    So i own a Bambulabs X1C and a P1P. I knew this was a "clone" but i didn't realize how much of a clone it was until i saw this video. The setup, the screws, the packaging, the thin ribbon cable going to the display, the UI, obvious the looks. That is crazy.

    Sometimes the glue is used as a release material. Some materials, like PETG, might bind too well with the print surface and rip chunks out when you remove it. The glue releases easier while still being tacky enough for printing. I usually use glue with a little spray of IPA for an even thin coating.

    Not all PLA can be printed at speed so it's worth taking time to run a max flow text and then you can work out the max print speed for each filament. The Prusament I have didn't like printing fast and would max out at 14 mm3 /s. I am using ESUN EPLA HF and it's much like the hyper pla and prints very fast, but also when printed at normal speeds is quite strong. The software is Klipper and Creality have not admitted they are using open source firmware or released the source code.

    As for Hyper PLA I've heard Bambu brand filaments are formulated mostly for quick melting. I've had a X1C for a few weeks and plan to start testing my non Bambu filaments. I'm getting prints light years better than my Ender 3 V2.

  • @TanjoGalbi
    @TanjoGalbi 11 місяців тому

    I think the height of the deviations in those early prints could be due to the bed getting low enough to change the angle of the bend in that filament lead tube to start allowing easier movement of the filament. That would explain why it was the same height in each print.

  • @nrdesign1991

    The glue sticks less than the printbed. On my Bambu Lab printer, PLA sticks to the special PLA plate so well it rips apart the surface if you don't apply any release agent.

    When are you going to get the bambu lab x1 with AMS. I finally punted and got one after I was in the middle of a job and the damn flashforge extruder screwed up again. My first 3d printer was a makerbot cupcake cnc (came in a box of parts and you had to build the hot end and extruder). This is my 4th printer in 13 years and it’s nice to see we are finally getting to where the maintenance only takes 5 minutes vs 3 hours.

    Cura started to do some very odd things to my printers couple of years back, which caused so many issues to prints. If you check the model after you slice it, there's a lot of... whatchacallit... extrude starting points(?) in very strange places that will cause stringing, ringing and other problems, no matter the settings and they are always in same places, no matter how many times you print the model. Even calibration cube didn't end up good like earlier. And if that Creality's slicer is fork of Cura, there's the problem. I saw in your earlier videos where you were wondering about it too. I haven't found the solution for it even if I come back after each Cura updates and still no luck. I switched to Prusa Slicer and my printing problems was solved right away. Also Prusa Slicer's new organic supports are making life so much easier. Not sure if there's any settings for hyper filaments, since I heard about them for first time myself in this video.
    I don't usually watch unboxing or product reviews, but your videos are always fun to watch. Keep it up!
    Edit: Oh, looks like it was just belt and tube issues in this one. Should been watching the video to the end before commenting!

    Great video! In the video you showed some small changes (reverse boden and belt tension), you need to re-run the input shaper calibration after all changes to improove the print quality ---> all these changes impact the resonace frequence. Compared to my Ratrig VCORE 3.1 (running at same speeds and standard PLA and ABS) the parts you showed, unfortunately look like crap. Also try to calibrate preasure advance (for every material) as well, as it will improove the prints. Check the Klipper docs for more detail, good luck and happy printing!

It Will last for year you use very small amounts it go a long ways. I look in to a lot of different one and this one came out to be best for 3D printers and other things and is food safe. And if you get on the belts or any carbon fiber, plastics parts it will not damage them and when it will wipe off with water or acetone. I actually take a very small paper clip and do the bearings on the fan’s also. Depending on the printer I got between 5 and 20 dB less noise. This is what’s packed in most of your kitchen appliances gears. Boxes, Several of the 3D printers manufactures recommend doing this with some lubricant and grease all part moving parts with something before you use their printers. After Printing a few things you’ll notice that the extra grease will build up and be almost black because it has removed the fine metal particles from the parts, just wipe off and apply a little bit again. It should not turn black but once or twice a year and you need to wipe it off and reapply. I personally wipe it off and reapply once a month as preventive maintenance And it never turns black.

    bought mine 1 week ago this terrible printer, the extruder not working properly and buggies firmware to work with. ready to spend few weeks to fix the problems yourself if u want to get it. is like taking a gambling yourself to buy it whether u get the working properly unit or useless unit

    What is a Ben Heck 3D printer review? A miserable pile of references! But enough talk, have at you!
