It has touchscreen where it matters. Android auto and apple carplay has touchscreen. Stop complaining. You did n9t mention it was a hybrid

Ugh, I hate it when reviewers give incorrect information. The infotainment screen is touchscreen in Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you have to enable it in the settings.

Only the upper trims have the touchscreen capability, though. I have the Turbo premium and do not have it- have verified this with dealer and watched videos to make sure I was not missing anything.

We just took delivery of a turbo S premium and have taken it for a shakedown cruise. Here are my impressions. While the ride is stiffer than other offerings in the class, it definitely is not a huge difference. I agree that it makes you feel more connected, and is definitely noticeable in turns. A good thing imho. Heaviness of the steering was mentioned, and I disagree here. The thing I notice is it takes a bit more throw to turn. Not a problem. The seats are more firm than others, but on our recent trip of about 3 hr duration, I did not feel fatigued or sore from sitting that long in them. I do agree that the cargo space is a shortcoming. Our kids are long gone so we do not require that much space, but I am concerned about how it will handle hauling all the paraphernalia, aka junk I take while camping. Jury is still out on that one. We traded a 2016 pilot in for the CX 90, so I have been spoiled in the cargo category. On to the touchscreen debate. Definitely not a “deal breaker” for us. I prefer the multifunction knob over reaching for the screen while on the go hoping I’m hitting the right spot while going over bumps….there’s that suspension raising its head again I guess. The knob is intuitive and easy to use imho. One thing I have trouble with is the sensitivity of the functions on various switches on the steering wheel. The advance song and source are on the same toggle/ switch for example and often times I push accidentally when I want to toggle. Minor, and will just be a getting to know you thing. Another thing I notice is the facial recognition sometimes takes awhile to recognize me, and sometimes doesn’t and welcomes me as guest. A quick rotation of the center console knob and a click and my settings are inputted. Minor. One last good thing…..we got 30mpg on our trip.

Yup, MPG for this car is around that, 30 MPGs.

Definitely for those who prefer a sportier drive and a turbo I6. All of the German offerings have smaller interior volume versus the Domestics and economy brands; they make it up with performance…and it’s likely shops will be able to squeeze a lot more Hp with a simple software tune.

Clarification in Apple CarPlay, or android CarPlay. You do have touchscreen capabilities.

I purchased this over the other vehicles you mentioned because they didn't excite me like the Mazda. Plus, you see them everywhere. The CX-90 is a cool looking SUV, which is extremely fun to drive.
My biggest issue would be the storage space. Everything is shallow. I wouldn't recommend this vehicle if you're the type of person who keeps a lot of stuff in a vehicle. The other vehicles mentioned are better for young families. I've only had it for 2 weeks, but I'm enjoying it so far. I would recommend the digital rear view mirror, mud guards, and interior rubber mats. Buy the OEM SD after purchasing the vehicle. It's almost $500 from Mazda. The cargo cover is nice, but there's nowhere to store it if you need the third row.

Nice job comparing the Cx90 to the Honda Pilot, the most boring 3rd row SUV out there.

Just picked up a PP PHEV.. Totally agree the exterior and interior looks amazing, drivetrain has been smooth, plenty of power and EV mode is quiet.. but its definitely smaller space wise inside, and it feels smaller than my CX9.. for example, the cx9 floorliners couldnt fit because they were about 3" longer in length than the floor.... and the rear lacks the under floor storage and the side cubby holes that the CX9 had. I dont see how its supposed to be larger than the cx9...
Regards to touch screen, it is touch when using android auto or Apple carplay, and it works well.. even better, google maps directions are displayed on the HUD.

This car is not compared to the cars you mention. None of those cars you mention don't have mild hybrids

I have the turbo premium and do absolutely love it. However, it was a learning curve getting used to driving it. It does feel very jerky at times when going from a full stop to go. I have found some of this “jerkiness” decreases if I use premium fuel which I was trying to avoid, but can tell an obvious difference from regular unleaded so I buy it. I do love the sport mode. Also, my Apple CarPlay will randomly shut off at least one time during a driving trip. Not sure if this is related to my phone or the car itself. Overall, I would buy it again.

Listen to the fake engine noise that is pumped into cabin. 60k is ridiculous amount of money for Mazda mini van.

inline 6 turbo is very interesting. usually it's either a turbo 4 or a v6 in these SUVs. vw went to all turbo 4s for the atlas unfortunately. i have the turbo 4 in my 23' gti and it works well. i have a 23' atlas cross sport with the V6. i can't imagine it with the turbo 4.

George I see you drive these new cars some very expensive on terrible rock gravel roads that only kick up rocks and beautiful cars look terrible on these roads unless it’s a big 4x4 truck you’re reviewing but not luxury SUV’s or cars

The deal breaker for me on my next suv will be if it has a 2nd row bench seat on their highest trim or not. What Honda/Acura did with removal 2nd middle row for the Pilot and MDX is genius
