ah yes he crown jewel of compositions, this song is an achievement in music history. An honor to solo over this. And thank you a beginner trying to make sense of triads and CAGED these help a lot Of course it's super fun to stay in pentatonic but adding a little flavour makes it that much better
I broke thru. This is exactly what I needed to understand what is going on with music all these years. yes...you can stay with pentatonic but why not learn the triads and change with the chords! This is why I love Jazz but struggle with it. no why they change scales with each beat but they know the general scale and go from there within the measure up a semitone and down a semitone. You have enlightened my playing and my mind. please keep these changing scale video coming although this one will last me months. Thanks so much!
You made my day man. I'm glad this is working for you! I always tell my students that lead guitar is basically rhythm guitar, with more notes. If you can play the chords in any area on the neck, you then have the tools to play a great lead too.
Damn this is fun. The charts do make all the difference when it comes to not having to actually think up whatever changes are coming. Sure, this is a skill you have to develop if you want to be actually able to play anything interesting, but damn, jut using the charts once in a while makes it so effortless...
Dude your channels bad fucking ass. I've used backing tracks for a long ass time, how have I never found this channel? Thanks for all the great content man.
AMAZING track! And even better if you play the triads! Thanks a lot for your tracks, they are super fun and help understand the fretboard better! Keep it up man!!!
I don't know if somebody had already pointed it, but during the verses it's shown G minor instead of G# minor. It may confuse those who are not good with harmony theory. The Backing is fucking awesome anyway! Congrats!
"A nice heavy overdrive with a long delay will sound great too." That's great, you should give this kind of tip more often on your track videos ! I know, tone and effects are a matter of taste, but I'm interested to know what are your preferences (also what pickup do you use, neck or bridge, single-coil or humbucker, etc.)
Yooooo neck and middle pickup heavy distortion tons of reverb and a delay that goes till you barley hear the 7th time then sort of improv your own version of comfortably numbs second solo on this track it’s so fun
you are right. There is a very slight pass through the C# harmonic minor , then C# Mixolydian (very brief) then back to C# minor (that is when the G# becomes major and then the C# also goes major)
Can sb please give me a link to a good lesson (video, ultimate guitar etc.) of these modal changes and playing over chords? I have never fully understood it and me and my playing are just desperate to learn this stuff :)
huh, You can never tell with text but, you sound mad. It’s just a representation of scales on the neck. They change with the harmony. This one is not an easy one I’ll admit.
I mean, I guess you could put them in at the beginning, they are still annoying I know. The problem is, people expect things for “free” now, and they don’t want to support content creators. It has to be one or the other unfortunately, because as you know nobody works for free!

Is there a way to find specific jam tracks on your bandcamp site, given that a lot of these have different titles? Thanks!
I wish I could make my guitar talk, sing and cry the way he made his guitar do on the first solo live in gdsank...
practice practice practice...
That change to E Major is powerful
+Chris E I couldn't agree with you more!
I don't even play guitar, I just love listening to this
nice!

Damn I love the Internet. This kind of personal insight would have been much harder for many of us in the dark days of the 80s and 90s! Kudos, dude.
Mad appreciate this one man. It just pulls emotion out of your playing. Thank you. 🙏🏾
Thanks for checking it out!

That’s the idea! Thanks for jamming! 🎸💥🎸
Echoes is my fav floyd song, thank you so much!
+yorgh Enjoy!
very nice
I'v been learning my triad shapes (boring) but this really helped me incorporate them into my playing! Thank you so much for your hard work!
Thanks for shredding!
Very powerful track :)
The guitar doesn't easily lend it's visuals to understanding WTF is going on like the piano. I really need these visuals with the scales
your videos make me so happy
Thanks Luke!

+Gehna Zinc Good idea! Thanks for the request!

