Grain orientation on a small axe/hatchet is not as important as on a fulsize axe like you said. I would still like proper grain orientation, though. I guess i better add this one to my Amazon list as well😁

My other axe from them the Frostbreaker had pretty good wood grain orientation… I think there is some randomness to it

@ the frostbreaker was a bit better at chopping but the crafter was slightly better for more detailed work.
Looks good. Not a fan of the hump on the back at the head. Looks like it might be good at spoon making. Thanks for sharing Alex
@@MarkYoungBushcraft I sanded down that hump on the top of the handle and now it works much better for detailed tasks. The price on these is excellent
This is the same effective compared to my CRKT, the price is very good than mine
