Its a shame they are losing the farmland/open land on the edge of Del Webb and it's being replaced by warehouses, factories, etc... It's too bad the community doesn't have more of a buffer to preserve the country-like atmosphere of the area. I would think the properties near Dahmer drive are being negatively impacted by this development. It would have made more sense to isolate/locate these industrial/commercial properties to locations such as where the failed Huntley Factory Mall was formerly located. Different subject: Home Owners Association obligations/differences with townhome vs. single family home are worth noting. I hear townhome HOA is more expensive (like $350+/mo) because they cover all exterior aspects of home whereas, the single family owner is stuck with all the bills and the hoa ($150+) just covers amenities. The amount these fees could increase is also a concern (especially for fixed-income seniors) given increasing costs of insurance and maintenance of the community.
