I just picked one up with an upgraded steering servo. Drove it around the sellers yard a bit and I'm quite impressed with the abilities of this little rig. Super slow...but that's why it's so easy to control in the technical stuff. The lights are quite impressive as well and with the short days we have now they are actually nice to have.
Looks like this RC is much more capable in the terrain it was designed for. I would like to get me one, one of these days, but it isn't a high priority. I've already got the TRX4 Bronco as well as a number of other RCs. I just bought 2 TRX4 Sports for my niece's for Christmas. They probably would be better crawling with the Losi but they also want a little bit of speed as well which the Losi doesn't have. Also the Losi isn't anything like what they would see on the street and I feel like that would deter them from using them. They have driven my Bronco and my brothers Tactical unit and they seem to like them and were actually good at driving them. If it wasn't for the fact that I don't think they'd drive the Losi because of the speed and the Rock buggy look of it, I would have got them the Losi instead. I really like the Losi products I've got and I know they are dependable but when it comes to kids and how they view things made me choose the TRX4. The Nightcrawler definitely looks like a sweet RC at under $300. The TRX4 Sports were $60 more each, and definitely won't be buying them kits any time soon. One is going to be 11 early 2020 and the other just turned 8.
iam sure you will make them happy with what you got them trail trucks and specific crawlers are totally different machines for sure.. i also have the trx4 tacticial and a redcat gen 8 i have been doing mods to they are awesome trucks and for what they can do they do it great .
Very undervalued crawler. I have one that competes with capra all day for almost half the price.