+MrKifkif92 Glad to hear it man!
Another favourite jam track...Another one, as Dj Khaled said :)) Keep it up bro,!
I don't know if somebody had already pointed it, but during the verses it's shown G minor instead of G# minor. It may confuse those who are not good with harmony theory.
The Backing is fucking awesome anyway! Congrats!
Yeah, I used to have a note about that and then UA-cam discontinued that feature! Thanks for looking out!
BRAVO Sir!
your backing tracks are the shit. Thank you for putting the time in to make so many of these.
"A nice heavy overdrive with a long delay will sound great too."
That's great, you should give this kind of tip more often on your track videos !
I know, tone and effects are a matter of taste, but I'm interested to know what are your preferences (also what pickup do you use, neck or bridge, single-coil or humbucker, etc.)
Hey David, thank you so much for the comment and I will do it more often!
Yooooo neck and middle pickup heavy distortion tons of reverb and a delay that goes till you barley hear the 7th time then sort of improv your own version of comfortably numbs second solo on this track it’s so fun
thanks for helping get out the 4 fret box bro :)
+Joey Daigle You're welcome. There's nothing to fear but fear itself!

great track, the ad in the middle of it pissed me off though
Whoooooooa - add in the middle? I need to have a look at that. Thanks for letting me know
I fixed that, thank you so much for letting me know
Fuck yeah!
so the g# major triad there is some harmonic minor there?
what symbols point at to triads here on the video? I can't follow! I meas as far as chords I get it, but the triads?
Hello and thanks for the backing track ! I think there is a mistake on the G minor, it's a G # minor
Thanks man, yeah someday maybe I’ll have the money to hire an editor! Lol
@@nowyoushred lol ! ^^
How can I buy this off you with all the seperate stems? Thanks. Do you have the stems in midi?
I don’t think this one is available unfortunately for copyright reasons
@@nowyoushred okay. Thanks for getting back!
I love this song! Anyone have any idea from a music theory perspective what is going on here? Lol. Is this one of the modes in harmonic minor?
you are right. There is a very slight pass through the C# harmonic minor , then C# Mixolydian (very brief) then back to C# minor (that is when the G# becomes major and then the C# also goes major)
@@phildrag What about that C major and the whole chromatic rundown? What's the deal with that?
Can i use A mayor pentatonic over this chords, i currently play it and for me sound good
Can sb please give me a link to a good lesson (video, ultimate guitar etc.) of these modal changes and playing over chords? I have never fully understood it and me and my playing are just desperate to learn this stuff :)
I'm gonna make some some day soon - stay tuned!
This is the motherfuckin cheese
That’s good right?
@@nowyoushred definitely
Would not the tone of echoes be B major ?
damn any way u could tell me what chords these are i play piano and have no idea how to read this
If you follow the link to bandcamp there is a chart included with that one I believe
I’ve been playing and studying guitar for over 30 years and I have no idea of what the fuck I’m looking at here
huh, You can never tell with text but, you sound mad. It’s just a representation of scales on the neck. They change with the harmony. This one is not an easy one I’ll admit.
охуеть не встать, спасибо огромнейшее!!!!
Damn, I don't read cyrillic!
G# - A in 0:49
Forget the A major
Yeah, I was just trying to give a basic outline. Not the exact granular information
@@nowyoushred it's so beautiful. Congratulations and thanks for share it
i've always found stronger progressions easier to play over: soundcloud.com/mathewos-samson/echoes-improv
this track is probably my favorite of yours
Yeah man! Sounds great, thanks for posting!
Don't make the part of Solo!, for guitar is complicated, :(
where is funky part :P
I thought the same :(
Shame about the G# getting labelled a G quite often
Yeah, I wish I could hire an editor - this stuff takes so much time, I sometimes I don't catch everything... I hope it doesn't screw you up too much!

2 commercials in the middle of the jam? Not cool
Whoa whoa woah... lemme check out what’s up here...
Thanks for letting me know!
there's no *FUCKING* way to put the ads in a *FUCKING* backing track. You Tube sucks
