Constitutional carry is great, but also punishing states that are enforcing "assault weapon" bans is a better first step. Otherwise I'm worried those states will just keep infringing on peoples rights even if a constitutional carry law is passed. We need no exceptions 2A rights.
I do believe Trump was ill advised on bumpstocks and endorsing red flag laws by Wayne LaPierre. His kid tried to talk some sense into him though and he still went through with it. That worries me.
JD Vance literally said to defund the ATF. Trump 100% changed his mind on anti-gun legislation, and understands how unconstitutional it is. The bump stock ban just exposed all of it to everyone including Trump all at once.

What is suspicious of this whole deal, is the fact that two separate U.S. companies have offered Vista Outdoors nearly double what the Chez company has offered, and Vista refused the deal. Agree that full autos will not be removed BUT think that mandatory access goes away. Line will be full autos and larger than .50 caliber being "dangerous" and everything else largely unregulated. Nationwide reciprocity of some kind would be the biggest win tho.

I am for nationwide permit simply because it forces people to get training on their firearms. Kind of a driver's license forces people to learn what it is that they want to do
