Most character's have abilities with short cooldowns use them whenever you can to save time because your m1 will usually be your least effective dmg early. Make sure to buy items from chests, drones aren't very good, almost all enemies need to see you to hit you, Wandering Vagrant's explosion also relies on line of sight so hide when it starts glowing
fym drones are great. the gunner and missile drones can distract enemies, healing and emergency drones are great healing sources and gunner turrets can basically fend for themselves with their high damage output. not to mention that they benefit both empathy cores and drone parts. the only drone i would say is bad is the big TC
@@badwithusernames3238 good points, if I have the extra money in the deeper stages I buy as many drones as I can. I recorded a run with my friend as a duo that lasted an hour and a half and we almost beat the game but the recording corrupted.
@@badwithusernames3238 imo they are too expensive to be worth it, they cost more than items, they can be used as distractions but I don't usually get hit on a stage so I find them useless and gunner turrets are useless imo unless they can help you with the tele event. Drones are immediately worth it if you have an item to buff them though. I would only buy drones in later stages when you have a cash overflow
you should generally try and loot all the items on the stage and get all the drones. the timer seems intimidating but generally you get stronger at a faster pace than monsters as long as youre collecting items. drones are always good to have as they are great at distracting enemies and the healing drones are some of the best early healing you can get. the only times you shouldnt grab something is if its a TC-280 drone (rallypoint delta exclusive spawn) as they are absurdly expensive for how fast they die, Shrine of order is funny but usually just ruins your run, lunar items (come from lunar pods, you had one spawn on stage 3) are generally a mixed bag as some trivialize the game and some make you lose 99% of the time. generally though you want to pick up items you havent picked up before as youll need to collect every item to complete the logbook. lastly, some things you should be absolutely looking out for are scrappers as they let you turn items into scrap which are always used first at 3d printers. this gets exponentially more useful as you learn the game more and learn what items are good or bad. you should also be looking out for newt altars and lunar coins. lunar coins drop from enemies 5% of the time with the chance halving each time one is dropped in a run and are a currency for lunar pods, newt altars and some other things. the newt altar is a small frog-looking stone statue that spawns in fixed spots where you can spend a lunar coin to prepare a lunar portal at the teleporter that spawns when the teleporter has been charged. this portal can also spawn randomly at the start of a stage removing the need of the altar but these odds work the same as the lunar coin drop rate. going through the portal allows you to get access to a special shop where you can buy up to 5 lunar items for 2 coins each, trade multiple items of one rarity into one item of a higher rarity at the soups (3 white to 1 green, 5 green to 1 red), and select your next stage from 2 random options for 3 lunar coins, with a chance of a certain other hidden realm also appearing. and perhaps, there might be a secret that lies below you...
