Haru is my fav of the ladies. Bassist Miho is my second. These ladies really bring it. I think MDO live that I have is from the Zepp show, but not sure.
The big four thrash pieces by Ladies are Thunder Vengeance, Hammer of Wrath, Break the Wall and M.D.O. But in this case this is amazing power metal glorious song. GREAT.
Although Miho tends to get less time out in front than the rest, she shines behind the scenes, since she is the band leader. She also pulls off some amazing bass runs, mirroring the guitar runs in this song!
I remember the phenomenon that was Loudness when they hit the U.S. I think out of the Female Asian metal bands (Baby Metal, Band Maid) to name 2 I like her vocals the best her voice isn't a squeaky cartoon anime voice it's strong with great range.
I said this many times : Asami is an amazing singer , midori and miyako guitars are world top class but all the percussion section with miho on bass and haruna on drumms are the glue who keeps everything fixed , they are world class too but many times the only focus is on guitars . 👍🤘🤘
Top Guitar Duos? Hmm. What immediately comes to mind is Midori and Miyako (of course!), Murray and Smith (Iron Maiden); Tipton and Downing (Priest); Li and Totman (Dragonforce); and Weikath and Hansen (Helloween). I would add honorable mentions to Hetfield and Hammet, but that's more 70/30 Hammet, than 50/50; as well as the Kami Band duos, which I didn't include Top 5, mainly because there is so much switching of members that Ohmura is really the only consistent member in those duos.
I have been waiting forever for you guys to do this new song by Lovebites for freaking ever bwhahahahahaha, anyway it is a 4 song EP with "Winds of Transylvania" added to it. It is already as of the 10 of this month, the entire freaking EP is fantastic and phenomenal and explosive just like all the rest, on their channel they have released the audio versions and I strongly suggest you check it out or go to Itunes, Spotify, pandora, to have a listen.0anyway this song was written and composed by Midori and Mao and the lyrics by Asami, Midori based on the visits she had to churches when she was in America and the UK, and uplifting and encouraging song over the darkness of the pandemic, it has very strong Christian and religious overtones which I so dang cool, A Christian rock song! What do you want to hear? Power metal, Thrash metal, prog-rock, or heavy metal. Top guitar duos? I think you have to go back to Clapton and Allman (Derek and the Dominoes) or Allman and Betts (Allman Bros.) to find a duo this good, and they didn't play metal. Or DiMeola/DeLucia, who were playing more jazz fusion. These girls give a lot of props to the classic metal bands (Maiden, Priest, Metallica etc.) but they've overtaken the masters, as it should be. Everything evolves, and this is the next level. Their only rival today may well be another Japanese band, Nemophila. Let's see what those girls come up with!

Play Aces High and then The Crusade, and you realize M&M are faster, cleaner and more melodic than Smith/Murray. It's almost sacrilege, but you can't miss it. And Haruna just blows away Nicko. Dickinson gets the nod on vocals, at least for me. Someday there will be a band that does it better than Lovebites, but they've set an incredibly high bar!
the vocal is perfect for me, its blend with the music (the accent is unique). If other singer with more growl or hard on voice to sing the LOVEBITES song, i think, i have to dismiss myself frm this band...
Guys great reaction and man I can't wait to see the double lead duos you are going to stack up against the M & M show, honestly this duo especially LIVE riffing, battling, shifting and harmonizing at these speed and up and down the board are going to be hard to top, but we will see!!! Song has Miyako and Miho's footprint as far as the music and arrangement is concerned and Asami did the lyrics with help no doubt. I thought they were in the same Church that Galneryus used for their Angel of Salvation ( ua-cam.com/video/nsi9HEmZl9Y/v-deo.html), their guitarist Syu is a master (does a lot of the old master pieces on the guitar) and he would be great to see going at with the M & M show. Anyway, the EP dropped on 3/10 and is getting great reviews (still waiting for my vinyl copy). The best description of this band whether they are LIVE, Studio or doing a MV like this is RELENTLESS PERFECTION. Wait till you do Edge of the World LIVE (ua-cam.com/video/FGRxXCDtRFA/v-deo.html) where the ladies show off all their talents, Miyako's piano intro, Midori's weeping guitar, Asami's bluesy vocals and then the backbone, Miho/bass and Harune/drums drive it through some of the best transitions you will ever hear and done flawlessly as always.
I disagree with the Asami vocals not marching with the song. This song was meant and 100% suitable for Asami’s elite top tier angelic voice. She’s one of the best if not thee BEST vocalists today in metal or any genre. Its called having range in all type of genre of rock/metal. The song is meant to be positive and uplifting due to the pandemic era. Not sure why her vocals would be out of touch or not sync with the band. This mini album released this week and this particular song was meant to truly show the Queen of metal vocalist talent shine and she’s proving everyone wrong with any stupid comments or negative on her vocals. Just imho.

Midori and Miyako are the best duo today, and I place them in the top 10 of the best in history, the chemistry between them is incredible.
