    based on your review I got the Symphony Desktop and wow are you ever RIGHT. Just an amazing interface. I've been using Apollo Twin Duo, the Antelope Orion HD. The Antelope is a big step up in sound quality but it's been quite unreliable (better recently with updates but was ready to move on after so much frustration). This seems to offer the very best of both of those interfaces. Tremendous top of the line converters and fidelity plus the reliability of the Apollo Twin Duo. It's a revelation. You do a great job Henny and I appreciate your worthwhile expertise. Thanks for givin us tha BIZ!

    Great review! For those shocked by the price, you gotta understand that this is a piece of professional equipment with professional grade conversion, not to mention all the other features, etc. It's not to say you can't get professional results with interfaces at a lower price point, but this is priced appropriately, and isn't really intended to be an entry-level or "bang for your buck" product. It's a desktop version of their flagship interface, which is can be found in a ton of the top professional studios. There are certainly more practical interfaces on the market that can get the job done of recording audio, but with this level of converters, preamps, the touchscreen, dsp processing, etc...it's reasonably priced. If you were shocked by this, you better not google Prism Sound of Lynx audio interfaces. lol Keep up the good work Henny.

    Great show! One important thing to note, that not a lot of people are mentioning, is that as of now (Jan 2021), if you have a new M1 mac, symphony desktop is pretty much our only working option from Apogee. It might take a long time before all these other interfaces can work on the M1 macs. Something to consider when shopping around for interfaces.

    Hey my man I always love your videos, I didn’t realize that the Apogee had a decent variety of onboard DSP with out having to use an app or plugin. That’s a nice feature. I personally love my RME Baby Face Pro. My iPad Pro 2020 can power it and it has super clear and pristine preamps. It’s a bit hearty at the $900 range but the quality and mobility is there for the RME for me!

    Ive always used Apogee products. From the Duet to Original Symphony. Super Dope! But I have to agree to disagree on the "Best IPad Pro" audio interface Money can buy. I have an Ipad Pro 2020 & recently bought the SSL 2+ for $275.00. The SSL sounds so pristine & tight & has all the features the Symphony does minus the price & optical out which "most people don't use in a mobile situation. Oh and the SSL give you Midi in & out as well & the 4k Hi Freq boost from their legendary 4000 consoles. Peep it out but the Apogee Symphony is Lit too if you got that paper to play with. As far as i know, Apogee always had a good compatibility with Apple products. A month ago, i was looking into a new sound interface. I chose to go with an Apollo twin x though. Couldn't be happier, great sound. Both Apogee and Apollo (UAD) are really great!

      @DBLCreations 3 роки тому

      @@ColdSteppinKeys Honestly, the "touch" interface. I didn't like it. I really loved the older series of Apogee as well. I know it might mean nothing to other people but for me, i like working with nice designs (as long as it is functional and of course of good quality). The Apollo has everything of that and even more. Also they have lots of good plugins and i will merge it with a 19" rack version later on. For now, i have more than enough ins and outs so i'm good there. And the free plugins give me more than enough for what i need right now. I don't really use it that much because i don't need guitar/singing plugins. I need more of the outputs and i only need some synthesizers 🙂I hope this helps a bit. I really hope you can choose. I know it's not an easy task! Just know that which ever you choose, they are both great devices!

    Nope the best you can buy for your iPad is the RME UFX plus. Absolutely the BEST Drivers-Durec multitrack recording to usb stick- crazy amount of ins and outs- iOS compatible for iPads-Totalmix-is an actual mixer in software latency free, to much to list. Clocking-unbeaten- it’s simply the best out there now. Pc-Mac-iOS...on board dsp-eq-compression-reverb-delay- for all headphones talent mixes or for tracking..or both. Oh did I mention over 100 channel’s possible..not that you need em. But just saying. And latency with usb 3- well I’m running an i7 quad core pc-with 64 buffers-and many tracks-vests-plugins-not even a hiccup. It also runs at 32 buffers.

    cool review but please edit the text transcription - e.g. DACs ist NOT supposed to be auto-transcribed as DEX here... might be off-putting for the hearing impaired.

    My one major problem with it is the i/o
    I need to be able to do atmos level surround processing, but they only put a toslink on it, meaning it can only do 7.1, and you need basically an amp to connect it to, meaning non-powered monitors.
    This forces me to look at the apogee symphony mkII, instead.

    At a good price what microphone would be great for recording vocals that give industry quality sound.

    It works with iPad because it’s class compliant, not because it has an USB C port, slight difference

    Could you test the Windows compatibility? I really want one but they’re made for Mac. I do have a Mac but I primarily record on a Windows desktop

    If UAD makes iOS software to control their Apollos, game over especially if the arrow is bus powered. Only a handful of people need this amount of power on the go. I know Apple and Apogee sleep together but UAD could compete very strongly here.
