Actually corpse starch aren't eat everywhere , only on some fews hive world and one of them is Necromunda as you can see is the video. Usually people eat algae-based food produced on agri-worlds or mass-produced synthetic meat from livestock
Soylens Viridians gets mentioned often. A synthetic nutrient usually created from a form of green algae. Also Grox meat. With Grox beeing the 40k equivalent of pigs.
Don't forget agri-worlds as well for food production. The vast majority of the Imperium is fed from these worlds, corpse-starch is mostly for the lowest of the low or for penal worlds
Ive noticed the lady has a very analytical brain, ive watched so many videos on this channel and she always picks up stuff he doesn't notice or think of lol, they're both great
Living in Wh40k is so terrible that only making it even worse with intent makes the default existence of terribleness seem like bliss. "I hate cleaning spotless statues for the 900th time. But I hate going to the frontline naked even more. Cleaning statues isn't so bad..." Perfect logic.
There are Agri-Worlds where farming happens. The line "There is ONLY WAR" is a little bit of a misnomer. There are "peaceful" worlds, like Agri-Worlds where there's less population and they just make food. But there is ALWAYS danger of war coming to any world at a moments notice so all worlds have varying levels of protection to tackle it. Then there are Hive Worlds, like the one about Necromunda you learned about Corpse Starch from. Where they produce all sorts of things, but mostly people.
There are entire planets that are farms (called agri worlds) corpse starch is really only a thing on some of the most overpopulated hive worlds or distributed as rations during extended military engagements.
The thing you have to understand is that much of the specifics of certain things in lore can vary wildly from planet to planet. For example, corpse starch is common on heavily corrupt hive worlds such as necromunda. However others will have never seen a single can of it. Amasec is another example, effectively a byword for alcohol. Some amasec is like a fine wine, brewed from fruits in barrels of wood, while others can barely be considered alcohol at all being primarily made of engine coolant. This even extends to the very religion of the imperium, depictions and definitions of the emperor's godhood varying from planet to planet. On some, he is a god of the sea, others the sun, and on those closest to the homeworld he is known how he is to the echlisiarchy. The echlisiarchy cannot constantly monitor every aspect of faith on over a million worlds, so as long as they stay true to certain main aspects of faith they are content to let them believe as they wish. Mostly. As for the primarchs, they are not stuck in their armor. They have "normal" bodies under there, the tubes are actually different from person to person. In angron, they are his butchers nails, dark age of technology implants forced upon him that give him constant migraines, reduce his dopamine, and crank it to 11, during acts of bloodlust and murder. However for others like horus and perturabo the tubes are actually data conduits, allowing them to inload data of battlefields and such directly into their brains to give them better understanding of changing battlefield environments.
In the „Let the Galaxy Burn!“ Trailer the narrator is the Arch-Traitor Horus himself. As a Primarch, he is extremely tall and powerful, taller even than space marines and the Adeptus Custodes. The Primarchs, like the space marines (and even some normal humans) were often augmented by cybernetics to some extent (mostly pretty minor though) to better interface with their power armor. In case of the Primarchs, their armor was always custom-made, uniquely for them. Hence, I believe the tubes and the wires.
You haven't uploaded the second part of Bricky's Reacting to Factions video yet, but I wanted to address something about women: they can be a bit poorly represented in artwork, writing and models, but they ARE present in basically every faction other than the space marines. There are lots of women in the Imperial Navy, the Imperial Guard, the Inquisition, the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Assassins, the Imperial Knights, the Arbites, the sanctioned Psykers and Administratum, and more recently it was clarified there are also women in the Custodes (please don't start a flame war in my replies, I'm only reporting the state of things).
Her being like "look at all the heads!" made me wonder what she would think of the Dawn of War III opening since the same ans is so "yeah this is 40K"...
Well, the issue with corpse starch isn't as exaggerated as it sounds. It's not the only thing humanity consumes in the 41st millennium. However, in hive worlds, designed solely for producing soldiers and no other resources, feeding such a large population requires a simple and effective solution - corpse starch. Unless you're a member of one of the noble houses, corpse starch often becomes one of the few food options on hive worlds, apart from the occasional rat or giant insect. This is why people willingly enlist in the army. As soldiers, they can eat better, gaining access to things like nutrient bars or food rations based on grok (an alien that's a mix between a cow and a dragon) or the closest thing to chicken, at least in taste (an alien that resembles a mix between a gorilla and a crab).
my man, you are still surprised that people are forced to do stuff (like make corpse starch) in hive cities, you have a long road ahead of you in 40k lore.
Remember, the Milky Way Galaxy portrayed in the 40k Lore, is a Dying Galaxy on its last Leg. Its a Place where everyone at one time had it all, and lost it due to Fate or their own Hubris. Its a Place where you can live only in the ruins and off the carcasses of those that preceded you. Its a Place where everyone is fighting for survival. Humanity strive not cause they have some higher goal to reach or cause they Hope for a better future, but they fight and survive to avoid exctinction. And if they are gonna go Out, they WILL take down as many as they can with them, Humanity is going down, but its going down Swinging and Humanity's Hands are rated "E" for everyone. Humanity survived all these millenias out of Spite, cause they rather would kill everyone else than let them be the Dominant species of the galaxy. Its litteraly to the Last Man Standing.
6:20 That is actually a varried answer. Baseline that is just armor but as with a lot of the chaosmarines the chaos Primarchs probably can't take their armor off anymore.
*Yes, Corpse Starch is a thing, but it's not the only foodstuff in the whole of the Imperium. There are a million worlds in the Emperor's domain, displaying a huge variety of climates, geology, ecology, etc. Just as we've heard mention of worlds exclusively devoted to mining or industry, for example, so, too, are there fertile agri-worlds covered with farms as far as the eye can see. There is a variety of foodstuffs, though some of the privileged classes will have better access than others.*
hi love the vods funny to see reactions and small piece of lore, all astartes including the primarchs have the ability to remove their armour and have a collection of different armours often stored/maintained by tech adepts from the mechanicus, primarch Roboute Guilliman and the traitor primarchs/astartes are the exceptions since Roboute duelled with mortarian another traitor primarch and was mortally wounded forcing him to wear his armour as an impromptu life support system, traitor astartes aswell as the primarchs become so corrupted that they often mutate and end up fusing with their suit turning them into armoured demons or such abominations as an oblitorator or deamon prince.
let it be known its not always corpse starch. Thats just for the most destitute/poor and horrible worlds. There are worlds out there that live life in a more closer to cyberpunk type of world where the food is made from Grox (Space lizard cows that produce beef and milk and all the things cows do and its huge.)

