    For anyone shopping for this case today, there are a couple things different now compared to the one Jay has. First, the mesh holes have been modified to allow more airflow and second, the drive cage is removable with 4 Phillips screws.

    • @mozametweakin
      @mozametweakin Рік тому

      @@-offline If it isn't too late, I'd say to look at the pictures if there is one of the back that shows the drive cage. You can see in the video at 8:34 that the screws in the cage aren't removable by phillips, so look at the pictures to see if there are 4 phillips. Keep in mind this is assuming the picture is updated too. Also, if it matters that much to you, than you could ship it back if there is a warranty on it (Also I think that they made the changes a long time ago, so the one that you get would have to be pretty dang old to get the older version one)

Nothing is ever perfect, but seeing what would get the closest to the ideal dream case as a long-term builder with all the cases you've seen and done, and as a familiar UA-camr would just be so cool to see. I nearly bought the Mini instead of the XL when the regular O11 was sold out. I really wanted to fit a 360 AIO, and plan to have a custom loop with two 360 rads in the future, however. Since the XL was basically the same price at the time, my decision was easy.
    I think Lian-Li should be using the SL120 fans in their cases. Those things are awesome. I replaced all the fans that came with my Cooler Master 360 AIO and the 3 case fans with them and they are so quiet! Even at max RPM, their sound is comfortable just a foot a way from me!

    The mini air is a decent change to the og mini. My only issue with the (normal) mini was that it took an sfx psu, but I went with it anyway. I transplanted my build in a bequiet darkbase pro 900 to it, after swapping out the PSU, and swapping to nvme m.2 drives (vs non-m.2 sata).

    The micro atx mode having a 5 slot backplate is epic. It means you can put a gpu in the bottom slot of the motherboard. (dual slot cooler obviously)

    Yes i am using it, it is great, watercooling setup, push-pull radiator setup at the back, 360 radioator at the bottom with fans and 3 fans at the top, lots of air flow and no noise, but my PSU is a SFX and when i game a get that sweet PSU overload noise, so going for a new PSU at one point.

    I'm using the non air one, and it's was a blast to build in. Everything is accessible. One takeaway the case industry needs to follow from this is the modular back panel. It's a great feature that negates the radiator spacing problems. 360 aio fits just nice, and I have 3 120 fans at the bottom.

      I also have the 011mini in snow white and a 360 fits on the bottom. Its kinda sad it doesn't fit on the mini air because i though about making an all black build with corsair rigid black tubes and gold fittings.

    I did 360/360/280 S-ATX in one of these. Had to deshroud mobo I/O and use custom 90° EPS cables. If you plan on doing triple rad S-ATX be sure to order a 3rd party case specific offset bracket.
    Complete build weighs 47.4lbs.

    Running the O11 Mini standard, with the window in the front. Air cooled with a ATX B450-F MSI board, 2600X, 5700XT, 32gb 3200 DDR4 (running 2800 because the board can't handle 3200 w/ 32gb). AMD Wraith Prism on the CPU, 3 Unifan 120s on the bottom for intake, 3 Unifan 120s on top for exhaust, and 2 Unifan 140s on the side doing intake as well. It's quiet and cool. It's not the airflow case, but it still gets plenty and I can't really think of any drawbacks, other than requiring a SFF PSU. The standard O11Mini has the PSU on top with the HDD cage on bottom, the reverse of what yours has.

    I bought the original 011 D Mini when it first came out. My son has the full sized 011 D. I really like the smaller size of the mini as it fits on the desk without overwhelming it. However, I wished they had kept the usb ports and power button on the front, on top they are inconvenient to use with the computer on a desk.
    I recently added a custom loop. ATX mb, 2- 240 rads, cpu and gpu blocks. Yeah it is kind of tight getting everything to fit. (I now understand why it takes you so long to finish some builds. I kept running into problems and kept ordering more fittings to solve. Added a month to the build time.)
    What surprises me the most is how different the 011 D Mini Air case is from the original 011 D Mini, while looking the same. Now takes an ATX ps vs SFX ps on original. The back was convertible based on the mb size, now it comes one size fits all. I could fit a 360 rad on the bottom vs you say it won't fit.

    If i went down the bling route instead of the SFF route when building my pc a couple months ago, I probably would have bought this case. But I'm still stoked on my Ncase M1! A 5900x and a 3080ti in 12.6 L makes me happy!

    Nice case, looks like LIan-Li listened to its customers (yet again) and gave this case support for an ATX PSU (something all of us own) which is great! I own the O11-XL love Lian Li cases!!! If Jay only sold the J2C case which i know would be the perfect case that would be nice to look at. Maybe Jay on a lark can make a case from scratch and show some off his mod skills.....

    I think the frontside fan sleds are set up as singles rather than a double is so that if you need to replace a fan you can just remove the single sled and fan, rather than essentially having to pull your entire rad/fan assembly completely apart.

Although after seeing the temps on my thermaltake p3 with just a 360 aio push/pull i wouldnt switch to any other case. Idle 20c cpu 33c GPU and max stress test is 68 CPU and 50 GPU :)

    Thanks for the vid JTC, just completed a Asus Z690-G / 12600K air cooled only build with this case and I'm very happy with it, especially the cooling options. Went with 2 Noctua 140's front intake, 3 Noctua 120's (2 top + 1 rear) exhaust and put the supplied Lian Li 140's as bottom intakes. Barely seen CPU (with Noctua NH-U12A) and 3080 FTW Ultra hit 55c (Went full Chromax so the 3080 is the only bit of RGB puke), also according to Samsung Magician, my 980 Pro's barely hit 35c, so happy all round. Would like to see a vid with you seeing how many Rads you can get in with rigid tubing and seeing what temps you can get 🙂.

    Hey Jay, I picked up the standard O11-mini the day it became available. Currently running an Asus ROG Zenith II Extreme sporting a 3960X with 64gb of 3200 ram. The interesting part is I have a XSPC TX360 Ultrathin Radiator mounted to the top with 3 NF-A12 x 25s exhausting with a 240mm Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 X-Flow also exhausting out the side. There are 3 NF-A12x15s as uplift fans at the bottom pulling air in. With all of that I still have a 3070 FE vertically mounted using the Phanteks GPU Bracket sporting the EK-Quantum Vector FE block and an EK-Quantum Kinetic FLT 240 DDC pump res combo.
    Wish I could add images because man, this setup fills the case.

  • @PlasmoX
    @PlasmoX 2 роки тому

    that seems like a different version. I don't know if the full tempered glass version has been updated to follow something similar. But the one i have, the drive sled is completely removeable. It trades places with where the sfx psu slot, and thus sits on the top instead of the bottom.
    I really like this case. I got one myself because it fits my needs perfectly. But I can see how it would fit anyone's setup, as it's highly configurable to many different configs.

    But either way, I hate that they made the "mini" bigger than the previous one. I was honestly hoping for smaller.

    I have the regular o11 mini the only drawback is it does require a SFX pws. So the air is different. The regular mini you can remove the HD cage. So there is some give and take but I love this case. I mean I have nothing crazy just a 3950x with an EK 280 aio, but it all fits and works great.

      The non air case is the one I purchased and I can see at least in my opinion was designed a bit better, although it does not fit a full atx power supply. the power supply and drive caddys are switched, which means you can remove the power supply to service the back of the board instead of removing the entire board which to me seems a bit ridiculous.
