    I recently sold mine, had it for around 2 years, replaced the servo & tyres. Weighted the wheels with extra beadlock rings. It was soo capable it got a bit boring tbh! I probably shouldn't have sold it. I agree about the aftermarket support though, but then it doesn't really need anything. Great to see one being used & abused. Cheers fella.

      Yeah it’s a little surprising how good it is for the little attention it gets! I’m having fun with it and that’s all that really matters. Appreciate you commenting! Good to hear from others who have had good luck with it.

    Changing the rear upper links to the lowest mount hole on the chassis gives a huge boost to the incline ability. Also, both the battery tray and the shock mounts have a second mount hole to get it even lower without shorter shocks.

      Sweet! I’m going to dive into it soon hopefully so I’ll definitely make sure to make those changes to help it out. I just found out today that the lower links from my Capra will fit it as well. So I’ll be hooking it up with high clearance links soon hopefully also👌

    Yea man, I’m building my SE now, backdating it to it’s glory days 5-10 years ago. The history this rig has is actually pretty deep.
    They’ve redressed it now to ride the scale trend, hence why it looks as ugly as it does.
    The previous body is way better and much more fitting of what it was originally designed as.
    Underneath it’s a thoroughbred comp crawler.
    Also, it was designed around larger wheels than this.
    InTheWorksRC does awesome links for it too.
    The aftermarket is there, just need to dig a little. And Losi stocks good qty of replacement stuff
    PLEASE build this thing with all the advice in the community comments here, and film along... I just subscribed ;)

    @seth3000gt Рік тому +3

    I don't know man. 300 bucks and it's ready to go, and can beat a Capra? No need for aftermarket. It's already built..so what I'm thinking is for 300 bucks, what beats it??? Even 350? What beats it? A Capra is 500 plus. And that's before upgrades. I just ordered my second Night Crawler and I'm telling you, they can't be beat. And as far as upgrades for it? There are tons. You can upgrade almost anything on it, just like a Capra. Shocks, links, servo, wheels/tires, electronics, body. What else would you want to modify?? You could probably bolt on axles too...if you wanted to.
    It isn't really a "Scale" crawler. It's a straight up crawler. It is awesome.
    And please, if you know of anything that can keep up with it for 350 bucks or less, let me know, heck, even 400 bucks.

    • @2fmrc
      @2fmrc  Рік тому

      Well they did have the 4ws Capra on sale for $375 during Black Friday so I would have to go with that. Overdrive is an upgrade that just isn’t offered at all for these losi trucks & that kinda stinks. No worm gear axles make the Capra way more capable. Portals are nice also. Wheel speed is a major issue with this thing. Don’t get me wrong I think it’s great for what it is but the entire reason I sold mine was it just couldn’t keep up on the real tough stuff that needed that extra wheel speed. If there was more aftermarket for it then it would be an absolute beast!

      @rab.. 2 роки тому

      Nope , you're kinda comparing apples and oranges putting this up against a TRX 4. This has worm drive gears for smoother low speed comp style crawling and as a dedicated entry level crawler the diffs are fully locked with a single speed gearbox . The TRX 4 is more of a scale trail crawler with all the bells and whistles and the price tag to match it's remote locking diffs and 2 speed gearbox.

    Do not buy this crawler!!! I got mine out of the box literally played with it indoors for five minutes and the drive shaft fell out and I lost a very small piece. I tried to talk to Losi about it they didn't want anything to do with it. Their quality control is garbage. Go with Traxxas or with a red cat Everest. You'll get your money's worth out of them. Losi's customer service is crap.