Not everyone does corpse starch though. It's more popular in hive cities where resources are scarce. Necromunda (the video you guys watched) is one of the more extreme examples. Don't know if you saw the Armouring of a space marine videos. That should answer some questions as well.
"now it seems that they like suffering" OHHHHHHH BOY, you have no idea. though some (i think it was Order of the Martyred Lady?) like it A LOT more than others, sometimes having to be prevented from trying to martyr themselves. 9:40 im not 100% sure on the structure of the sisters, but its likely similar to space marine chapter where they have "serfs" and other supporting personnel, allowing the warriors among them to do battle. as such you could be part of a sisterhood order, without having to do battle. the real question is if your faith in the emperor is strong enough

Koda & Isyander have an excellent hour long episode on the sisters of battle. Talks about how they literally orbital drop church's down on the enemy.

Yeah, the greatest threat to agri-worlds are either enemy forces attempting to disrupt supply lines (I'm looking at you, Alpha Legion) or Tyranids.
@ Or Imperial intrigue mucking about with supply lines for political gain
There are entire planets that are farms (called agri worlds) corpse starch is really only a thing on some of the most overpopulated hive worlds or distributed as rations during extended military engagements.
The Primarchs can leave their suits. I also recommend checking out more WesHammer lore videos.
A 40k Commercial for that could be.
Corpse Starch! Make it, or become it, Corpse Starch!
The real reason there is only war isn’t to defeat chaos or save mankind, it’s so that big Corpse Stracha can keep their stock price up 😂

There is of course the humble Grox. It has been a part of Warhammer since Rouge Trader (1988). Arch has an episode that is dedicated to it.
Arbitor Ian is good for info into the daily life. A great book for a view of the average plebs life is Bloodlines.
