Londoner here: Going to a pub quiz is a good call actually, I hadn't thought of suggesting that to visitors but it's a very British thing to do and a fairly inexpensive way to fill an evening. I used to go to one at The Union close to Westbourne Park Station that was good, as well as general knowledge questions they had a tasting round where you had to identify the flavours of things like popcorn, chocolate, crisps or gin. No idea if that's still the same.
Pubs tend to just have one quiz per week and it's usually on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, to bring in trade on these quieter nights.

@@belto3149 hey, my trip was awesome, I will definetly come back to London one day. We didn't have much time, because it is such a big city with a lot of things to see and do. I would recommend a circural Thames cruise from Westminster to Greenwich. You see a lot of things along the way. Then Piccadilly at night is also a must. The parks are really beautiful. Also Covent Garden.. And it's worth seeing St. Paul's Cathedral... If you like to read I would say go to Waterstones. It is a huge bookshop with a lot of different genres and topics. :)
      Have a great time :)

I don't live in London but I visit roughly every 3 weeks. I have wanted to go to Victoria Park for ages but I am very rarely in the East of London. I would also recommend Morden Hall Park as it is beautiful and very close to Morden Tube Station. Richmond is also a great area to spend time in either exploring the town, sitting by the river or visiting the park.

I'm enjoying london right now!!! And what I love about the place are the old structures, most of the houses are bricks and it's mostly full of crowds in the shopping areas like Oxford st,and I think Mayfair is a pricey area to buy stuff but LOVE THE PLACE!!OH AND last july 21 near Buckingham palace I saw those royal soldiers march along the road it was awesome to see!!

Great places. There’s a lot to Exoerience if you just step outside the City Centre. Putney , Blackheath, Cricklewood and Exmouth Market are all worth checking out. It’s all about finding your own favourites. ( like I’m always having a weekend Brunch in Docklands by the Thames)

Oh wow, thank you so much for the information on these places tourists don't get to see. I will definitely some of the places you recommended when I return to England soon. Do pubs have sodas if I don't want to drink any of the alcohol in those places but want to partake in the British quizzes just like the locals do? I do want to visit Victoria Park because I will probably end up staying in East London very near some friends I know.

Wise to bring a blazer or light rain jacket just in case, otherwise it should be quite warm, just check the weather before you leave

They ask questions, teams compete between each other, whoever gets the most right wins a prize.
