    I know you hate comparisons. Same here lol but this and the Salon Guy Pure Shampoo and Conditioner. I'm not asking which one is better, but would you consider using Ocean Clay Shampoo and Conditioner to your daily life? Does that mean you alter between Shampoos? A brand a week? alter the days? Or you are just using SalonGuy ? I am not sure if you get me lol let me know

      Haha I feel you. I prefer the Pure set overall, but I do alternate between brands every time I wash my hair. So lately I’ve been alternating between the SalonGuy Hemp set, Amika The Kure, Shehvoo, Xmondo, and sometimes MM clay cleanser followed up with Viral colorditioner.

    Pure Set still better than this ?
    Don’t know why these have so much chemical stuff in it , pure set has way less ingredients...
    Morris motley has a new shampoo (the new clay cleanser) as well , would be awesome to see your opinion here as well and the hemp shampoo set from the salon guy 🤜🏻
    Have a happy new year!😇

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  4 роки тому +1

      Personally I prefer the Pure set but these are really nice too. Ingredients aren’t really that big of a deal, different labs have different formulations. But yeah, Hemp set review coming soon! Happy New Year!

    • @LukasBlau
      @LukasBlau 4 роки тому

      TDM Style oh ok good to know but I think pure is like the same as hemp in terms of conditioning , softness etc doesn’t it?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  4 роки тому

      Mostly I suppose. The Hemp set to me is even more conditioning but is more of a luxury-type that I only use sometimes. Pure I think is more of a good "everyday" type option.

  • @zeroknight55
    @zeroknight55 4 роки тому +1

    I'm pretty sure the "silicones = bad" applies mostly to people with dry, textured hair that often require going without shampoo for days at a time and using conditioner to detangle between washes. But for everyone else that washes their hair on a more frequent basis, I'm sure they're fine.

    Shehvoo solid brand. Matt one question: which jar (of styling product) did you actually use as a whole last time?

    • @TDMStyle

    Hey Matt, great video!! I’m hoping you can help me out with something. I’ve had a high volume quiff for years now and today I completely changed my haircut by going with a more short, textured look. I usually use 25 spray by the Salon Guy, but with shorter hair I feel like I should be using something to give me more texture instead of smoothing. I have thick hair similar to yours. If you’ve tried any prestylers that you think would work well for me, I would very much appreciate it.

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  4 роки тому

      Thanks Brad! I think a few great options for you are the texture sprays from Trade Union or Shear Revival, the new Crafted blow dry cream, or I also hear that Flagship Blackwater is amazing (though I haven’t been able to try that one yet).

    Shevhoo, blumaan, Costa products are from same lab, i think

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  4 роки тому +1

      Hard to say. None of them explicitly say where/which lab they use. Forte website says they have a California-based lab, although on their packaging it says "manufactured by Forte," with a Canadian address. Shehvoo website/packaging just says "made in USA" with no address. They do have a Nevada address in their contact info, but I would assume that is some kind of office. Blumaan also does not specify and just says "made in USA." So, it's basically impossible to tell unless you can ask someone at each company I suppose. Either way, I still think Shehvoo's formulas are the best of that lot.

      Thanks and Happy New Year! Baxter's shampoo and conditioner are pretty decent. My only minor gripe with those is that the scent is pure mint, which I'm not a massive fan of. But they work just fine!

    Quick question, I have fairly wavy hair too, how do you get your waves under control? Every time you "blow dry that bitch" it's like 70% of the wavyness is gone, it seems impossible to control mine 😖

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  4 роки тому +1

      I hear ya man. It took me a good long while of blow drying practice to be able to get it as straight as I can now. Honestly it just takes a bunch of practice but keep at it and you’ll find it gets easier each time. I’m planning to do an updated blow drying tutorial soon too!

    Can you use the shampoo daily, or is it recommended to wash a couple of times a week?

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  3 роки тому

      You can use it daily. Depending on your hair type, the general rule of thumb is to only shampoo a few times per week, but for some folks that isn’t practical. So it’s up to you, and either way is fine!

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  4 роки тому +2

      Volume set extends the hair shaft to increase thickness immediately. These contain ingredients which are supposed to stimulate healthy and thicker hair growth over time.

      TDM Style which one would you say makes your hair feel more hydrated or healthier cause I have the pure set and I’m planning to switch it up a little

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  4 роки тому

      I'd say the Shehvoo set feels more deeply hydrating than the Xmondo one. Xmondo is definitely more of a "daily driver" set that feels light and doesn't do heavy duty hydration.

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  4 роки тому

      They're standard salon-size bottles. You'll find the same size for any other brand of good quality shampoo to be honest - and you use such a small amount at a time, they still last a long while.

    • @lvl5charmander
      @lvl5charmander 4 роки тому

      TDM Style now that you mention it, that’s true. but the price is what makes me hesitant .

    • @TDMStyle
      @TDMStyle  4 роки тому

      I feel you. However it's the same kind of deal - any good quality salon shampoo/conditioner of this size will run you about $25 each. It's a big difference from cheap drug store stuff but they last much longer, and are much healthier for your hair in the long run.
