What a fuckin album from start to finish. Still listen to this day. The layers, the tempos, the emotions, the riffs, the drumming and the songwriting is amazing.
It's my fault this band broke up. I had just turned 13 when i got this CD for my birthday and i absolutely hated it in favor of What It Is To Burn. I'm 20 now and have been obsessed with this album as of late. I'm so sorry, Finch. Although i have to admit it's kind of funny that it's been said that this album is about them maturing away from WIITB and i liked that album more when i was younger and now that i'm an older shittier/more cynical person I adore this album. FOOD FOR THOUGHT PERHAPS
I agree with you guys completely, when i first listened to this album i couldn't believe it was the same band that made What it is to burn. but the more i listened to it the more i loved it!!! definitly way before its time!!!
i agree. i was so amazed by the change that took place between WIITB and SHTS. they took the genre to a whole different level i think and i am really looking forward to the next full length. i hope i'm as happy with it as i was with SHTS.
it's too bad more bands don't make an album like this, after being asscotiated with a certain sound. I was dreading more of the same, when this came out, but they proved me wrong. this album blew me away when I heard it, loved it right away. easily their best. hello, sunshine...goodbye, finch.
este men es increible su redobels un astro en al bateria como lo dije y lo dire para mi aaron gillespie y marc allen son los mejores en al bateria por su pasion
this album is a fucking masterpiece. anyone who says otherwise knows shit all bout music. the lyrics, the structure, the dynamics, the experimentation. its all amazing
totally agree... you should check out their EP's: falling into place, finch, and the very hard to find "white album" Their " white album" came after say hello to sunshine and their self titled EP came just before, but they still kept the progressive and experimental sound. You would like it. Both albums sound like extensions of hello to sunshine.
i loved the first album, it holds a huge place in my heart, lotsa memories attached, but i love the second album because of how different it was, Reduced to teeth was a great song! i dunno, i guess they had their reasons, but i'd love to see them back.
@Hutchino46 COMPLETELY AGREE. sick of finch fans saying this album sucks. you aren't a fan if you only like what it is to burn, which is still a good album too.
Great song from a great album. But it was such a departure from their other stuff at the time that the majority of their fans couldn’t deal with it. IMO, if they let Marc Trombino produce it, that might’ve helped bridge the gap a bit, but que sera, sera. Thx for the upload.
Finch was one of those bands that would've have kept getting better with time. The musicianship on SHTS was so much better than WIITB. Too bad no one likes progress. RIP Finch.
finch is fucking awesome. the first album was good when i was a teen, then i got older and the second one is fucken awesome. better i would also say. they are a verrryyyy talented band i would say. they kill shit live
both albums were going against the popular scene. at the time. i have huge respect for them for going a different direction on their second album instead of doing what everyone else did and keep making the same crap. or going softer or making it more 'scene'. when 'what it is to burn' came out, 'emo' wasnt around. or wasnt big yet. it was just post-hardcore. they still didnt go with the scene. they are the man. but i agree with you.
Yes ! But I think it's the same with Deftones, they can do The better or The Poorest live ever seen :D. When you'r going to see Deftones you must be lucky they will be in a good day. ( Sorry for my very bad English :X )
I've seen some vids of bad live performances too. But they've picked up the slack a lot since the earlier days. And they sound more refined nowadays, albeit not always perfect. At least they don't sound as bad as deftones does live. Great band, sucky live perfomance.
This is beautiful. Also, the guitarists are lazy with the backup vocals. If they would have polished up the singer like they are supposed to (yes, the singers are all primadonas), we would have had more albums from this amazing band.
This album was extraordinary.
Ahead of its time and super underrated.
Totally
ever
So dark and so god damn good
What a fuckin album from start to finish. Still listen to this day. The layers, the tempos, the emotions, the riffs, the drumming and the songwriting is amazing.
The faith no more influence, intended or not is really noticible. Which is awesome.
A lot of Radiohead too
Finch's masterpiece, for sure. I never get sick of this album.
2019 this whole album is still amazing
2020 and I'm still listening to it like it just came out yesterday. A true masterpiece.

