    Absolutely loved this video. So much information. I have to admire her guts for doing the work needed to make that small amount of lotus silk. I have learned about something I had no idea about. I love silk and now know about a silk that doesn’t kill something to make a fibre I love. I wouldn’t even know where I could buy a piece of lotus silk. Thank you for doing this.

      Thank you! samatoa.lotus-flower-fabric.com/ Samatoa is the Cambodia-based business that inspired me to do this. It has a lot more information about lotus silk and they sell products as well.

    It can take at least 2 months to make one lotus silk scarf. So for what you gathered in one harvest is acutally a lot!

      I have so much respect for the artisans who do this every day. I'm pretty proud of what I did, but my body was not prepared for the kind of hard work that goes into this. :-)

    She made it sound hard work which was distracting. I didn’t like her attitude she was condescending and it was unattractive. I mean if you didn’t want to do it then why?

    • @Luthvarian
      @Luthvarian  3 роки тому +3

      Well, sure is a good thing I wasn't trying to be attractive.
      😂 This is very hard work, which is something I want anyone who plans to go down this path to know before getting into it. I am an experimental fiber artist and teacher. My goal isn't to make the work look easy and pretty.
