This is my video from the 2004 Siren Contest. This broken unit was located at Jupiter and Bobby Lane in Garland, TX. It was one of 3 or so Hurricanes left in the system. At the time Garland was slowly changing out units with ATI products. They ran Alert and Attack but this unit only ran Alert twice. You could faintly hear another unit running attack in person. Thanks for finding that video. I have a folder on my computer with a lot of these old classic videos.
Imagine finding an unlabeled VHS at a shady thrift store or something. You buy it, insert the tape and you're rewarded with THIS. How fucking cool would that be? Imagine if there's a VHS recording out there of like, a Soundmaster 125 rotating and doing Hi-Lo?

Soundmasters do not have solenoids
I'm almost certain 115s do. But do 125s not have solenoids? That would make sense, tbf, due to its odd design.
@@wigwagstudios2474 115s don't have those either
@@ToothlessThedragon9They have dampers. Not all sirens use solenoids, but use dampers.
@@Mrbushhasabigbushdownthere No they don't
This made my day. Thank you for posting this!!!
There's another one coming
Note: this siren is one of the most rarest but A broke rotator?!
I like this one!
Awesome!!
I was in kindergarten when this was filmed.
Amazing. I wonder where this was recorded.
Garland Texas.
wow this is like kristler park
nice
*Had a broken rotator, it has to be taken down by now.
It was taken down in 2004 and replaced by sirens along with Garlands other Hurricanes
Blower has trouble at the beginning
What jammed the rotator?
Probably a broken chain drive
The rotator was welded on
@@sirensofFL No it was not, La Crescent MN was the ones with the welded rotators.
@@Thomasveum well, Im not an expert
What ever happened to the Garland hurricanes?
Got removed in Winter 2002 & 2004 for auction. Replaced by ATI Engineering sirens, later Whelen WPS Omnidirectional Sirens.
No they have a system of Whelen Vortex’s
AHhhhHHHHHHHhhHhHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Are you okay if I upload the audio to roblox.
That's fine with me, although I don't own this recording
The rotator wasn’t broken the siren was welded there
The rotator was broken Mr. Unsmarty Pants
La Crescent (MN) was the one that had the welded rotator iirc
