Anneke is probably one of the most naturally talented frontwoman/man of any band ever. Her energy is beyond infectious, you can hear her happiness in her singing, you can see it in her dancing. The music might be melancholy but Anneke is a radiating light of happiness on stage. Absolutely breathtaking.
Didn't even know it was possible to create a professional looking bootleg, with a couple of home use camera's and probably A LOT of time. I'm very grateful to all that contributed.
I really appreciate the effort done on color correction! I guess the parts in black and white couldn't be restored to correct colors and it was clever to use B&W cut for those parts. If I understand correctly, the audio has been taken directly from official live album release which explains the superior audio quality when compared to any average bootleg.
With enough footage to chose from you can throw away all the bad parts and actually chose the best shots. I have edited (other!) liveshows: first task is to not use the crappy parts. ;-)

Not to take anything away from how beautiful the performance of the opening track is, but imagine getting Floor, Tarja, and Anette all on stage for a Nightwish reunion like this...
Anette really doesn't have anything to give with Tarja and Floor. They're way out of her league. Anette is a mediocre pop singer. She would just sound really, really bad and out of place.

Ps. This band during the period that they were creating magic together with Anneke van Giersbergen are a phenomenon. Where are the academics to write articles about them for journals? Where are the documentary makers to make a serious documentary? I would suggest an in-depth study of Anneke's final World Tour with The Gathering before she went solo. They are, at least, as important in musical and cultural history as The Beatles and (name your favorite poet.)
Anneke still singing all those notes so easly. This band is a combo of gifted instrumentalists and one of a kind voice of hers. Need to metion Marike, shes a hidden gem also (this note at 39:20 ).
Such wonderful dedication to a band that has created some of the darkest and most touching harmonies ever recorded, be it metal or electronic. Watching Nightime Birds with all four vocalists brings tears to my eyes, no matter how much metal I am and have ever been, the emotions just flow as The Gathering falls down, together with me.
Darkest? I find nothing dark about Anneke or the band. They are pure joy and genius. It is music to make think, and jump up and down, while you are thinking.
In this concert you can find her in several songs: "Saturnine", "Nighttime birds", "King for a day", "In Motion #1", "Travel" and "I Can See four miles". She also does all the female vocals on the Gathering's debut album "...Always" (1992). But if you really wanna listen to a song where she takes the lead vocals I recomend you to check out her project TULLY MONSTER, I personally love their song "White Fish".

Had a wonderful evening watching this almost 10 years after the concert. I could clearly identify myself in the front row (evening show, Anneke is in black dress), that brought tears to my eyes and made the experience even more transcendental. I am OBSESSED with Anneke, never quite had any interest in other TG phases. Marike is an outstanding vocalist, im so sorry for never giving her a chance. Silje has a lovely voice too, plus she sounds exactly the same as in recordings.

Every time watching this live concert my soul is caressed. Music as an emotional art form. Big compliment to the creators of this video. Silje is fantastic, but I love Anneke's voice and she is mesmerizing on stage.

I badly wanted to go to this and so very nearly did but the trip from my home in Australia made it basically impossible. I hoped that it would be released on DVD and I didn’t know this existed on UA-cam until now. I don’t know how it was put together and it looks exquisite. THANK YOU !!!

Daniel Andersson she has improved a lot since then. She’s in a band called A Dark Element and she sounds great.

Had a wonderful evening watching this almost 10 years after the concert. I could clearly identify myself in the front row (evening show, Anneke is in black dress), that brought tears to my eyes and made the experience even more transcendental. One of the most fantastic shows I've been to. BIG thank you for editing this video!

I am OBSESSED with Anneke, never quite had any interest in other TG phases. Marike is an outstanding vocalist, im so sorry for never giving her a chance. Silje has a lovely voice too, plus she sounds exactly the same as in recordings.

Every time watching this live concert my soul is caressed. Music as an emotional art form. Big compliment to the creators of this video. Silje is fantastic, but I love Anneke's voice and she is mesmerizing on stage.
