances. In this case, Al would be irredeemable and the "true evil" within the story, who would show Charlie that not everyone is like Angel Dust and Sir Pentious (that they were never that bad deep down)
Or maybe Al is actually so damaged that he doesn't know how to function without acting like a psychopathic asshole, and he's hiding a lot more pain than we realize. We don't know why Alastor does what he does, but many say that a man like him will end up having the saddest backstory of all. Viv likes to write characters who seem cynical but with tragic undertones that explain their attitude.
@@user-mm5rp1zy2y Disney pure villains doesn't have backstory, or very little. From what we know, like you said, they're evil because they can be, nothing else. If they had a backstory, we wouldn't see them as "true evil" either
Alastor being a pure villain would have an interest (you talked about showing Charlie that not everyone is like Angel or Pentious), but then it would only benefit the main character development (which is good of course). Alastor couldn't show anything else because it would break this pure evil image that he's suppose to represent for the main character and the viewers. The only thing he could do is to stay the same villain we've already been shown since the beginning...
For Vizvi's favorite, I can't believe it. She has big plans for him, I can tell. We always have big plans for our favorite characters. I can't help but think making him a true villain would be kind of a waste...

I like to think that Alastor, behind all his act, is actually kind of lost.
I mean... What does he want ? Power ? I don't think so, he never tried to gain power when he was alive. At best he wants control. He doesn't like not being in control, it even makes him panic in the Finale. But why does he want control ? Maybe it's just reassuring him, but he's not planning to do anything specific with it... He wants freedom too, but from a deal he made earlier, as if he realised that it wasn't worth it as much as he thought at first
We don't know what Alastor really want, but a part of me wonders if Alastor does know it himself...
In this somewhat sad climate, I even imagine Vox with some phrase sounding more or less like this

Fun fact: I have an oc I created before the official show of Hazbin even came out and he's JUST. like. Alastor. Same sexuality and everything. Except he has a resting poker face. He's a sociopathic murderer as well. Guess what: he's my favorite oc out of any of them BECAUSE he's a murderer. What I'm saying is some people actually LIKE murderous characters and want to sympathize with them. Get over it.
