My honest thoughts on the two latest Mugler flankers for Alien and Alien Man. Alien Mirage and Alien Man Mirage are flankers to fragrances that were originally launched in 2005 for Alien and 2018 for Alien Man. So what do I think about these two fragrances? Alien Mirage edt my favorite flanker! Underrated gem 💎
I used to love Mugler. I feel Loreal is the death knell for so many companies I used to enjoy. Sad.
The reason the women’s perfume costs more is the ridiculous “pink tax”, that companies will arbitrarily charge more for a product geared to women compared to the same product for men. Makes me definitely not want to buy it. 😑
Yet women earn less compared to men....
But we never complain when it's the other way around with pretty much everything else, look at men's clothing and footwear sportswear always more expensive the men's than the women's
Unfortunately this mirage wasn't a welcome sight 😵
Interesting to hear your thoughts on it. I tried it and found it pleasant but passable. I'm sure it'll be a hit for some and if it does then I'm glad people have something they enjoy ☺
The disappointment was real .. the scent is just sweet. I managed to get some samples 3 weeks ago. Was only impressed with the longevity just too sweet. In the opening it reminds me of invictus legend and Azzaro wanted by night. The only muglers I like are pure Havane, malt and tonka
Thank you for your honest opinion. I would like to ask you to make a long video about the note "Rose". In my collection I have Bulgarian rose otto, Bulgarian Rose absolute, Rose Co2 extrait, turkish rose and one from Grasse. They are amazing and expensive, so I am sure, you can surprise us with a top 20 list.

I think the only way to save this line is to launch Alien Man EDP with jasmine, redesign the bottle (add more metal elements to it) and make it a new pillar. Otherwise this line would be discounted soon.
After Ultra Zest Mugler is in dowfall. Pure Tonka is ok, but Krypromint and Ultimate are redundancies of their previous owns. I'm happy they don't play with jasmin in the Alien Man line, but sad about tuberose or rose. The house used to be brave and bold, they should release Pure Floral, Pure Fruit Basket, Pure Gothic and so on. I suspect they are focusing their upper line nowadays.

Haven't bought any Mugler yet, but for this Summer I want to try the Mugler Cologne. Have smelled it and I like it's soapy profile. Haven't smelled Pure Havane or Pure Malt yet, but would like to try them, probably will blind-buy them in the future. Have smelled some Alien ones in stores but nothing interesting for me in them really.
I love Mugler. Years back I had a bottle of Alien but unfortunately someone stole it from my house and I haven’t forgotten about it since then.
Yep. I'd love to say Man Mirage is on par, but it's more like a double bogey. By this time, it would be a SHOCKER if Mugler produced the next trend setter like Sauvage. Partial forgiveness if they retain the A*Men line and produce another decent flanker, like Pure Iris in a purple bottle (unlikely since orris is expensive), or maybe Pure Amber in dark orange... But that would be a Pure miracle.
Hmmm I really enjoyed Fusion for what it is, the coffee and osmanthus in it is really interesting, wouldn't need more than a 5ml for life but I enjoyed it, didn't think it should have been released under the Alien name. Mirage sounds disappointing though.

Ya know, I think it’s hard to make Alien flankers without making them more pungent like absolue, liqueur, taste of fragrance. But since it’s hard to make EDTs of Alien, I’m worried that it’s going to be discontinued. Nervous.

Well, I already told you yesterday I LOVE Angel Muse. I bought Angel, to try to learn to love it but it’s too weird and it’s missing the orange note I love. Maybe one day I will love it though. I still don’t even know Alien but I do love Womanity. What an amazing, softly ethereal scent. I don’t think I will want these Alien flankers- maybe original Alien one day though:-)
Completely agree with you Mugler alien men mirage is very disappointing the woman’s fragrance is actually good luckily I got a sample of both. I also agree with you with the latest A men line hasn’t been exciting with the newer releases they need to make more bold and unique fragrances like pure malt pure havane and pure tonka. Hope mugler changes things around. Thank you once again for a great review 👍
