Rick, can you expand on why you chose this upgrade? What were you trying to see or access that you couldn’t already view?

Mainly to read, if any Fault Codes, It also stores a Fault History, it has a Fuel Management page that you can set up and monitor your live time conumption, I have seen many fuel gauges that are not very accurate. If you want to see you WOT Speed and RPM readings on the Smartcraft gauge I find it very difficult to read that at high speeds. This will store your High RMP. Some folks like a Maintence Log it has that too. The module has a new Performance Page as well, you can also check your HOLESHOT take off...lol.... There is a few new other features in the App.

I did this a couple years ago when I repowered my 2000 518vx. I zip tied my module to a wiring harness under the helm, that way it's out of the way and I have no problems with connectivity.

I had to buy one and install it as I did, there was no Junction Box to be found. Than I didn't see any videos to show this type of install. Hopefully this will help out some folks.
      Thanks, Rick!

Hey Rick great video! One question. When you talked about removing that pigtail jumper wire at 1:25 , do both sides that are now unplugged get plugged into the Junction box? You talked about the main harness plugging into it, but does that other unplugged end that was also connected to that jumper you removed, get plugged into the junction box as well?

In total there are four ports on the J-Box, and Yes both ends get pluged in, the blue data cable from the ENGINE gets pluged into the BACK (rear) in one port), next port over same end (rear) add a Termination Plug. Than FRONT side of J-Box as you see in the video, plug in the Smartcraft Harness and the New Vessel View Harness in side by-side. Then you should be good to go. Hope this helps you let me know, and Thank You!
