I loved it dude!!! Such a great video, but that’s to be expected by such an awesome UA-camr like yourself!! Looking forward to the streams Tuesday and Thursday as always my dude, have a great night!
30:47 Ironically Legends/EU Cortosis *ABSOLUTELY does* short out sabers but ONLY if it's almost totally pure (And you generally never wanted it pure because Pure Cortosis sucks against EVERYTHING else, even including other non-lightsaber energy weapons like blasters! So you're better off with a mix that resists everything, including lightsabers but doesn't shut them off) Disney Canon changed cortosis into something that just turned heat including from normal blaster bolts into electricity that can be safely conducted away in an early book, and then slowly walked it back in a Thrawn Novel, and now in the Acolyte seems to be going back to how Pure Cortosis worked in Legends.
You may be basing your lore on KotOR, but Drew Karpyshyn doesn't know dick about Cortosis, he has Darth Bane's origin be in a Cortosis Mine, but the Cortosis is extremely resistant to all energy attacks and even its "Weakness" to kinetic damage is only relative, making it just a god metal in general. Completely the opposite of the brittle stuff that needs to be alloyed in all other work.
I liked Episode 2 on GBA. It was decent for a portable game. The other Episode 2 tie in games like Bounty Hunter and Clone Wars and Jedi Starfighter were where the budget really went
I gotta say as a kid who grew up w the prequel movies seeing them in theaters I honestly am not too crazy about them now but I do remember going to seeing 2 just because of the yoda doing badass flips with his lightsaber ad they would spam on tv that shit was so cool to my 12 year old brain lol
I had the Attack of the Clones game as a kid. I was not the biggest fan of it, but it was about the only game I had on the handheld. Id probably try and give another chance one day.
I thought this was gonna be one of those 'just gameplay' videos. Awesome retrospective! Subscribed! I'm already checking your other videos. Greetings from Chile!
Just a minor correction. Cortosis was introduced in the 1998 novel I, Jedi, and in that novel, it did short out lightsabers just like we saw in The Acolyte. We also see it shorting out Vader's lightsaber in some of the Legends comics. It's only in the video games where cortosis lost that property, since it would be frustrating for players to deal with, and hard for developers to implement in a balanced fashion. So video games introduced "cortosis weave," and cortosis alloys that don't have the powerful, lightsaber-shorting effect of pure cortosis.
Fantastic video! Nothing gets me more fired up then the GBA's immaculate vibe. I think the only game here I played was Jedi Power Battle of which I barely remember so this was a pleasant walk down memory lane. I vaguely remember playing that and the Bionicle GBA games on my grandparents couch LOL
I really love how you tie in and explain legends lore in these star wars retrospective. That gba new and the sev'rance tan was completely new to me and really got me intrigued to try it out. Maybe one day you could cover galactic battlegrounds if ur into rts's?
As someone who played Lego Star Wars 2 on GBA, I thought that the GBA version of the game was way worse than the console release, and that is coming from experience with an actual GBA and cartridge.
Flight of the Falcon's development problems are actually outlined on the site Bad Game Hall of Fame. I can't post a link here, unfortunately, because UA-cam will automatically remove the comment.
Is there a way you could cover the arcade game for Star Wars? I just remember it being in a booth and playing it every time my dad took me to the local arcade.
Owned quite a few of these... kinda got the short stick with the ones being the AOTC game and Flight of the Falcon; probably the lesser games on this list.
32:15 This Bariss is more like the one in Medstar. Y'know before Dave Filoni deaged her and derailed her character. 32:22 Disney's official position is that like the first 6 movies TCW's first five seasons are true in both timelines. (Which absolutely bulldozes over numerous other stories like anything involving the planets of Ryloth & Mandalore, or the characters of Bariss Offee or Evan Piel.
Also Disney did NOT take any of the "Second Multimedia Project" OTHER than the show itself into their new canon. Which makes sense since many of those books and comics were written when authors were still desperately trying to fit them into the old EU, contradictions be damned. Like the TCW novel No Prisoners by Karen Traviss has the Altisian Jedi from Children of the Jedi (Retconned into a heretic/Schismatic sect) and Gilad Motherlovin Pellaeon.
Cortosis absolutely shorts out lightsabers in the old EU. The only place cortosis doesn't do that was videogames. KOTOR, Obi-Wan, and Jedi Academy all depict it as merely lightsaber resistant, probably because they didn't want to bother implementing a whole "lightsaber shut down" game system into the combat.
Disingenuous video too. None of the games looked anything like what is portrayed here. The GBA had no backlight. Every game was squinting to try and see what was going on. Depressing.

YOOOOO ITS FINALLY HERE!!!! Evan thank you so much I’ve been waiting so long for this video
Hope you enjoyed it!

I literally just finished reading Heir to the Empire, and you post this. beautiful
You're gonna love the next two books.

Why you gotta do this to me on a day when I'm going to be out of the house?
It'll be here when you get back!

The new droid army was so good
1:05:15 I absolutely love the art style of this game! They did such a great job translating the designs to the small screen.
good stuff! You really put some effort into this! Thanks for your work!
I was one of those kids in 2002 who played Attack of the Clones. I didn’t like it back then as a 10 year old. I found it incredibly clunky.
When the video lives up to the hype. Chill GBA vibes.
We vibin
Great videos man, keep it up! 🎉

What's crazy is that I, Jedi was one of the first SW books I ever read, and I don't even remember that being a thing. Thanks for the info!

"Sometimes *NOT* including Ki-Adi Mundi is the right call"
I know what you did there 😂
Wow! Amazing work on this video, I love it!
I love this. I played mostly all those too.
I really love how you tie in and explain legends lore in these star wars retrospective. That gba new and the sev'rance tan was completely new to me and really got me intrigued to try it out. Maybe one day you could cover galactic battlegrounds if ur into rts's?
Id love to some day!

Nice video.
I never owned a GBA but played some of these in emulators. My favorite is New Droid Army too. I played it recently for the first time.
Great video. Can’t wait if you ever get around all the Xbox games!
28:50 Watto should have said sorry about Anakin's mother. Because books wise he really did like her.

Email it to me I'd love to see it!
Finally!
Gameboy SP 4Lyfe! (Never forget having to write down the passwords for the AoTC game.)
Is there a way you could cover the arcade game for Star Wars?
I just remember it being in a booth and playing it every time my dad took me to the local arcade.
I think that'd be fun so maybe.
Watching video about GBA games in 4k: pixels, pixels everywhere
Hell yeah dude!
I’ve played the GBA version of RoTS on my Mac through emulation and it’s fun like genuinely fun. Better than the movie in some aspects.
the Tatooine Count is your version of the Sewer Count. 😏
Luuke is totally not a stupid name what do you mean? Lol. I still love the Zahn books.
Owned quite a few of these... kinda got the short stick with the ones being the AOTC game and Flight of the Falcon; probably the lesser games on this list.
33:16 Looks more like Jet Alone.

RIP I'm still going to keep believing the first multimedia project is all true legends Canon.
I had way to many of these games
The flight of the falcon game has the opposite movmement of what it should be.when u go down the ship should be going up not down aswell
Revenge of the Sith 3DS was better. Had flying sections that the Game Boy Advance didn't have
Algorithm comment.
Couldn’t even watch the video. EVERY 5 min a ad. Every 5 minutes. Massive downvote
Thanks for the feedback! Went in and altered the UA-cam ad placement manually to be less frequent.
I dont need to think of it as a multiverse because Disney Wars is non canon
