I love Goldwings, my dad had one for 30 years, ( bought it new in '83) never had any problems with it. Gave it to my older brother who had it until he passed. Cant wait to get my own....
Although this is not the sort of thing most Wing owners would ever be concerned about, it's interesting to see what the big lady can do when pushed. Owning a 2003 model myself, I know it's one powerful bike that is often overlooked when comparing bikes. It has the raw power of a 6 cylinder engine and the smoothness and comfort of a car but make no mistake, it also is every bit a fine handling motorcycle on the twisties. One of the best kept secrets in the bike world....
my grandfather just passed. he had a 86 goldwing interstate when i was a kid. used to poker rrun all over southeast states. loved it!

Jack De Haan Gloves? I only wear them when it's cold. Gloves interfere with your driving experience. Don't know why you'd ever wear them on a nice day.

Two Brothers Exhaust sounded really good . Fast barn door . Very powerful bikes are the " Wings " .
Smooth , comfortable , reliable and handle MUCH better than you think .
Don’t know why so many gold wing haters, jealous I’m sure, I don’t own one but I got to ride one cross country and you can really enjoy the ride long distance it’s so comfortable, wish I could afford one.

Goodness that’s a complicated dash. Interesting sound compared to my Harley. More a whine than a roar. Sounds like a small aircraft ready for takeoff. :-)

Such a beautiful bike, I love long trips but there's not much room in the bags. I saw a beautiful red and black 21 at the dealership today and I would love to have this bike in my fleet. I'm not one for having a loud exhaust system so I wouldn't change the exhaust system. I've had more than my share of Honda's both street touring and woods bike's. I feel that Honda is the mostreliable and comfortable bike out there.

Those Two Brothers at 1:12 win hands down for me. What a sound when it was held at about 4000rpm! - all it needed was the sound of a Jake Brake on the climb down.

Meh, it'll be fine. 6000 rpm is likely way below the stress limit for this engine; its cylinders are only 300cc, after all.
Dislike that whine from the stocks but the Cobras made it sound pretty good and got rid of the "zzzzizzzz" whine.
That whine alone would put me off buying one (it sounds like a Suzy 250!)

....why would you put a loud exhaust on a touring motorcycle. lets not even get into the burnout....i did kinda like the boosted goldwing but his boost gauge might be busted
I think it didn't register because he never got it out of second gear. Turbos need a load to build pressure, and you only get that in higher gears. Even for heavy trucks, you're not going to get much of a load, and so not much boost pressure, till you get to a middle gear.

Burnouts on a Gold Wing and revving to the re-limiter... stupid and no respect for the machine!!! Why not get a Blackbird or something similar if you want to race 0-100, that was never the purpose of the Gold Wing.

Whew...remind me not to buy his Wing. Mine on the other hand will cruise all day at 180 kph and do so in maximum comfort; also carve the canyons with the best of the sport bikes, and is truly the most versatile motorcycle ever made. And it's still here 40 years later'; how many other vehicles can say the same thing...
