@@thelwbs12 he did it once in this game but it seems you can just regrab in the middle of stage and handoff on the sides, is that a shiek only thing at like low percents? can kind of do a 0-death anywhere on the stage with a grab because of this, ofc its much harder tho.
@@homeyworkey Shiek only thing, ICs have a chaingrab at low percents on sheik, so it's like possible to get 0-death but I don't think it's super probable unless you're on the smaller stages because the distance to ledge from middle is smaller

So at the top level, it's effectively Shiek-only. Notably, Shiek has chaingrabs on most characters in the game, but the only *top tier* character she has a chaingrab on is... another Sheik, lmao. Regarding your question on percents, IC's can chaingrab Sheik until around 50% (which is why Slug switched from chaingrabs to handoffs on Jmook when he passed that threshold in this match). It technically can be converted into a 0-death, but not *anywhere* on the stage. In order for it to be a 0-death, the IC player needs to have moved the Sheik at least somewhat close to the edge before the 50% threshold, otherwise the handoffs will fail. The Sheik can fight against this by DI-ing during the chaingrab. I think Jmook succeeded in escaping it at 2 points in this match.

He arguably has the greatest longevity of any player in Melee history - 20 years of near-continual competitive play. To go that whole time NEVER losing to a top tier character is absolutely insane. Regarding M2K specifically, one of the funniest sets I've seen involved ChuDat and M2K where M2K started with Marth before deciding to counterpick Chu's IC with... *Ganon*. To which Chu counterpicked to *Fox*. Straight up one of the wackiest series of character counterpicks I've ever seen.

Desync combos aren’t as good (Nana can’t grab) and setups are different, but it’s still pretty good