Just bought this album. Excited to finally listen to it!!
I like to think of the movie The Machinist while listening to this
Just blasted this whole álbum in my car... This song gets me every time and this is one of my favorite live performances from them.

i can't believe it!!!!!they are back! soooooo awesome!
I agree with you guys completely, when i first listened to this album i couldn't believe it was the same band that made What it is to burn. but the more i listened to it the more i loved it!!! definitly way before its time!!!
i bought their cd without even knowing what i was buying, and damn i discovered my favorite band. they're just amazing
so glad i got to see these live before they split.
it's so fucking awesome. i forgot about it for awhile, but i dug the album out today and tossed it in my car... it's amazing.

this album is a fucking masterpiece. anyone who says otherwise knows shit all bout music. the lyrics, the structure, the dynamics, the experimentation. its all amazing
This is the worst thing that you have ever done. - Best line ever
Best line ever
Yeah I like how it implies the person does a lot of bad shi but finally he takes the cake.
So damn good. I wish they were still together. I hate that I never saw them because I live in England :(
totally agree... you should check out their EP's: falling into place, finch, and the very hard to find "white album"

They sound great live, just like the CD. I love bands that can sound as good live as they do on the CD.
¡Excelente presentación en vivo!
i loved the first album, it holds a huge place in my heart, lotsa memories attached, but i love the second album because of how different it was, Reduced to teeth was a great song! i dunno, i guess they had their reasons, but i'd love to see them back.
I have the album poster hanging up in my basement which hung up at FYE in the store window. Its fucking awesome..
i couldnt agree more!
@Hutchino46 COMPLETELY AGREE. sick of finch fans saying this album sucks. you aren't a fan if you only like what it is to burn, which is still a good album too.
they are back together, in case you hadn't heard the great news
fuckin right man..this album is a masterpiece...
it's all finch baby...
this is from the album "say hello to sunshine"
couldn't agree more! finch forever! and when u get back together come to Greece(lol, just dreaming..)
Great song from a great album. But it was such a departure from their other stuff at the time that the majority of their fans couldn’t deal with it. IMO, if they let Marc Trombino produce it, that might’ve helped bridge the gap a bit, but que sera, sera. Thx for the upload.
@Hutchino46 Its easily one of my favorite albums of all time. The definition of a perfect record..
Finch was one of those bands that would've have kept getting better with time. The musicianship on SHTS was so much better than WIITB. Too bad no one likes progress. RIP Finch.
say hello to sunshine is AMAZING. i hope they don't stray from that sound on the next record.
yeah, your right!
@Hutchino46 i agree this is one of the most complicated records for the same reasons you wrote here
Tie me to a chair, subconsciously
Surrendering
Now that I'm awake
It's hard for me to make believe
way to go intense man, but yeah, I agree with you, hahahaha. Finch kicks major ass.
"finch need to get back together." I agree!!!!
finch is fucking awesome. the first album was good when i was a teen, then i got older and the second one is fucken awesome. better i would also say. they are a verrryyyy talented band i would say. they kill shit live

damn they sing good
She’s such a babe
finch rulez
oh...well if he did it would be freaking awesome...but right now it's just awesome :P
awesome, but the sound keeps zoning out >{
that would be the logical answer
their last album is the shiiit!
I remember throwing this cd out the car window because it was so bad in comparison to what it is to burn lmao
you missed out
Go listen to Project Mayhem
Good one!
fuck ya!!!!
Yes ! But I think it's the same with Deftones, they can do The better or The Poorest live ever seen :D. When you'r going to see Deftones you must be lucky they will be in a good day.
( Sorry for my very bad English :X )
lmfao Nate looks lik Chris Sabin from TNA xD
something's wrong with the mic, or with the way nate holds it.
have they split up then???
Not always ... with finch some live are bad. But with this linup ( with Allen ) it sounded AWESOME.
@Hutchino46 i know right, completely underrated... sad.
I've seen some vids of bad live performances too. But they've picked up the slack a lot since the earlier days. And they sound more refined nowadays, albeit not always perfect.
At least they don't sound as bad as deftones does live. Great band, sucky live perfomance.
what are you 12?
This is beautiful. Also, the guitarists are lazy with the backup vocals. If they would have polished up the singer like they are supposed to (yes, the singers are all primadonas), we would have had more albums from this amazing band.
No, that's just his inability to hold a microphone correctly.
wrong !!!!!! check again
i dont like finch, but they were a cool band R.I.P.
no shit dude
go bug someone else.
Ugh.. the screaming... WHY... Would be such a good tune, otherwise.
