You see.when a youtuber joins a game with people who know him, the team gets the "youtuber effect" during this, the team has hightended senses, and will even work together more then the average team. Sometimes the youtuber effect goes to a point in which the team forgets about the objective and only protects the youtuber. this mainly causes the team to lose. the first one is the most effective, and only happens with youtubers between 250K likes and 750 K likes, the third version of this is in which the players will LITTERALLY not play the game, but instead admire the youtuber and the youtuber only, Usually distracting them making a loss almost defienite, this usually happens with youtubers with 5 mil, to 10 mil subs, or larger. Note- these reactions can happen with ANY sub count, however it is more likely within there range.

Heck, I become toxic too, but it's more like I whine a lot. If I got a ton of eliminations and did great work, then lose, I tend to blame my team very much (as Zarya or otherwise). So yeah, it's true that Zarya players tend to complain a lot to their teams. I really like your mentality, Zylbrad. It's a breath of fresh air, and it makes me feel better about competitive too! :)

I think I have to give up on this season. I am gold and was put as 2250sr start. Played with a friend and lost 11 games straight over a week or so. Now I'm struggling to get back into 2100 and people keep leaving/being toxic.
I believe you have entered what we like to call, elo hell. I have a lot of friends I enjoy playing with but they're not... competative material and thusly get me nuked in terms of score (my career high is at 2.7k while I struggle to get past 2.5k sometimes)
the sad state is that once you are in silver you will never get out unless you somehow find 5 other silver players in the same boat. reason is the silver skill level contains too many random factors. example is team comp is lost on most silver players so when you land there when you come up against a team that luckily put together a better comp will likely beat you and this happens less at high levels because ppl switch to adjust for comp more, thus higher levels more accurately match ppl than lower levels. it's just a fact and why i vote for no matchmaking at all. if anything it would at least force ppl to lfg sites and group up and communicate

Story time: I was on quick play around 1:30 am practicing Ana. It was on Nepal where Lucio is better but I didn't care. Then this dude plays music really loud into his mic for around 10 seconds and stops. I say thank you. His friend is all like "who said that?" And he replies "It's the Ana player who just turned their mic back off lol who plays Ana anyway she is shit" and I'm like oh god and they proceed to do nothing but be mean to me by saying I'm worthless and say my voice sounds like I'm fat and have no friends in real life so I'm trying to make some on PS4 (which is untrue). This continues and I land a sleep dart on a Mei that the guy couldn't hit and then he goes "oh wow you may not be trash after all" and they continue to be mean to me for some reason and then mute me because I'm defending myself because I'm trying to practice on quick play. We won and I got a card for healing and they continue to make fun of me. Next game it's on Eichenwalde and he goes Dva and his friend goes sniper. (Oh yeah, they went Junkrat and Bastion on nepal to mock me going a "trash" character) anyway I land a sleep dart on him out of his mech and shoot, grenade, melee him and he dies. (Best Feeling ever) he proceeds to go hanzo and the pharah on the other team all of a sudden targets me the rest of the game only and I can't do anything because she was on my ass the rest of the game. I'm assuming they told the Pharah to kill me since they couldn't hit me. Lol anyways that's my story for the most toxic encounter I have ever had on overwatch. I wish I had gone Hanzo or Torbjorn on nepal and said "is this better?"
You can find some really shitty people on team chat and then you can find some really nice people. Its all about having a good attitude and communication. I try to always be in a good mood. Winning or loosing

Story time: I was on quick play around 1:30 am practicing Ana. It was on Nepal where Lucio is better but I didn't care. Then this dude plays music really loud into his mic for around 10 seconds and stops. I say thank you. His friend is all like "who said that?" And he replies "It's the Ana player who just turned their mic back off lol who plays Ana anyway she is shit" and I'm like oh god and they proceed to do nothing but be mean to me by saying I'm worthless and say my voice sounds like I'm fat and have no friends in real life so I'm trying to make some on PS4 (which is untrue). This continues and I land a sleep dart on a Mei that the guy couldn't hit and then he goes "oh wow you may not be trash after all" and they continue to be mean to me for some reason and then mute me because I'm defending myself because I'm trying to practice on quick play. We won and I got a card for healing and they continue to make fun of me. Next game it's on Eichenwalde and he goes Dva and his friend goes sniper. (Oh yeah, they went Junkrat and Bastion on nepal to mock me going a "trash" character) anyway I land a sleep dart on him out of his mech and shoot, grenade, melee him and he dies. (Best Feeling ever) he proceeds to go hanzo and the pharah on the other team all of a sudden targets me the rest of the game only and I can't do anything because she was on my ass the rest of the game. I'm assuming they told the Pharah to kill me since they couldn't hit me. Lol anyways that's my story for the most toxic encounter I have ever had on overwatch. I wish I had gone Hanzo or Torbjorn on nepal and said "is this better?"
You can find some really shitty people on team chat and then you can find some really nice people. Its all about having a good attitude and communication. I try to always be in a good mood. Winning or loosing
