I would have put the trim on the same side as the throttle so you can adjust the trim while still holding and feeling the stick in the hand that is normally on it. That is just how I like it, so I don't have to keep swaping hands on the stick more than I have to. It is your plane so your choice.
Good observation. My left side is kind of full with the large flaperon bar, so space is very limited, and on other planes I've flown the trim wheel is on right, so that's where it went. I got a few more things to mount inside too to still figure out. If you think of anything else, let me know. It's my first plane build, so I'm a real novice still. Thank you!
